  1. speed camera alert closer to the speed camera

the alert is happening 400m from the camera, sometimes there is an intersection before the camera that you may stop at and by the time you get going again you may of forgotten about the camera. listening to the news or music may distract from the warning, when you finally get that 400m down the road. a second alert 50m from the camera, speeding or not, would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Haptic alert

    Hi

I want all speed alerts to be vibrational - via Apple Watch. I need the feature to be active all the time, so when I run out door and jump in car I know I will be alerted every time I exceed a speed limit. I need the vibration to continue until speed is back within limit.

This is essential for a motorcycle rider and I think best option for car driver also, you can be looking at phone or expecting to hear a ph in noisey environment, let alone feel a vib from phone in a…

  4. Larger fonts in black bar and for time and distance on bottom.

Waze should not require squinting and be VERY fast to scan. The real estate on the black top bar is underused and tiny time-distance fonts at the bottom are poor HID. Top bar should be more efficiently used or smaller (the result would be similar).

  5. Alert Details

when you scroll around the map, you can touch an alert, and it will tell you how far away it is, and you could see any comments left by other Wazers

  8. Say what alert is for

When there is a pothole, accident or some other alert, these days we just hear a ding. It does not say what the alert is for, you have to look at the screen to see. Rather say "Pothole ahead" etc. The ding sound is the exact same sound my car makes for low fuel. It is extremely annoying to hear the ding every now and again. It also dims the radio/music for a while. Pleas rather just say what the alert is for using your words.

  9. Kids in the car alert

Kids in the car alert so we stop hearing sad stories!
Add the option for parents to add this info to their account, maybe even to add their children's names. and upon arrival to destination, make the waze voice say something like: dont forget kids in the car, or dont forget sara in the car....
Same way you make the sound at the beginning of the drive to remind to turn on the lights .
Maybe even make a pop up alert that you can only close by pressing ok.....

  10. NHVR alert

The national heavy vehicle regulator (NHVR) is Australia's independent regulator for heavy vehicles (over 4.5 tonnes) and is responsible for enforcing the Heavy Vehicle National Law. In other words they are an absolute pain in the ****. NHVR can set up on weigh bridges and/or “pads” and float around rural towns pulling over anyone they please.
At the moment the only way of knowing NHVR are around or set up is through communicating with other truckies on the rd or Facebook pages.
I know there is already an alert on Waze for police but I believe having an alert separately…

  11. Count TURNS, not distance to the next turn

when people give directions to each other, naturally they will say 'on the 2nd turn, take a right turn'.
We are better at counting turns, than meters or miles...
if Waze could do the same, instead of 'in 500m turn right', it would be great

  12. Crosswalk Alert (Visual + Optional Voice)

Marked pedestrian crosswalks are among the highest-risk points where vehicles and pedestrians interact, especially at night, during poor weather, or in areas with weak lighting.

Introducing a Crosswalk Alert — a small on-screen icon with an optional short voice cue such as “Pedestrian crossing ahead” — would provide drivers with earlier situational awareness without affecting routing. Activated only on verified crosswalks, this alert would function similarly to existing permanent notifications such as speed bump warnings, hazard alerts, camera notifications, and other fixed safety cues.

Such an alert would reduce reaction-time delays, improve driver readiness in limited-visibility areas, and help…

  13. Flash screen or show some form of Visual alert (Maybe flash the screen white and black 3 times?), when you have audio alerts muted

Flash screen or show some form of Visual alert (Maybe flash the screen white and black 3 times?) that would catch the drivers eye, when you have audio alerts muted? I mute mine as it causes my music to go quiet when an alert happens. (Apple CarePlay). A distinctive total screen flash might catch my peripheral vision, "Police ahead".

  14. Indicate the distance just below the arrow of the direction change

When a direction change is indicated, the distance should be placed just below the arrow, and not on the left side of the screen

  15. Change the "In 0.1 mile, turn/exit..." alert

This not only gets annoying, but the redundancy of it can lessen its urgency--Change this to "Prepare to turn/exit" as a better audible alert that a turn or exit is imminent.

  16. Include NEW ALERT for the type of camera radar

Include NEW ALERT for the type of camera radar:
In Spain on the A2 - KM8 (Madrid) direction Barcelona there is a camera radar, which is fine if you speak on the phone or if you play gps.

  17. Alert of low sun

Especially is early spring and the after year, low sun is frequent, blinding you and preventing you from having a clear view of the road or being able to properly assess what is happening in front of you on the road. Therefore in my idea to add a Los Sun alert to the alerts so that you are prepared for the low sun

  18. Alert to turn always lights on on motorcycles

In portugal it's mandatory motorcycles always ride with the lights on.
Like in cars we have an alert to turn on the lights in tunels, when we are riding, the GPS remember to turn on the lights and never alert In tunels (because the lights are already on)

  19. Verbal “Animal Alert” & Animal Icon replaced in app

Requesting update to app: 50 mile commute to & from work. High potential for animal / wildlife encounters & add a loss of connection for approx 5 miles during the trip. Would like an “Animal” icon to be placed back into the app & a verbal “Animal Alert” be announced the same way that construction, crashes, hazards & police, do so now. Not everybody lives and / or works in the city & those are two different types of driving styles for a commute. It would be nice to be alerted ahead of time, if I’m entering an…
