1. Voice Nav: At the stop sign, turn left. At the stop light, turn right.

   I was riding with a friend yesterday and the app he was using gave him voice instructions like "At the stop light, turn left" and "At the stop sign, turn right". This was way more user friendly and useful than using distances such as "In 300 feet, turn right".

   Waze should add this functionality to its app as it's sometimes confusing which road to turn on when roads are close to each other and knowing that it's at a stop sig or light makes it very easy to figure out.

3. Feature Suggestion: “Group Ride / Buddy Mode” for Safer and More Connected Travel

   To the Waze Team,

   Good day! I am a longtime Waze user, and I truly appreciate how your app continues to innovate in keeping drivers safe and informed. I would like to suggest a new feature that I believe would greatly improve the experience of many users, especially those who travel together.

   I would like to propose a “Group Ride Mode” or “Buddy Mode” where users traveling as a group such as friends, families, and motorcycle convoys can see each other in real time directly on the Waze map. Many riders and drivers often travel together, and having this integrated feature would bring a big advantage in terms of convenience and safety.

   Below are the features that I believe would make this mode extremely useful:

   Proposed Features for Group Ride / Buddy Mode

   1. Real-Time Location Sharing
      Show the live position of each group member on the Waze map using icons or initials.

   2. Distance Gap Indicator
      Display how far each buddy is ( “350m behind,” “1.2 km ahead”).

   3. Re-route Notifications
      If a member takes a different route, the group receives a small alert such as:
      “Alex re-routed now 2.1 km away.”

   4. Group Voice Chat (Push-to-Talk)
      A simple walkietalkie style voice feature for quick updates during the drive.

   5. Group ETA Comparison
      Show the estimated time of arrival for every member to help coordinate stops and arrival times.

   6. Battery Level Indicator
      Notify group members if someone has low battery to avoid surprises when someone drops offline.

   7. Speed Status Sync (Privacy-Safe)
      Show simple speed indicators like: Stopped, Slow, Normal, Fast (no exact speed numbers needed).

   8. “Regroup Alert” Button
      Allows one member to send a signal to the group to slow down or meet at the next stop.

   9. Privacy Controls
      Group access via invite link or code only.
      Option for members to switch to invisible mode anytime.

   10. Emergency/SOS Ping
       A quick SOS button that alerts all members if someone stops unexpectedly or needs assistance.

   Why This Feature is Valuable?
   - This feature would be especially helpful for:
   - Motorcycle groups and riding clubs
   - Family convoys during long trips
   - Friends traveling to the same destination
   - Delivery riders working in teams

   Integrating this into Waze would make group travel safer, more organized, and more enjoyable, while also setting Waze apart from other navigation apps that currently don’t offer this level of real-time group coordination.

   Thank you very much for your time and for continuously improving the Waze experience. I hope you consider this idea, as many users like me would benefit greatly from its addition.

4. Safety road is follow one way circles

   FOLKS, PLEASE READ THIS IS URGENT.
   I have 20 years o driving experience, well my friends died on roads too.. Last time technical failure caused the truck in opposite direction lost its trailer. 80 + 80 = 160kmph = HE DIED.
   Therefore I have imagined how ie. distributors (PpL, DHL,UPS..) travel in circles... In general average, I better don't want to meet these guys in opposite direction. In mathematical model I want to minimize other Wazers passin by. I'd like to get SOME model applied in general and follow just because I am scared of front crash. SOME could be pretty much from existing data of "Avoid complicated left turns". Please navigate us to minimize passing by. Similar road arrangement can be seen ie. also on some festivals so it is not just a dream!! I prefer to come 10min late than never [+].

5. FeedForward

   Hi Waze, I am Ritthik a 10 years old primary school student from Malaysia. I have noted waze users give "feedback" updates (example: an accident, so on), but, why we do not consider "FeedForward" method?

   Let me explain "feedforward", i have seen in numerous occasions that we need to give our way to priority vehicles, example, Ambulance, Fire truck, Police, and many more. But, no users give this to the vehicles in front and we may not realizing that there is a priority vehicle approaching us - this could save lives, prompt action and simply we could do a better "alert" than plotting a cop ahead of us.

   I have shared my idea for a project for my school and I would like to seek your help and assistance on this.

   If this is what we could make it better and enhance our maps - we will be delighted as well we can work with you to make this happen and we could complete our project for the school as well (with my friends).

   We appreciate all you courtesy and support to make our world a better place to live with harmony and joy - with care and support.

   I had an iPhone 6, and after granting permissions to waze to access my contacts, I was able to type a name in the search box and waze would pull it from my contacts.

   I just switched to the Samsung S7 Edge and even after granting permissions and acsees to waze to see my contacts, it won’t pull the name in the search box. I have tried everything.

   Ironically, when I go to my icon on the bottom right and click the + to find friends it shows me all my contacts (the ones that are using waze and the ones that are not) but when I go to search to drive to them, it does not show my ANY contacts

   I use Waze so much and rely on it being able to accsess and draw names from my contacts

8. Waze should add the Postcode of the street you're navigating to while searching.

   I (and quite a few friends) use waze as my primary navigation during deliveries. Besides some buildings not being able to be displayed correctly (common issue across all maps), I really wish that while searching for a street name / house number, Waze would have the postcode come up alongside the street name to make sure you're navigating to the correct one.

   This only happens on 6/10 addresses if you start typing the postcode yourself, but for a lot of addresses trying to type the postcode as well as the street / house number just shows as no results. It would be so much easier if you could type (Postcode) (Number), or when typing the street name the postcode of the suggestions pops up to.

   Would make life a lot easier, since sometimes I have to switch to other maps just to make sure I have the right area, since a lot of customers do not put the county / town name in the address.

9. Option to dial a pre-set at the score we set

   If we can set a waypoint at this point the device will automatically dial the number we set the option for that spot and given a solution for those who want to open a parking gate, Gate City or notify a friend who we got without leaving waze

10. Watch my Drive - Orthographic mistake in Catalan version

    When sharing your drive, your friend receives the following message:
    "Estic fent servir Waze per anar a xxx, arrivaré a les17:50. "
    It should say instead:
    "Estic fent servir Waze per anar a xxx, arribaré a les 17:50. "
    So "arrivaré" is correctly spelt as "arribaré", and there is a missing space before the hour.

    Hi,

    In Malaysia, in the Malay language, the adjective comes after the noun.

    For example:

    "King Street" will literally become "Street King" in the Malay language.

    So, when we are looking at the map and instructions in Waze, the actual name of the road is hidden when it is truncated.

    For example

    Lebuhraya Persekutuan where "Lebuhraya" is "Highway" and "Persekutuan" is the "name", when we view in our phones, we can only see "Lebuhraya" plus maybe a bit of Persekutuan. Most of the times, the name does not appear at all. That is not very helpful.

    Please consider changing the arrangement to be Name-Description e.g.

    Persekutuan, Lebuhraya (instead of the official name Lebuhraya Persekutuan)
    Sultan Ismail, Jalan (instead of the official name Jalan Sultan Ismail)
    Parlimen, Jalan (instead of the official name Jalan Parlimen)
    MEX, Lebuhraya (instead of the official name Lebuhraya MEX)
    Mergastua, Persiaran (instead of the official name Persiaran Mergastua)

    (the comma is optional).

15. Add 2 buttons to main screen

    Puta separate “Police” and “Traffic on shoulder” buttons on the main screen on the right side. I am sure these are the two most frequently used buttons. Removing the additional steps for these two alerts will make it much easier on drivers AND encourage more participation amount users. My friend uses WAZE, but never alerts the app of police because it takes multiple steps to post alert. It will also provide a more accurate location since those two would need only one touch.

    Waze? Absolutely!!!
    It is faster up to date than any other navigation system/device I've used so far.

    Pros
    • folks from different areas going to meet at a certain place? Travel "together" using Waze.
    • See their progress
    • help them by sending them your destination and they'll chose the same location.
    • Slow traffic? Jams/staus? Accidents? Object on road? Car stopped? ...?

    Waze will update you on these and many more issues way before other navigation systems or radio stations will do.
    • Map error? Report it (with details). Usually within a few hours or days, it'll be fixed.

    Cons (will Waze fix those?)
    • when using different apps (as a passenger) while using Waze, Waze always "restarts" asking if I want to continue
    • as friends or family are using Waze, but they're further away than about 1,000 mi, I can't follow their drive nor can they follow mine.
    • While traveling international, no points will be produced
    • While traveling international you're a baby Wazer
    • While traveling international not all places you add/edit/modify won't show up on Waze

    I'm sure (and hopeful) this will be solved!
    The sooner - the better!

17. YOU have a problem with a street in Rock Hill, SC. A friend lives at 2099 Cardinal Hill Drive. You have the street as Cardinal Hill Circle

    CORRECT THE STREET NAME FROM CARDINAL HILL CIRCLE TO CARDINAL HILL DRIVE THAT IS OFF EASTVIEW RD IN THE WESTERN PART OF ROCK HILL NOT FAR FROM YORK PREP ACADEMY.

    Navigate to a saved place using voice command in android with google assistant on Samsung S22 phone. For example, if I have a friend named Jim and enter his address as a saved place in waze and name it "Jim". Then shouldn't I be able to open waze and say: "Ok google, drive to Jim". When I do that now, google assistant responds with "Sorry I don't understand". Isn't that a pretty basic functionality? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

19. sleep timer to improve battery life if screen turned off

    hope waze will automatically turned off the gps and put the app in cached processes or closes it entirely to improve battery life when screen turned off by default, unless the app set otherwise.

    my friend's phone died after using one hour and forgot to switch waze off. lol :D
