Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night on a two-lane road, 65 mph during the day on a two-lane road, and a maximum of 70 mph for any road. I would like to be able to put this in settings, so that Waze can come up with a better route and ETA for me. “See your friends on the road — drive together, even when apart.”
Idea:
Add a new feature in Waze that lets users add friends and see each other’s live location directly on the Waze map — similar to Snapchat’s Snap Map or a GTA V online lobby.
How it works:
Users can add friends through usernames, phone numbers, or QR codes.
Once connected, you can see your friends’ cars moving live on the map while they’re driving with Waze.
You can tap a friend’s icon to get ETA to their location or message them (“on my way”, “meet here”, etc.).

Replace unintuitive “not there” button symbol
When people are driving, symbols need to be instantly recognizable. For example, most of the report icons on the initial report display meet that requirement.
But when driving and you come across something like a partner feed alert and the app wants more info, the “not there” icon option is a stylized… purple and red, what?.. gloved?.. thumbs down hand that doesn’t intuitively convey “NO” and does not match the style theme of the other app icons. Route choice
Hello, would it be possible to add choices of route type, for example shortest or fastest. Cause now it's not clear how he tries to lead us and lately it seems it's not logical at all. For example, I was driving through Autobahn in night, where I can drive on 140km/h but waze taught it would be a great idea to change this route to a small forest road that has a 30 km/h speed limit with bumps on road.

Notifications - Moving modal and/or providing users with ability to "X" out of notifications
In Apple Carplay, Waze notifications pop up and push the directions modal into a small bar with no information except what kind of turn and how far away it is. It removes the worded directions and has made me miss my turn plenty of times. There is no option to "X" out of the notification, only answer "Still there" or "Not still there", but what if I haven't reached the area yet so I can't accurately answer the prompt but need to see my directions? As someone who drives with the sound off in Waze, I'm requesting to provide users…

Proffesional route planning for driving instructors, examiners, support people.
The basic element of the practical driving test in Great Britain is independent driving for 15-20 minutes. Accurate route planning would be an excellent tool for training driving license candidates by professional instructors. Currently, no provider offers such a tool. If the company is interested, I can propose solutions. Anyone who suggests such a tool can count on increased interest in maps in every country with navigation in its examination system.

Notice Dialogs
Notices (car on side of road, etc.) that have a 'not there' or 'thanks' should allow tapping on either half of the whole dialog rather than just in the smaller buttons at the bottom of the dialog. It takes too much 'attention' to hit the button while driving.

Set voice command language equal to Waze interface language
Currently, Waze expects voice commands in the language of the country that I am in. It disregards that the phone language. (English in my case, therefore, waze interface is also in English). I am, however, in Portugal. Therefore Waze voice commands are expected in Portuguese.
Consider the new implementation on no roaming fees in Europe. When I drive to Spain, I am expected to speak Spanish. When I go to Croatia, I am expected to speak Croatian.
Solve this by setting the voice language to the language of the phone (or waze). Otherwise Waze voice commands are useless.

Hgv lorrys
I drive a hgv lorry and often satnavs and maps can lead you down a dodgy road with height width restrictions, weight limits. Could Waze have an option for hgv lorrys? Also including speed limits for hgv due to them being different from cars

Reduce taps required from search to navigation
Currently from the time I see an address for which I've searched to when I'm able to just drive and see the map and directions, there are FOUR TAPS in between those two things happening.
Tap 1 — Seeing the address as text in search results.
Tap 2 — Seeing the address as an official box in results.
Tap 3 — Seeing the address on a map with parking options
Tap 4 — Directions calculated, and clearing option to choose routes.When a person is starting to drive, that's quite frustrating.

Need A View Shared Drive Option While Using CarPlay
The green-ish “View Shared Drive” button that normally appears on the right side of the screen does not appear while connected to Apple CarPlay. Currently, the only way to view a drive that has been shared with you is to disconnect from CarPlay, which is very frustrating. I am on a road trip with family in which we are driving two separate vehicles, and it would be very useful to be able to view a shared drive on my CarPlay screen to see where the rest of the family is and what their ETA is.

Differentiate alternative routes from each other by color
If you display alternative routes while actively navigating/driving, they will all be displayed in the same color. It would be helpful to display each route in a different color for easy differentiation.

Unblock phone sleeping when idle or parking - to preserve battery
It happened to me several times and I find it very annoying.
When I park the car waiting for someone out if I leave phone in the car when I reach my destination and I forget to turn it off, Waze will prevent the screen from turning off and will drain out my battery quickly.
My suggestion is that I'd Waze detects that I'm parking or not driving for over a minute or so, it should automatically suspend the navigation activity and enable screen shutdown and sleep until user starts driving again.5 votes -
Notifications on screen that divert my attention while driving.
when I get started a black box pops up with drive ideas and while I'm driving it constantly pops up with useless info. I'm beginning to watch my screen more than the road now. Audio cues are the way to go, I don't need my screen calling my attention to a radio while I'm driving. I'm sure a lawyer would love to sue you based on this so at least give me a way to stop the messages on screen.

Common Route Change Alert.
We all have a weekday routine driving to work in the morning and back home in the evening. Most times we do not turn on Waze since the rout does not change. When there are traffic problems in that common route, I'd like to receive an alert from Waze informing me to switch on and follow a faster route automatically.

Being able to report an incident from anywhere
I would like the ability to report an incident from anywhere on the map. i.e. If I am driving down the road and I see an accident, but because I am driving, I am not able to report it at that moment. If I pull up to a red light, I would be able to zoom in on the map on the app and report it. Turn On/Off Avoid Freeways in CarPlay
Would like a way to toggle on/off avoid freeways in CarPlay. When driving locally many times I would prefer to avoid freeways even if technically they are a little closer/faster. It would be helpful to be able to do this on CarPlay rather than having to open the navigation settings on the phone.
