Being able to report an incident from anywhere
I would like the ability to report an incident from anywhere on the map. i.e. If I am driving down the road and I see an accident, but because I am driving, I am not able to report it at that moment. If I pull up to a red light, I would be able to zoom in on the map on the app and report it. I have tried to do this before, but, I just wound up reporting an accident of where I currently was instead of where I was zooming in on the map. I believe this is…

Vibrate Notifications
Give the user the option to turn-on "vibrate notifications" in addition to voice. Many times when driving I am distracted talking to a passenger or listening to the radio and miss a turn.
It would be great if my phone would also vibrate. I would like to have this option for police notifications as well.
If this were an option, then those that don't want vibrate notifications don't have to use it.9 votes -
Bring Back Apple Car Play Microphone
PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE restore the microphone for use with Apple Car Play!!! I rely on this to get directions while driving - as I am certain countless others do as well - and it is a huge inconvenience not having it anymore. I bet you to please restore it!!!!

Plan a drive when location is not valid
Waze is totally not usable when location is not available, this is now happening very often due to GPS spoofing/jamming. It would be nice to still use the app (ie: plan a drive, see the roads status etc)

Make map chats into a full messaging feature.
Map chats usually pop up and then disappear after a while, leaving no trace. I would like to be able to get back the chats I receive and respond to them later when I'm not driving. This would increase the 'socialness' of Waze and maybe even lead to making new friends on the road.

Stop navigation once you're "close enough" to the destination
Waze should have an option where it stops trying to re-route once you're close to the destination, especially when it is not possible to actually drive to the exact entry point for whatever reason.
Context:
I've got someone who has brought up routing issues to their destination a few times, and at least two or three local editors have made various changes. They now again have been saying that once they arrive, Waze wants them to exit the parking lot again, and make a huge detour just to return again to where they are already located.

Less than 20% battery dialogue box options
On Android less than 20% battery dialogue box says "Would you like to keep waze on?" With Yes and No buttons. However, when driving it's hard to read the question and often I end up turning off Waze cause I tapped "No". Since it's hard to read the question when driving, if dialogue buttons should said "keep on" or "turn off" instead of y/n, the decision is a lot faster.

Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night on a two-lane road, 65 mph during the day on a two-lane road, and a maximum of 70 mph for any road. I would like to be able to put this in settings, so that Waze can come up with a better route and ETA for me. Bring back PickUp requests
Bring back the option to send an SMS with a link to share the recivers location and make the Waze client navigate there..
This was a very cool feature and it's missed. It could be done Uper style where the receiver can edit their preferred pick up location
It should also auto share the drive with the receiver.

Ads too small to see while driving
Whenever I stop, an ad pops up on Waze. Of course I don’t want ads, but if you are going to do them make them much simpler and larger so the driver can read them. They are crowded with content and tiny which make them useless.

Route choice
Hello, would it be possible to add choices of route type, for example shortest or fastest. Cause now it's not clear how he tries to lead us and lately it seems it's not logical at all. For example, I was driving through Autobahn in night, where I can drive on 140km/h but waze taught it would be a great idea to change this route to a small forest road that has a 30 km/h speed limit with bumps on road.

Notifications - Moving modal and/or providing users with ability to "X" out of notifications
In Apple Carplay, Waze notifications pop up and push the directions modal into a small bar with no information except what kind of turn and how far away it is. It removes the worded directions and has made me miss my turn plenty of times. There is no option to "X" out of the notification, only answer "Still there" or "Not still there", but what if I haven't reached the area yet so I can't accurately answer the prompt but need to see my directions? As someone who drives with the sound off in Waze, I'm requesting to provide users…

Add address numbers when arrived
Need to add address (number and street) when on final street instead of saying "you have arrived at your destination". Uber and Lyft drivers use waze and need to know address. We look at mail boxes as we drive down the street. Sometimes the x is not in the same location as the address but we can't see the address.

"Friend Driving" Notification Should Be Adjustable Based On Distance
I don't need Waze to tell me that my friends in New York City or Miami are driving when I am in Toronto, Canada (unless, I guess, if they have set a route to come to Toronto). Waze should allow us to specify how far away a friend can be that it will notify us of the fact that they're driving.

Make Waze carpool work also for drivers who drive more than 100 kilometers.
First I thought this was a bug., but...
As it was clearly explained to me by Waze support, Waze carpool does not work for drivers who make long rides, and Waze has no intention of fixing it.
Waze carpool only match with passengers which have similar characteristics of the ride .
This is proven easily. The shorter the ride you plan, the more passengers you have, on the same route.

Waze needs to learn often travelled personal routes and offer alternates in advance for detours

Optimize route for ease of driving , safety
At present there is no account of how difficult a route is ie windy , how many intersections or how dangerous ie windy or heavy traffic.
The routes options do display shortest time and shortest distance.

Differentiate between toll roads and toll bridges
I drive solo in Seattle. I have three options into Seattle from the North: - I -405 (with a toll bridge - 525- across the lake) or 1-405 (with a non toll bridge - via 1-90) and then I-5 with no tolls at all.
Can we have an option for WAZ to differentiate between toll roads and toll bridges - this is because I can still drive the "regular" road on the 1-405 and then take the toll bridge (525) into Seattle, but I don't want WAZ to figure the time for the HOV/T lane...aaaaagh, does that make any sense?…
