Enhance the "Prevent Auto-Lock" setting
Enhance the "Prevent Auto-Lock" setting, so that you can have one setting for when it is plugged in and charging and another setting when not charging.
This will allow for the option to let the phone to go into standby, if the phone is left on after turning the car off.

Lockscreen Route View
After using the new maps on iOS 6 I could only come up with a little amount of good new features the maps app has. The most helpful one is that the route you are following is displayed on our lock screen, so you can lock your cellphone to avoid people to use your phone while using the gps to get to a please, and also to save some battery. Option to close waze without confirming or double tapping screen
I use waze on every drive, due to this my phone is always logged in when driving (use a pin to access). While sitting in traffic one evening 2 robbers forced my window down, unlocked my car, opened the door and grabbed my phone. I would appreciate if an option could be added to close waze without confirming or by double tapping the screen in order for a phone to lock itself asap so that it can't be used or accessed. I have been using wave for a long time and the truth is that I am delighted, I really like it. I would like to make a suggestion to you, can you attenuate or at least give the option to modify the screen configuration of the icons that remain fixed? Make the option Google has and show the direction at top bar even screen is locked so I save battery and not looking at screen with lines I don't need

Who is the JERK that took away the Prevent auto-lock option???
I just switched phones (Note 3 to a Note 9). Incoming calls now take over Waze screen, which may or may not come back after call. WTF??? Why has the Prevent auto-lock functionality been removed???

Dim the Screen to Stop Screen Burn In
Waze is great but it loves to burn images of the buttons into my phone screen. A dimming option when not in use would save battery and stop this burning problem.

The Report button was designed to be noticed while blending in and it’s important to keep it as is.
However, we will revisit this idea when working on Dark mode, in the future. Furthermore, since this is a physical issue that OLED phones suffer from in different apps, we recommend to use Battery Saver mode to allow your display some rest from bright colors that might lead to this dysfunction.

Android Auto Split Screen Support
In Android Auto full screen mode and using 2 apps for example Waze and YouTube Music, if you select music on the main screen (left) then the split screen (right) just shows Date/Time. Expecting Waze map to show in the split screen.
That's how it works with Google Maps. It shows up in the split screen if another app is in the main screen. Why can't it be same with Waze?

keep screen on
on the Iphone version, when i had the app active, it kept the screen on. with the latest version it doesn't do it any more. it makes it harder to report something when you have to unlock your phone to access it. Also i had it sitting up so i could see the screen and now it locks and if i need to see where to turn, i have to unlock the phone.

Waze landscapes and portrait display should have a feature to lock them
Operate Waze that link to a 7' display on a car with the display of switching landscape and portrait is really in convenient. Waze should have a feature to lock the display landscape and portrait

Auto turn screen on/off
When driving by directions, it would be great if Waze could turn off the screen when there is more than a specified distance to the next turn, and turn the screen on again when I'm within the specified distance.
We should have the option to set the specified distance to 500m, 1km, 2km, 5km and 10km.
It would also be nice to have an option to set the screen to turn on for 30 seconds or so if a report within our event radio comes in.

Elevation on map screen
Add elevation to the main screen, perhaps as an option like having the speedometer.
Not sure if it is possible, but I assume it is, as my old Garmin gps could do it.

Move compass lock icon when in Landscape mode
The compass lock icon is hidden behind the contacts icon when the phone is on its side. Please adjust where these icons are located so that I can lock/unlock North!

Full screen view
My Waze and search fields take almost half of the screen space in landscape mode. This is getting out of hand. Add an option to hide them when I drive without navigation please.

Option to Remove CarPool Guy from main screen
Option to remove carpool guy from main screen on the Waze app. I don't car pool so I don't need the carpool icon on my screen at all times.

New "Recent Locations" Screen
New feature with "Recent Locations" is of no value to me. The recent locations were already on your landing screen. There was no need to create this extra navigation step. I now have to take the extra step of navigating away from it and go to the old screen to type in an address. The extra step is time consuming as I use the app quite a bit, slows my day. Less is more folks, this is 2021, simple and quick was working well. Would be great if you can add an option to revert back to the old…
