  1. Privacy zone: stop reporting *near* home/work‏

Having read the Waze ideology of location reporting at journey endpoints with respect to privacy I have deemed it wanting greatly.

Please consider a feature to allow one to create flexible (arbitrarily variable) zones around one's home, workplace, church, etc, where upon entering one's position is no longer publicly visible.

I am confident a variation of this will mitigate privacy journey endpoint concerns

  2. multiple destinations

    feature suggestion for Waze
subject: add feature to automatically sort multiple destinations by distance or direction.
    message: hello Waze team,
I'm a regular user of your amazing app and I'd like to suggest a feature that could be extremely helpful for many users-especially delivery drivers 'couriers or anyone with multiple stops in their day.
feature request: please consider adding a feature that allows users to-enter multiple destinations at once (multi stop routing).automatically sort them either: by distance from the current location (closest to farthest) or in a specific direction (from south to north) .
generate a smart route that takes…

  3. Please provide an option to turn off the "car stopped on shoulder" warning.

This is the most common warning yet doing nothing more than distracting. People stop on shoulders for few minutes all the time so why do I need to care unless I am planning to drive on the shoulder?? Turning off road hazards does not help.

  4. Allow Waze to resume my route after I stop.

When I stop along my route, Waze doesn't resume my route when I get back in the car. I have to re-program the route. This will force me to return to Google Maps as my travel app when I'd prefer to use Waze.

  5. traffic lights and stop signs

I request this idea a lot but it seems like no one listens and Waze team completely ignores it. We need stop signs and traffic lights on the map. All navigations in the market already has it expect only Waze, I don't know why they don't want do it or difficult to them to do it! I can't understand, these things its really very important for the drivers.

  6. Stop routing traffic down quiet residential streets

Your app has a very narrow focus. It doesn't take the actual street or the people that live on it into consideration. I have lived on a very quiet residential street until your app has increased in popularity. Thanks to your app, our street is now like a mini-highway and two neighbor pets have recently been killed. Additionally, your ignorant app doesn't take into consideration that it is directing traffic to take a very dangerous left turn onto Briarcliff Road. The results have been numerous accidents. Please take Stephens Drive, 30329 off your cut throughs at once.

  7. Avoid Following a School Bus

It is always painful for drivers to catch and then follow a school bus for all its stops. Especially in cities, where it can result into big traffic jams. Can Waze partner with the school districts to provide live GPS data of school buses? It will be very beneficial if Waze can alert drivers about a school bus on their route, and give them an option to detour. This will save lots of time for drivers, and make it safer for the school buses because of less traffic.

  8. Stop using the word "Accident" completely.

Crashes are not accidents. The NHTSA has stopped using the word accident in all communications. So have many state highway patrols, and local police. So has the medical profession. Please stop using "accident" on Waze, and instead use crash or collision. Accidents are quite rare, and the word is far to subjective to be using like this.

  9. Favoriting places of interest on road trips

We travel east of the Mississippi almost year round for my daughters travel softball tourneys. While making these trips it would be nice to know if there are any of our favorite quick stops (gas, food) like WAWA Sheetz, Bucees. Also restaurants, gas stations, hotels, golf courses etc.

Please create an option where we can favorite 3-5 of our places and the icon will appear on the map while driving down the highway.

    Thank you

  10. Be able to find any address as before

Go back to the old navigation where you can put in any address and it would calculate the entire trip. How would you determine what middle stops to use on a route that won't take you out of your way. It worked fine before this update.

  11. New Report Conditions that are South Africa specific

With load shedding the robots (traffic lights) are turned off. This can be a huge hazard at night because you might run through an intersection without realising it. The option to report robots being out (power off, lights out etc) would be a great addition.

Another common issue is beggers who stand in the middle of the road. Once again, in the dark they can be very hard to see.

Another suggest might be taxi stops. In South Africa mini Taxi Busses tend to stop where ever they like. This can at times create an official bus stops.…

  12. Keep Spotify pause button when approaching destination

In the current integration between Waze and Spotify, when you get close to your destination (about .3 miles away), Waze closes the Spotify integration at the top and replaces it with information about your destination. This keeps your music playing. As someone who makes frequent stops late at night to different houses (pizza delivery), I like to turn off my music temporarily while I focus on looking for house numbers. I currently have to swipe up and pause Spotify from my Iphone quick settings menu.

It would be much appreciated if you could keep even just the pause music button…

  13. Motorcycle-Friendly Long Trip Rest Recommendations

On long trips using motorcycle navigation mode, Waze should recommend rest stops every 1 hour or 120 km (whichever comes first). These stops could include nearby gas stations, rest areas, scenic points, or safe parking spots, helping riders stay alert, hydrated, and safe.

    Why This Feature Matters

Safety First: Long rides on a motorcycle are physically demanding. Fatigue increases the risk of accidents. Timely rest breaks help reduce this danger.

Health & Comfort: Regular stops reduce back strain, dehydration, and numbness. It promotes better focus for the rest of the ride.

Route Planning: Knowing where to stop in advance, especially

  14. Recognise when I’m behind a very slow moving vehicle and offer a New route around this vehicle

I suggest adding a feature that detects when I'm driving much slower than the speed limit on a road. The app could then ask if I'm in heavy traffic or behind a very slow-moving vehicle. If it's the latter, like being stuck behind a garbage truck making frequent stops, the app could suggest alternative routes to bypass the slow vehicle and reach my destination faster.

  15. Add > Hazard > On road > Vehicle Stopped/Broken down

There are numerous times when one comes across a broken down or stalled vehicle in the road, and you end up reporting it as "Other" or even report it as "On Shoulder" which is inaccurate.

  16. Stop users reporting heavy traffic when at traffic lights

In major cities there is always going to be to be a few cars stacked up at traffic lights. Stop dumb Waze users reporting heavy traffic when they are stopped at traffic lights. It affects the routing of other Waze users. Almost every day I see reports of heavy traffic where there is none just because some moron is reporting heavy traffic when they are sitting behind 2 others cars at traffic lights.

  17. STOP signals

Please consider showing STOP signals when possible. An optional sound alert would be a plus. It will be an extra of confort for a safer trip.

  18. "Stop running in the background" switch on iOS

Hi. I found that Waze continues to run and use GPS and 3G signal while backgrounded on the iPhone. This is catastrophic in our country for two reasons: 1. It keeps the phone very hot. 2. it uses data at about 0.15 USD/MB, thereby ticking down your data and using up your money. You have to explicitly turn it off or explicitly quit the app. There should be a switch that says, and is by default, set to "Do not run or use data or GPS in the background". My experience: I used Waze to get to a destination. I…

  19. Stop automatically rerouting to Waze's preferred route

Your selected route should be "sticky" or require permission to change.

Waze is great, we all know that. But there is one issue that is almost service-breaking. When I select an alternate route, as opposed to waze's preferred route, if I make one minor change (such as backing out to the left when Waze expected me to go right), Waze will put me back on its preferred route.

This happens every time. More than once Waze has rerouted me onto the Interstate in rush hour even though I had explicitly chose a different route 10 seconds earlier. There is no…

  20. Route editing

    Dear Waze
I was a new user and since we live in the countryside, had not needed your app before today. But after trying for a while, (on your South African App), I simply could not design a travel route for my husband which included stops/petrolpoints.

You CAN write this off as an "ignorant new user", or you could listen to my problem.

I REALLY wanted to use your app and even downloaded it for my husband, but I simply could not figure out how to add stops to his route??? Eventually, I designed the route on Google Maps…
