sleep timer to improve battery life if screen turned off
hope waze will automatically turned off the gps and put the app in cached processes or closes it entirely to improve battery life when screen turned off by default, unless the app set otherwise.
my friend's phone died after using one hour and forgot to switch waze off. lol :D

Half-screen display on Android Auto
Is itbpossible to optimise the half-screen display on Android Auto to show the key direction information? At the moment the road names trail off if they're too long while there are things like the exit numbers that are in green aesthetic boxes taking up a lot of unnecessary space.
Would be nice to also have the pop-up notification shortcuts to "Home" or "Work" or a chosed Saved Place like Google Maps so I can start on my journey more effectively.

Screen dimming or even shutdown when the vehicle stops
Wase. Please create a screen dimming (or even shutdown) when the vehicle stops and automatically reactivate when moving again. This would be very good for nature (energy saving) and for increasing privacy and security inside the vehicle.

parking button always on screen
there is a lot a free unused space on the top right of the screen, why it can't be used for put a parking botton, so when you are close to the destination you can press it and waze will show you the best parking spot close to the destination!

Add a single pre-programmable button that is always on screen for one type of hazard, that a user can select in setup
This would provide both safety and convenience. The idea is to avoid going through, for instance, three clicks on the screen every time there is a car on the shoulder, or two clicks when there is a police car to report. That single button would be programmable for whichever hazard each Wazer most frequently encounters. It could even be optional, so that someone who doesn’t report hazards frequently wouldn’t use up any screen space. If screen space is considered by the team to be “too valuable” on smaller, phone screens, perhaps it could be a feature for Car Play…

Wrong indication on navigation screen of my Skoda kodiak
AT each roundabout, a U turn IS shown on the navigation screen of my Skoda kodiak (not the Android multimedia screen) whereas the direction is to go straight forward. This problem doesn't exist with Google maps. I wish I could send photos to illustrate the problem

Delete the GO NOW screen on android auto
It would be nice to get rid of the GO NOW screen that pops up after already using a shortcut or my voice to text. The go now question screen takes my attention away from driving and my hands off the wheel a second time. It's totally unnecessary because I already used the shortcut. Thanks

Remove the screen distractions
There are way too many map distractions/popups in the latest update. The drive/go now that pops up everytime Waze starts up is annoying and the main reason I left Google maps. Many of the added features (thank you pop-up on reports, resume drive) are totally unnecessary and there should be a way to customize it for users that do not want to see those distractions on the screen.

Notifications on screen that divert my attention while driving.
when I get started a black box pops up with drive ideas and while I'm driving it constantly pops up with useless info. I'm beginning to watch my screen more than the road now. Audio cues are the way to go, I don't need my screen calling my attention to a radio while I'm driving. I'm sure a lawyer would love to sue you based on this so at least give me a way to stop the messages on screen.

Get rid of new hamburger menu icon, put functionality back into search screen
New hamburger menu icon doesn't need to be there. Takes up too much space for rarely used functionality. Put settings and stuff back into the search screen. The idea to move that into a totally new icon was bad.
Want to add something useful to the map?
Add a "favorites" icon where when it opens we can have one-tap reporting for report features I use the most- cops, roadkill, traffic - instead of digging around in the reporting screen.
Also, should be able to EXIT waze by swiping from the right edge a couple times.

On Screen Button Size
Android Auto on Ford F150 8.2" display. Buttons for "still there" and "not there" for reported hazards have a height to width ratio of about 0.16. Very difficult to press correctly as the finger moves up/down with vehicle movement. Button is too narrow.
Suggest that the "there" "not there" buttons have a H to W ratio closer to 1.0. Same screen space will be occupied, but buttons will be much easier to press.

Audi A4 2017 Android Auto is not touch screen. Click defaults needs to be improved for scrolling. Needs a review of multitouch via MMI and click defaults. Many of the screens nothing is initally selected and I have to scroll muliple times before something is highlighted. Also would like to use the MMI in the drivers vision

Turn by turn broken in Landscape mode on phone as second screen
When using my phone as a second screen in landscape orientation it no longer shows the turn by turn on the full phone screen. Instead, the phone screen looks like Waze is not connected to the car and shows the map as well. This is not useful since the map is already on the main car screen and now the turn by turn is not readable

Show current scale on screen (cm long line with how many meters it is).
Sometimes it is hard to know if a juction is a km away or just 50 meters, specially if you're only showing map without any guidance. Autoscale makes this even more difficult.

please, hide "my waze" and "search bar" when im driving and no destination is set.
they take half screen when the phone is in landscape orientation (5.5" inch phone)

Make the screen larger when making a turn or an exit on the highway
So when you driving on the highway, and you have to exit or switch road make the screen larger, so it can be visible to switch an exit to proceed because sometimes everything looks the same on the small screen. It’s kind of confusing. Sometimes you miss the exit.

Hello, I want to use Waze with Android Auto with all map on screen, there is a way to take out the left window with destination?
I have 8 inch screen but the left half part of this is hidden by destination window. Unnecessry on the driving, already know where I want to go.

Add an option to change where the alert is displayed on your phone screen (eg. speed cameras) from the bottom or top of your phone screen
Add an option to change where the alert is displayed on your phone screen (eg. speed cameras) from the bottom or top of your phone screen. As i find that for me when the alert is on the bottom i miss it due to the placement of my phone in the phone holder so if it was on the top of the screen that would be much better for me personally so give users the option to change where the alert is displayed on screen.
