Dangerous vehicle (e.g., erratice driving) notification and vehicle assistance feature
Two new ideas for improvement
Notification to other drivers of dangerous vehicles (e.g., erratic driver, distracted driver, aggressive driver)
A link to tow services or vehicle assistance along route. Waze could serve as a great assistance if you breakdow and require a tow or vehicle assistance. If you set it up to accept online payment (like Uber) Waze could get a percentage cut of the fees for any tow vehicles dispatched. Auto select vehicle type
I use waze on my car and motorbike. It is very annoying to start riding on the motorbike and to discover you forgot to switch the vehicle type in the app.
Maybe you can auto select the vehicle type according to the multimedia connection to the phone Bluetooth. That would be great improvement.3 votes -

Add > Hazard > On road > Vehicle Stopped/Broken down
There are numerous times when one comes across a broken down or stalled vehicle in the road, and you end up reporting it as "Other" or even report it as "On Shoulder" which is inaccurate.

Providing an alternative route if vehicle dimensions don't match
Waze would be even more impressive if the dimensions of the vehicle could be added by the owner of the vehicle. Thus providing safety entering tunnels, small roads etc and more important providing an alternative route

Add option to avoid low bridges based on vehicle height.
Low bridges need to be avoided. Need an option to route based on avoiding low bridges. Vehicle height or minimum bridge height could be used to route.

It would be great to have a possibility to set maximum speed of my vehicle / motorbike.

I drive an older diesel vehicle, entering some parts is.. costly. Add section for vehicles with certain limitations.

How about being able to add us a vehicle is on the right or left side of the direction you’re traveling, and also adding if it’s a car or truck?

Report vehicle on shoulder of on/off ramp
If near an on/off ramp and reporting a vehicle on the shoulder, it should ask if the vehicle is on the shoulder of the highway or the ramp.

Vehicle icons in settings
In settings, when choosing a vehicle icon, it would be nice if the icon was visible to preview without having to leave settings and returning to the map to view the vehicle. It's a lot of back and forth when trying to pick one, especially when new ones are added.

Obscured vehicle speed
When driving in an average speed trap zone, the vehicle speed is partially obscured by the average speed trap indicator.
ALSO.. when approaching a speed camera while in the zone a banner pops up TOTALLY obscuring the vehicle speed until the camera proximity is passed.
This is a NEW FAULT affecting only average speed zones since a recent update when a banner issue obscuring speed indicator for all speed cameras was resolved
Please resolve this frustrating issue.

HGV and LGV vehicle types
HGVs and LGVs have differing speed restrictions and only being able to follow the speed limit of cars can lead to possible financial and legal consequences.
Please could we have an option to select these vehicle types and change the speed limits accordingly as well as other aids for example restrictions for these vehicles, including height and weight restrictions.
This will inevitably help the commercial market adopt Waze as well as aiding the consumer market who use similar vehicles.13 votes -
Have option to shut off vehicle stopped on shoulder.
Vehicle stopped on shoulder alert comes up constantly. If you're on a highway, you shouldn't be driving on the shoulder or breakdown lane!!!
Have an option to shut off this alert...
Or people, stop reporting it!!!!

Speed alerts relevant to the vehicle driven
Hi could you make it possible to have a option to choose a van as a vehicle option? By selecting the vehicle as a car when driving a van makes the speed limit alerts incorrect. Thanks

Option to hide "Select vehicle type" button
I stopped needing to use Waze for a while, so I'm not sure when it was added, but one of the "new" changes I noticed right away when using it recently, and that I absolutely hate, is the "Select vehicle type" button that is now ALWAYS visible. That makes no sense. I can't imagine many people are switching vehicle types on a regular basis, and it should be optional so those that are can have it there and those that have no need for it don't have it sitting there being distracting. Improve ways to report your own hazard in your vehicle
, slow moving vehicle option for yourself when you are having your own hazard. We had a problem on the New Jersey Turnpike where are trailer that our boat was sitting on was breaking so we had to drive 10 to 15 miles an hour to get safely to the next exit. I wanted to post slow moving vehicle as a hazard but there was no option. So I kept posting Hazard on the road vehicle on the road and then I typed in slow-moving vehicle. Active vehicle on shoulder
I’d like to see a different color for active vehicles on shoulder, for when people are present or actively working their vehicle. Rather than a vehicle that’s been sitting there for days.

moving maintenance vehicle in hard shoulder
Add ability to report moving maintenance vehicle in hard shoulder, or slow moving dangerous (slow car with defect in hard shoulder, convoi exceptionel, harvestor, tractor,...).
