Commercial routing
Commercial Route option; helps avoid roads and highways that either limit by weight or commercial vehicles in general.
I utilize a commercial vehicle mainly by label in Connecticut and they restrict routes for these vehicles. Waze doesn’t know that and impossible to navigate around

Truck drivers distort the measured speeds. If they were treated separately, WAZE would be much more accurate.
It may be that there's no interest in optimizing the app for vehicles over 3.5 tons, such as motorhomes, trucks, buses, and the like, but drivers of precisely these vehicles still use Waze because Waze is simply one of the best navigation apps. However, these typically much slower vehicles distort the average speeds of users determined by Waze, so it would certainly make the app much more accurate if users could enter their vehicle data, such as weight and size, so that the data can be assigned accordingly when collecting the returned data. In return, truck drivers would then benefit…

Hgv mode
I am new to the HGV industry and like many of us it costs a lot to own a satnav. Many of us use Waze and have done for many years it would be good to incorporate a HGV function mode into the app where you can create a profile and have HGV mode and this can help drivers going out buying satnavs and making the Waze app more effective for overall as it can be limited to just cars. HGV’s need to know height restrictions width restrictions and weight limits of roads but this would be a great added…

Road restrictions
Entering this idea as the previous "Road width restrictions" idea is closed for votes as implemented, even though it is not. Probably why its been omitted for several years.
Have waze allow map editors to include road restrictions, including width, height, weight, vehicle type, time based and temporary.
Allow users to include vehicle specifics in their route options.
The existing implementation uses the vehicle registration, but that only works in some countries and not the UK which has a lot of such restrictions.
Other routing apps have these features.

Love Waze App! My improvement suggestion is to add functionality for Class A Motorhomes
We have a 45’ Class A RV with a flat-towed Bronco. Would love the ability to route with Waze travel. Because of weight, 13.5’ height and length, there are routes that Waze might map that are unfit for our RV. Therefore we are limited to use of RV/truck GPS services.
Please consider adding RV-type avoidance options.1 vote -
We need a Local Resident Tag for people's profiles with a form of Verification required to confirm this.
So, my suggestion is that we should have a "Local Resident" Tag placed on our profile for the region/area that we are in. You can verify this using Postcards with a Verification Code on them (that's how Nextdoor does it). I just feel like if we locals know something for 12 years and then confirm it from the owners, then it should be taken with a heavier weight than a grain of salt from a newbie. That's my honest opinion.

Firefighters
As a firefighter we use your app to help guide drivers into jobs as Waze is very reliable, but we have to be aware of height restrictions, weight and width restrictions. Is there any way you could add these restrictions into the app under an emergency service/ blue light type setting? Maybe adding a code that you have to apply for to unlock the feature providing proof that you work for a fire and rescue service so it doesn’t get used commercially?

Driving with speed limitation, caravans for example.
Dear Waze Team,
First of all, thank you for an outstanding app that continues to improve travel experiences worldwide. I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly benefit drivers who tow caravans or trailers – or who, for any reason, are legally required to drive at lower speeds than regular traffic.
Currently, Waze assumes standard vehicle behavior and speed limits. However, in many countries (such as across Europe), towing a trailer legally restricts drivers to lower speeds – often 80 km/h on highways, regardless of the posted limit. This discrepancy affects both estimated time of arrival (ETA) and route…

3 differents driver profil
Today, the user profile is not taking into account by the algorithm. I hope in the future Waze will propose, not only the fatest road, but the road adapted to the user.
…
We will use for example 3 different profiles :
- the busy driver : this will always proposes the fastest road but it will add more weights to highway where overtaking car is possible
- the thrifty driver : always proposing the road with the cheapest path (combination of distance, height difference, ...)
- the tourist driver: this will propose road with points of interest (monuments, landscape).17 votes -
TOWNS should be able to submit DO NOT USE THIS ROAD on certain roads
Towns should have a way of reporting problems with rerouting. In the case of many small towns intersecting two major highways, not all roads are appropriate for heavy traffic.
Towns should have a way to “prevent through traffic” on Waze, since Waze users totally blow off “no thru traffic” signs!
For example, small towns still using one lane bridges need to be able to prevent over use and over-weight; afternoon traffic blocking residential roads just because someone is trying to bypass an on-ramp; especially tricks using small town roads not equipped for big trucks and curbs, lawns, and…

Use proper German in German app
I've downloaded the app in German and the linguistic mistakes start already in the Google Play store. Every screenshot has at least one mistake. When starting the app one gets the option to select the language: there too a mistake (instead of Deutsch = German it says Deutsche = German woman. Obviously I don't want to travel at that moment to any German woman suggested by Waze). Then I get the option to select dark or light mode. Again a mistake: instead of - h e l l - for light (colour) I can choose licht (light weight/thin). I…

Moving map position
A suggestion for the moving map display: would be nice to have the position of your own icon weighted towards the edge of the map where you have been. This would show more of the route you are yet to travel.

Optimization Proposal for Waze – Integration of Support for Buses and Trucks
To enhance user experience and expand the app’s target audience, it is recommended to add dedicated support for heavy and public vehicles such as buses and trucks. This feature would include the following components:
Customized Driver Profiles – An option to select the type of vehicle: truck, bus, private car, motorcycle, etc.
Tailored Route Planning – Routes would consider height and weight restrictions, specific traffic signs (e.g., "No entry for trucks"), and restricted access zones.
Integration of Dedicated Lanes – For buses: display of bus-only lanes (such as BRT or HOV lanes) and incorporate their availability into route planning.
Customized…

Improve Waze for all (professional drivers like taxi drivers, truck drivers and bus drivers as well)
Feedback for Waze Improvements (Australia-specific but globally relevant):
1. Map and Speed Limit Accuracy
• Please update maps and speed limit data more frequently, especially in Australia where road rules and limits are often updated.
• Ensure that the speedometer always shows the correct speed limit without disappearing or failing, as this can mislead drivers and cause unintentional speeding.
• Improve reliability so the speedometer never stops working unexpectedly.
2. Audible Alerts and Driver Focus
• Introduce louder and clearer spoken alerts for every speed limit change, so drivers do not have to look at their phone screen.

A couple of suggestions
Hello,
Recently, the application has been frequently unresponsive to touches. This is not a phone error.
It would be helpful if a long press could be used to select a segment on the route that I do not want to take, so that the application can calculate an alternate route. It would also be great if I could create a blacklist of segments that I don't want/can't drive on.
Why can't buildings be displayed on the map for better orientation, or at least their numbers, even if only within, say, 200m of the destination?
It would also be great if…

Body mass index and cardiorespiratory fitness in MSers: Yes, it matters
Sebastião E, Motl RW.
Abstract
OBJECTIVE:
This study examined body fatness and its association with cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) in persons with multiple sclerosis (pwMS) accounting for disability status.
MATERIALS AND METHODS:
This study involved a secondary data analysis from a previous study of 62 pwMS. Body fatness was indirect measured as body mass index (BMI), and CRF was measured as peak oxygen consumption from an incremental exercise test with spirometry. Participants were allocated into 3 different groups based on established BMI categories (ie, normal, overweight, and obese), and data were analyzed using SPSS.
RESULTS:
The average BMI was…

Contextual road navigation elements
Waze (so far) does not fully account for overall road context in navigation. We've (ie. my partner and I) have found it treating all roads equally when picking a route, whether urban, rural, wide, narrow, usually parrtially blocked by parked cars, etc. So, I suggest adding a set of options to the system and the navigation algorithm which allows weighting by road type. This could be selected or deselected manually by the user, with some default setting sets (ie. "Prefer Highways", "The Scenic Route", etc).
Based on roads we've used, we suggest the following classifications:

Fast-moving multi-lane road…1 vote
