Change Vehicle profile by connected Bluetooth
I am using my device for navigation by car and motorcycle and I regularly forget to change the vehicle type.
I would love to have a feature that depending on what Bluetooth device is connected to the phone the vehicle type would be automatically set to the appropriate one.11 votes -
BLUETOOTH INTERAFACE
I HAVE WONDERED IF WAZE WOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE A INTERFACE THAT WOULD CONNECT TO THE DEVICE WITH BLUETOOTH, THIS WOULD ENABLE USERS TO HAVE A LARGER SCREEN AND THE ABILITY TO USE IT LIKE A SAT NAV ON THE WINDSCREEN FOR INSTANCE.

Support ODB bluetooth dongles
Allow the use of an ODB bluetooth dongle to get a number of improvements. These dongles are quite cheap and provide a wealth of extra data. Possible uses:

Please DON'T Adjust Volume of music/Bluetooth for Voice Navigation!!
From one Music fan to another, please STOP Adjusting the bluetooth volume of my favorite song, for voice navigation!!! That is soooo annoying. I even tried to set the voice navigation to come through my phone instead, and Waze still turned down my bluetooth music.. ughhh. SOLUTIONS:: Either PAUSE the music, when doing the voice navigation, or just do the voice navigation, leaving bluetooth volume alone. You DON'T need to touch the bluetooth audio at all. Configurable sound outputs in Android App
Currently, the Android App is working in an unsatisfying way:
In the Settings menu, under Sound, I've enabled the option to play sounds using the phone's speaker.
When I plug in my earphones in my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S6) I expect all sound to be diverted to the earphones, not being played in the public speaker.Waze does not behave like this. It plays the sound in the speaker regardless of the cable.
My request is to let the user configure, in detail, where the sound should go.
Output sound to:
[ ] Speaker/headphones

Allow the use of bluetooth controls while Waze is in the foreground.
When Waze is running in the foreground, my bluetooth controls don't work. So I have to do a whole bunch of on-screen gymnastics just to skip to the next track in my queue. This is potentially dangerous while driving. I should be able to use the button on my steering wheel. (It works fine when Waze isn't running.)

Use Waze app when connected to Android Auto
While connected to android auto you cannot use Waze on your phone, would be good to have the function of inputting addresses and cancelling routes, issue is to input anything from a phone you have to switch off Bluetooth or the car :(
Unfortunately using android auto in your car can be very tedious rather than simply doing it from your phone.

Can't listen to radio and use Waze if I have bluetooth
Please, give me a way to have my phone connected to my car's bluetooth, listen to the radio, AND hear Waze prompts through my phone's audio! Apparently you used to have a "Prefer Bluetooth" toggle that I could turn off, but it doesn't exist in the version I have. Why would you get rid of this? Now my choices are silence from Waze while I listen to the radio, dead silence in the car until I get a Waze prompt, or turn off Bluetooth completely so that Waze will play through my phone speakers.

External screen (usb or bluetooth)
Hello.
I would like to have an external Head up screen (without using my phone). I am thinking using a screen controled by an arduino. Is it possible to have a plugin for Waze that send some data (speed, speed limit, warning) to the USB or bluetooth to screen it ?
I will be please to developp the screen and arduino interface.

Waze android auto
There needs to be a way to use Waze on car stereos with Android auto WITHOUT forcing you to use the stereo as a Bluetooth device to answer the phone. I like the sound of my Headset better than the radio sound for calls.

I use Waze in my car and work van but I can't use it on my motorcycle as it won't connect to my Bluetooth like TomTom and Google maps does

Permanent Bluetooth Switch
Waze continues to interfere with my Hearing Aids, which are Bluetooth and connected to my iPhone. When I get a phone call, Waze 'automatically' jumps to my hearing aids and am unable to get the call. When I turn on Speaker, it automatically changes to Hearing Aids when a call comes in.
I suggest that Waze put in a switch in the App. so the USER can PERMANENTLY turn off this interference.

Connecting to CarPlay and using Bluetooth
When connecting to CarPlay don’t change the sound to be default device CarPlay

Android Auto - Add "share drive" functionality to Android Auto interface.
This is one feature I use all the time from the app...that is missing from the Android Auto interface. Please add this.

Android Auto - Use Car Antenna
Right now, when connecting to Android Auto, Waze still uses the phone GPS antenna. In comparison, Google Maps pulls the location from the headset/car antenna, which is often placed optimally to maximize GPS signal strength from within the car.
Please set Waze to use the car's GPS antenna when connected via Android Auto

Used to be wake was going over my radio on Bluetooth and now it's stopped doing that. I loved wake because it was working over Bluetooth.
Why did the app stopped working over my Bluetooth in my car!?!? It used to be the best. Going over my radio. Suddenly it stopped!!??!!??
