1. I dont have an idea – there's a problem

   We have been driving from Toronto to Ottawa this morning, and all along HWY 401, every single report of police or cars on the side has been bogus. Not one of them has been right, and there have been a LOT of reports – way too many to be true. I expect a few cops and cars will have moved along before we see them, but not every one of them. Something is wrong with the algorithm, or someone is being a ******* and reporting things that aren't there.

2. Allow entering destinations while driving.

   Passengers should be able to use the app while the car is on the road, same for drivers trying to change destinations during a red light.

4. Hi..I love using WAZE...I use it exclusively over my cars navigation system. My suggestion is for more reporting icons. We have policether v

   How about a police icon on the move? Only have visible or not. Also, another icon for other emergency vehicles such as Ambulances or fire vehicles. Would really help to have them. Thanks!

5. Change Vehicle profile by connected Bluetooth

   I am using my device for navigation by car and motorcycle and I regularly forget to change the vehicle type.
   I would love to have a feature that depending on what Bluetooth device is connected to the phone the vehicle type would be automatically set to the appropriate one.

6. Speed limit announcement

   It would be nice if speed limits on the motorways could already be announced in advance (with distance information, e.g. 120 km/h in 800 m). I got to know and love this function in Sygic Car Navigation...

   This saves fuel and brakes...

8. maximum one report per X miles

   Hi there,

   Waze is awesome and everyone is using it. Some like me to navigate from Northern Denmark all the way to Romania on holiday others just to find out about speed traps.

   In Romania, Waze caught a lot of media attention so we have a lot of new users, who are obsessed with the points. The new users part is good. We get more reports, more places, we improve on the map problems and we know exactly where the police is :)))

   But then due to the point system, the new users instead of thanking for a reported police trap they keep re-posting the same thing a lot. This leads to 10-20 police reports for only one police speed trap.

   In a village which was 1km long I've seen 13 police reports for the same police car. I generally look from time to time on the map, and even if it is a police marked on the other side I pay attention to the speed limit.

   It would be nice to have a limit of reports per a certain distance. I've used other police trap apps and they were limiting the distance between the reports. This way you could only report another police trap if it as more than 1 km away from an already existing one.
   This is also happening for traffic reports where on a stretch of 1km road you get 20-30 heavy/standstill traffic. This will only load the server and client uselessly and also consume more data on the end user and server.

   SUGGESTION: Limit the number of POLICE (visible or invisible)/WEATHER/TRAFFIC/CAR STOPPED ON SHOLDER/ROAD WORKS reports to maximum 1 per 1km in both directions. If a user tries to post a new similar/identical report, use his report as a THANK YOU for the existing report and warn the user to use the thank you (thumbs up) button next time.
   The pothole report should be left as it is, as you might have potholes 800m apart.

9. Have users rate the condition of the railway crossing afterwards. Keep data on all crossings to identify

   Ever go over one of those railway crossings and think, "What the **** did I just go over?" All over the country, cars have to cross some of the most poorly maintained crossings, putting not only their vehicles at risk but could cause loss of life if one goes over it too quickly without realizing the mess they are in. Wouldn't it be cool if users could be prompted to enter a rating on the condition of the crossing so that Waze can warn people who may have older or more sensitive cars about an upcoming bad crossing? I am sure people would love to know that they really have to slow down or risk damaging their cars. Waze can even consider the crossing when planning the route or give the driver the option to use the crossing or avoid the crossing.

10. Need a widget for android to display map on home screen.

    I use a tablet for my car entertainment center, and use waze over google maps. I want a way to add a widget that can display current navigation map on the home screen, so that way I won't need to use split screen all the time. Could have ability to launch full app by hitting the widget if need to interact with waze completely, if too hard to have it interact fully on widget only.

11. Waze should stop after disconnecting from car play

    Waze starts automatically after connecting to carplay, but doesn’t turn off automatically after disconnecting from carplay. It should turn off automatically based on proximity to destination + carplay disconnect + optional couple minutes delay :) I think this will be a better user experience and will improve battery life of the user. I saw a few threads on reddit about this issue but without a solution.

13. Small footprint car icon set on the iPhone

    Could you please consider to either bring back or reintroduce small footpeimt car icon set. There was very basic set of a blue, yellow or green car set, that were smaller in size and for the smaller car screens they were very ergonomic. Now with the replacement of a larger versions, map screen becomes more cluttered, larger car icon takes more space on the screen and does not bring any value just distraction. When you try to glance to the screen while driving you see big car icon first and then trying to figure out what is around the icon. Previously, with the small icons, it was easy to understand the distance to the crossroad or other map artefact. Now it is difficult to use waze as these big car icons takes attention first, it is difficult intuitevely calculate distance to the object, car icon itself overlay roads, disregards map scale. Bigger car icons woble on the route direction while driving and in such way brings unnecessary uncertainty to the route as you double check the screen. I’m not asking to bring back qny specific icons rather the give opirtuniti to chosse between large and small footprint icons. As for the reference you could check the original set of blue, green and yllow car icons. Thanks

14. "Express" Hazard Reporting

    Love Waze, but I don't like how many actual touches are required to report a hazard. The more time it takes to report a hazard, the more time your eyes are not watching the road. Also, the most common hazard I see is a car stopped on the shoulder. I'd like a two-touch way of reporting this. If the report menu could be customizable to include a "quick report" option for the most common hazard a driver encounters, this would be a solution.

    You can long tap or swipe up the Report button to bring up the most common reports – saves a click. Also, consider voice reporting!

16. Open up Waze to developers so we get third party plugins!

    Would be amazing if Waze allowed other developers to integrate their software AND hardware to use with Waze.

    Escort radar has their own app where if you hold a button on their radar detector, it'd report it on their cloud to other Escort users that a police is spotted.

    However, having to have two apps loaded at a time makes it very difficult to catch alerts from both apps at the same time. Opening up an SDK or API on Waze and allowing other companies and developers to integrate with Waze would allow Waze to dominate the industry.

    With this feature, developers can create third party features such as:
    - Integration with Escort Live! Show radar threats and police reported by Escort
    - Integration with Torque App to warn when car is having engine problems.
    - Speed Limit overlay display from third party database
    - New custom marker location types on the map such as: 'special event', 'foreign embassy', 'bus stop', 'sun glare', etc.
    - Mileage Log, map / gps logger.

    Opening up Waze to developers would greatly reduce overhead on Waze developers, it can allow other apps to report threats, and is a really good idea. I hope it can be implemented. I know abuse can be problematic but that's why users would have to opt-in to plugins.

19. Bicycle navigation and bike routes for waze!!! Please!!

    Can you please add bicycle routes to the app and ways to avoid roads that go over a certain speed limit? The option to set your vehicle as a bicycle and find routes like that avoid high speed roads and roads that dont allow bikes conbined with all of the other great functions of the app will be fantastic...

    But since you don't have the feature so many bicyclists won't get to navigate with your app and get the same benefits that car drivers have... I really need a navigator for bikers that shows the speed limits of the roads and if they have biking lanes before you make the trip to plan your navigation.

    You should have the setting to make your vehile a bike and find bike routes, and to calculate how much time a trip will take you just have to ask the bicyclist to input their average biking speed and make your route estimates like that. Then through tracking their speed when you give them navigates your estimates can become even more accurate.

    It shouldn't just be for driving navigation but also for people who have to bike places and still need to find the fastest routes avoiding cops and traffic and all the other benefits that drivers have and bikers don't because the app can't calculate routes for us unless you please make an update taking my suggestions!!

20. Only speed limit. Not current speed

    I want to see my speed limit always with a big size. I don't wish to see my current speed. A car can show us our current speed.
    But Waze shows both only and speed limit which I need most is very small. Why do we need to see our current speed there? Could you pls arrange settings for it?
