1. Allow alerts without a route in CarPlay

   Allow alerts such as potholes, accidents, hazards, etc. in CarPlay the same way it works on the smartphone app version where it works without having to add a route.

2. Driver Safety Points: auto-reply to texts, speaker/bluetooth calls only, and speeding alerts.

   It would be great if, when you signed into Waze, you were prompted to click on Driver or Passenger. If you are the driver, Waze puts the phone into drive mode, and it either auto-replies to texts with one of five pre-set messages (set up in settings), or it becomes completely voice activated, so it reads your incoming text aloud and allows you to respond via voice only (also set in settings per driver preference). Also, it alerts you to who is calling and allows you to only answer it via either speakerphone or bluetooth (or disregard and it goes to voicemail). This would be an enormous safely benefit. Passenger mode allows the input of new addresses while driving and map chat. Another safety point: it would be great if Waze alerted drivers if they were going more than 5 miles over the speed limit (and have a way to disable or change the alert overage amount).

3. Watch App/Motorcycle

   Basic Navigation for watch, which would be especially useful on motorcycle. Screen only needs distance to turn and direction of turn. Haptic notice of upcoming turn would be nice as well, but not required. Do not need a map, do not need lots of information, should be a quick glance when safe to do so, if more information is needed, pull over and use the phone.

4. Abbility to report start & end of SPECS.

   SPECS cameras operate as sets of two or more cameras installed along a fixed route that can be from 200 metres (660 feet) to 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) in length.[3] They work by using an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system to record a vehicle's front number plate at each fixed camera site. As the distance is known between these sites, the average speed can be calculated by dividing this by the time taken to travel between two points.[4] The cameras use infrared photography, allowing them to operate both day and night.

5. Support event driven notitfications to zapier or ifttt

   It would be nice Waze could attach to other systems with events via for example zapier and/or ifttt. Events that I think of:

   Starts navigation to 'lat/lon' (bookmarkname)
   Arrives at destination
   Is in traffic
   Shares route
   Is 1 hours, half hour, 15 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes away from its destination

   Logs drive (from/to, starttime/endtime, distance traveled, (compressed) gpx attached.

   This way everybody could easily make rules like

   log {all} journeys to a google spreadsheet.

   Or share my drive easily on facebook, twitter, etc.

   Or, when I go {home} between {16:00} and {19:00} share that drive with {spouse}.

   Or, when destination is {volleybal} share drive with {team members}

6. Rettungsgasse / Rescue Lane - Reminder while traffic jams

   In Germany and most European countries, you are supposed to form a rescue lane whilst being in a traffic jam on a highway/Autobahn.
   This emergency corridor is always between the very left lane and the one next to her, so all cars need to move to the very left / very right on those lanes, making enough space to let emergency vehicles through.
   After several incidents where people died after emergency services being stuck in the traffic jam, the German government wants to increase the sentence on ppl not making space for the rescue lane.

   My Suggestion:
   In case of a traffic jam on highways or major federal roads with moving speeds under 20km/h an alert is given reminding the user to leave enough space for emergency vehicles coming through. And if there is a traffic accident / broken-down vehicle reported ahead, the alert should be pushier.

   Should be an easy dependence-informatics thing with all the data you have and it would be a great support for all the emergency workers out there, risking their lives to help people.

7. Restroom

   Allow us to alert waze that we need to stop for a restroom and have it display (while still en route) the next closest stops, how far they are, how far off the route. This would especially help when on a long stretch of highway where there is no hope in sight for a bathroom break.

   Waze allows for adding a stop on the route. By simply typing “Toilet” or “Restroom” in the search field you’ll get the needed results nearby.

8. Proximity Call

   Always when I am arriving at my destination, I make one call phone for a person wait for me from a particular distance or time. So, I'd like to suggest that Waze implement a Proximity Call that automatically does phone calls to a registered number in my contacts.

9. Add speed-based volume ramping

   When at highway speed Spotify/audio can be at full volume, when coming to a slowdown the audio will automatically decrease in volume.

   This can help drivers be more alert of their surroundings at intersections and when exiting highway traffic.

10. Improve carplay layout

    Alerts 500m before the event is to early in big cities with traffic. On the carplay when there is a alert the ETA does not appear. So in big cities with frequent alerts i never see ETA. My suggestion is change layout and keep ETA on the screen when alerts are on. Tks.

12. *NEW* hazard notification for roadkill

    Dear my WAZE PPL

    First, I want to thank waze for creating such an outstanding navigation tool that helps so many drivers stay informed and safe on the road. I truly appreciate how the app continuously evolves to meet the needs of its users.

    I’d like to suggest a potential improvement to the “Hazards” feature. While the current options, such as “Objects on Road,” are helpful, I believe there’s an opportunity to make the app even more informative and user-friendly by adding an alert specifically for roadkill or deceased animals on the road.

    In my area, it’s common to encounter wildlife-related hazards on the road, which can pose significant safety concerns, especially at night or in areas with limited visibility. A dedicated alert, such as “Animal Hazard” or “Animal on Road,” could help address this issue while maintaining respectful and inclusive terminology. This phrasing would cover both live animals and roadkill, ensuring clarity without being off-putting.

16. I received an update for Waze.

    I received a Waze update. Now Waze cuts out my music every time an alert occurs which requires me to reach over to my console to turn it back on. This happens every time an alert occurs. Please fix

18. Alerts based on Route

    Since Waze has the ability to track your trips I came up with this.

    Lets say you drive to work everyday. You know their are 5 Speed Cameras, 4 Construction Zones and 6 Potholes. Waze should automatically disable it's alerts if you are familiar with the Route.

    Lets say it disables it when Waze knows you have been on the same Route for at least a week.

    Now if for example later on in the future there is a new Construction, or SpeedCamera installed on the same route it alerts you since it's new.

    This would eliminate the need to be annoyed with the same alerts every day going to Work.

    Since Waze has the ability to track your trips I came up with this.

20. Bug fix: Dark Mode no longer activates on CarPlay

    Since the last update, Waze no longer activates Dark Mode on CarPlay. I see no other place to alert the developers of the issue.
