block off dangerous area in South Africa
Hi! I have been using your service for few years and absolutely love it but please could you add the feature to block the dangerous area in South Africa as well? I see that this feature is now available in Brazil and Israel but South Africa is known for it's dangerous areas and crimes and I have actually ended up in Alexandra(one of the most dangerous areas in SA) while using Waze and I absolutely freaked out.

Use special tiles for not downloaded areas
Let the waze client use a special tile for not downloaded areas. When on a slow connection you sometimes realise there's no road where you are, so you enable construction mode just to realise a minute later that the roads in the area just weren't finished downloading to your phone yet.

Please do not put pick-up points at no-parking area.
More than once, the app directed me to stop at a no parking area for pick up. This is crazy and confusing.
1 voteThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

screen area usage is very poor. Bulky information boxes, too generous black margins - not much left for the map itself

Add a warning alert for "danger area"
It would be very interesting to have an option button to add a warning alert for "danger zones", so users could share an alert about locations that are not safe to walk around.

Suggestion of inclusion of hazardous areas
Hello, I would like to suggest an inclusion of tagging by users or even by the developer of dangerous areas and if it is marked by the user, after a certain number of markings, that the area or street is marked for a longer period or permanently

I am in South Florida with no power and I haven't seen any utility trucks in my area.
I am in South Florida with no power and I haven't seen any utility trucks in my area. Since your app allows for reporting of roadside hazards could you add the feature of reporting where the utility trucks/workers are located. We don't have a lot of information on when to expect power and I understand that it doesn't mean power will be restored because they are in the area, it would be nice to know that they are closed

Directions to a campus or multi-facility area
If you get directions to a campus or multi-facility area, then Waze should ask you what building or parking lot you are interested in when you get close. For example, if I ask for directions to Montgomery College in Rockville, as a I get nearer Waze should ask if there is a particular building or parking lot I need directions to.

Subscribe to a stretch of roadway to obtain realtime notifications of any hazards within a geographic area
Certain professional individuals who drive the same road again and again could benefit from a feature where the user is able to subscribe to any new updates on a specific route or specified area, not just what is within map view for the user. As this would be a power user option, it should be able to be enabled in the configuration settings if a user wishes to use the feature. Notifications could come in via either the system notification tray, or via popups within the app. A total listing of what's entered and the thumbs status of each…

Add 'NO CELL SERVICE AHEAD'. Phase 2: Notify me @start. Phase 3:Give turn-by-turn directions, w mileage 4 the dead area.
Add 'NO CELL SERVICE AHEAD' to the list of events. If ppl keep confirming, leave it there indefinately. Methinks adding a new button just like a cop or accident shouldn't be all that difficult.
Twice lately, I've been very, very lost because I hit a dead area with no cell service.
Phase 2: Notify me @start of my trip. Phase 3:Give turn-by-turn directions, w mileage for the dead area.2 votes -

Add the ability to map parking lots and parking areas
The map should contain markings for parking lots and parking areas available in an area, so that upon arrival the client can request to show all available parking solutions within a specified radius.
5 votesGreat news! The feature of showing parking lots in the map is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

The tag for the area in Ohio on I75 is wrong
When I get an alert that there is a "danger" ahead (be it a police car or a stranded car on the side of the road) the label for the area is completely wrong on I75 in Ohio. For at least the past 6 months (if not longer) along Mile Markers 39.0 to 39.6 the label on WAZE has been calling it "Williamsburg". I've lived here over 50 years and have NEVER heard of a Williamsburg in Ohio. Just tonight, the police car that was at Mile Marker 39.6 is most closely associated with the Franklin/Springboro area and corresponding Exit.…

New area building does not be shown in Waze in UK
The Fford Williamson street is new one in Cardiff, UK. This area is new, when you type it on the app, you got nothing, but It has many buildings and flats and courts. It must be fixed as soon as possible

Reports block area of interest - perhaps have it float off with arrow pointing to location?
I love the reports but when the app floats to the AOI it's blocked so I'm not really sure where the report was made, sometimes it's very ambiguous and it names a street in the report. If the image of that report could float off leaving an arrow or something marking the area so we can see where on the map it is would be very helpful :)

Automatically group same kind of reports in a near area (few hundred meters) on the map
Currently if many people report Police at near area (few hundred meters) you will get many notifications to accept. This is distracting and it would be useful if notifications are grouped, so I can accept them all at once or reject for a near area.

I would love to have a transparent overlay letting me know what area or community I'm driving through.
I live in L.A. and it would certainly be nice to see a light-toned overlay telling me what area I am driving through (e.g. "Echo Park," "Silverlake," "Sparr Heights."

Traffic alerts/advisory should be limited to a geographic area of the waze user.
Today I received a traffic alert for Dunedin New Zealand. At the time I am in central Texas, USA. How do I limit my alerts to my geographic area?

How about adding an icon that allows us to mark known speed traps in our area even if we are not driving by at a particular moment? It could
How about adding an icon that allows us to mark known speed traps in our area even if we are not driving by at a particular moment? It could be a picture of a radar gun. Also, don't allow a single user to remove a police icon. It's too easy for the police to click "not there" themselves on a dummy account and it disappears.
