As a software engineer working for circuit maps, i would like to say please create a feature where the 'what do you see?' has more options for us which is profile based and we can put our own markers as gmaps allows personal markers with different icons and allows saving different locations in personalised list with personal icon. we can keep that as pvt or public. Mainly i want to use this as speed camera and my own markers in the map so whenever waze doesn't update new cameras or wherever in one spot i have got fine i can mark that spot for me to avoid in future. This is much need for personal markings. If they can create personal markings section then would be best. A dedicated personal markers section would improve navigation and safety for individual users while keeping sharing optional. This way, it would make waze easy to update cameras cause waze is missing allot of cameras on the way but if people start marking it in their own profile as private or public then the private ones can be used as their own markers which will allow them to mark if like they had got fine previously at that same spot then they can mark that and would help them to avoid in the future plus the public marking would work as suggested camera spots which now waze needs to review for approval to avoid clutters in the display but if many people put camera in that spot publicly then it would be easier for them to review as well. This way it would be easy for waze to update hidden cameras in the map if not people can privately put their own alerts and markings. Plus the markings and alerts should also work with sound alerts like if i put marking as speed camera privately as well then it should alert me next time i go thru that way same as now.
