Import map road closures from official sources
Automatically import road closures from official government sources available on the web.
In my area there are several government website that report road closures during storms or natural disasters. Scripts could be built to get the information from the web page, and automatically close/open/update road closures.

Separate toggles for Toll Bridges and Express Lanes
Please add an option to avoid Express Lanes while still using Toll Bridges.
The HOV lanes in my area are being converted to Express Lanes that charge excessive tolls (closing in on $10) to use them. I refuse to drive in them. However, it's necessary for me to cross toll bridges to get to work (avoiding them will add an hour to my commute). If I tell Waze to avoid tolls, I avoid the Express Lanes AND the Toll Bridges, which is terrible.

Road closures
I'm a traffic flagger for a utility company. When I need to close a road, i can't do it unless I'm at the nearest intersection. How do I do this without being at that intersection, which may be a long distance from my work site.
Also, how can I open a road I've closed? Seems the next wazer has to open it; that's mot fair to other drivers. How can I open a road ive closed?6 votes -
Report "Road closed": choose a certain segment of road ahead as closed
Marked my first closed road today when a truck was burning on the highway... it's really great that it's possible to notify others of road closures now!
But (there's always a but, isn't there?) it should be possible to mark a closure ahead, not right where I am. I marked it right when I left the highway, which only closed the little piece of highway between the off- and on-ramp. It was impossible to mark the highway after the on-ramp where the truck was burning as closed... :(

Display route with toll and no toll
When navigating to a place, display on the map the route with tolls and the route with no tolls. Having to turn on and off the avoid toll to compare both routes is an extra step that can be eliminated when planning a drive.

Improve road detection while navigating
When navigating along roads that have service/access roads, the navigation will want to enter the freeway/highway/tollway/etc. If the driver stays on the access road or exits onto the access road, Waze does not detect that and keeps the location locked to the planned route. If Waze wants to route you onto a freeway/highway/tollway/etc. and you do not take the on-ramp, the app locks onto the planned route and thinks you are on the highway.

Entities reporting Road Closures
Government departments or other entities that may close roads should have the capability to report road closures in advance and monitor these closures from the back end.

It would be easier to setup few default hotkeys for road accidents instead of choosing accident - on road - fixing the road.

Reports road issues to road administrators
Introduce a button or suggestion for the situation when user want to report something wrong on the road (unwanted obstacles, dead animals, pot holes, etc.) to forward the report directly to road administrator (Country, County, City).

Quality of road surface w/ permanence
Allow users to report the quality of the road surface (beyond the occasion pothole / object in the road). A crowd sourced critique of how smooth/good the road surface is that has “permanence”. Like construction notices, when planning routes out of town, this could help drivers avoid bad sections of Interstate/ State routes. Add this category to reporting button so drivers can share their assessment, recheck every mile (“still a road quality of rough?) once a driver flags the road surface as poor / rough / bumpy / etc. Not to be alerted, but to be used in route…

Change Road Hazard
Under road hazard / side of road. Remove missing sign. Add Tractor/Trailer. If I am new to a area I really wouldn't know what sign is missing and if I am from the area I probably wouldn't notice it missing. We see more cars on the side of the road but the big rigs are bigger and more likely to be hanging out in traffic,

Differentiate "dirt road" of "4x4 trail".
"Dirt road / 4x4 trail" should be called "4x4 trail" only, and keep the same navigation capabilities as now, only to be allocated as such the badly damaged roads that only 4x4 vehicles are able to travel it.
In the "street category" should be added a new type of segment called "dirt road", which would be passable streets for any vehicle but their ability to circulate them may vary due to various external factors such as weather. Mark bad quality road
There are so many roads witch are paved, but the quality is so awful, its more like driving on dirt road or trail. Would be great to mark bad quality roads so I could avoid driving there and save my car instead of braking it driving trough. Of course there should be an option to avoid bad quality roads also in the Waze app. I hope to see this feature in soon future. Best regards

Hazard on the road
When there is a “hazard” on the road, Waze tells me in audio that there is a hazard and only on screen will identify the specific hazard I.e. car on side of road. It would be great if Waze said out loud the specific hazard so I didn’t need to take my eyes off the road to look at the screen.
