Notifications when screen off, like Google Maps
Google Maps has a very practical feature for travelers who frequently use the same route over and over: Turn your phone screen off, and you'll be notified whenever turns are coming up. If you know the route, maybe it's a long one and you just want to be reminded not to miss turns, it's really useful to have these notifications.
In Google Maps, this notification feature extends really well onto Pebble watches, so your wrist gets a gentle vibration for each upcoming turn while the phone screen is off.
Could Waze please raise turn notifications when the screen is off?

Double Screen mode
Waze does not allow double screen mode. It would be very simple and usefull !
Phone screens are getting bigger and you can even have a tablet in your car now. Double screen mode would allow users to use waze while having an eye on another app such as music, car parameters (dashcommand for example) or whatever they want !5 votes -

Lock the chosen route
When i choose a route, I want the option to just follow that without change! Sometimes waze changes the route because of allegedly less traffic route, but the reroute takes me longer & farther! Sometimes I just want to stick with the original route! Give us this choice!

put music controls on the waze screen so I can forward, back, pause and play my music whilst watching the waze screen
Please can you put music controls onto the main screen. I listen to my smartphone music in my car and it would be great to be able to fast forward, rewind, paus and play tracks whilst keeping the waze screen visible. Thanks.

Burn in Screen
I am using Waze everyday in my car however; recently I have noted that the waze interface is causing my AMOLED screen to show a shadow screen of waze even while I am in other apps. I was wondering if the waze display screen items location can be changed randomly on an occasional basis to avoid such issues on the phone screens. I informed some of my friends and they found same issue on their phone so we are forced to reduce usage of this app as much as possible to avoid severe damages to our displays. Thanks for…

The Report button was designed to be noticed while blending in and it’s important to keep it as is.
However, we will revisit this idea when working on Dark mode, in the future. Furthermore, since this is a physical issue that OLED phones suffer from in different apps, we recommend to use Battery Saver mode to allow your display some rest from bright colors that might lead to this dysfunction.

horizontal screen error
Hello, I usually have waze on the screen without setting the route, but in the latest versions if you use it in horizontal mode the search bar is not hidden, and it occupies a quarter of the screen, before with a double tap on the screen if it was hidden, please re-implement this option.

Now that Apple has allowed developers access to developing/modifying their apps to use in CarPlay's split screen view, will we see such a feature soon? This is the main feature I have been waiting for.

iPhone Waze standby screen puts a security problem
When navigating, Waze screen stays in standby, so you can see the map all along the journey. Good!!
BUT it cancels iPhone locked screen. If someone takes my iPhone, he can accesss everything.
How come no one has ever noticed that???
That is quite critical!!!!

Waze on my car screen
GM now allows Google maps and several other APPs to be projected on my car screen from either an iphone or an android phone. Would be a great addition if we could get the WAZE APP to come up. I would happily toss the google map.

Waze map on cluster screen (behind steering wheel) on Android Automotive cars
Electric vehicles powered by Android Automotive from brands like Renault, Volvo or Polestar have the Waze app ready.
However, the application only works in the main infotainment screen and does not replicate the maps in the cluster screen like Google Maps does.
This is a big miss in order to use Waze instead of Google Maps, since it is very practical to see the map behind the steering wheel.
We hope in a near future you can have access to cluster screen and replicate the Waze maps there.

See Routes Map view on iPhone screen while connected to CarPlay
So far there is only option to see Routes List view on iPhone screen while connected to CarPlay.

keep directions on the screen
Using Waze is for directions of not knowing where to go so I think you need to go back to the small alerts on the screen instead of taking up the directions spot and having them disappear. It’s very frustrating trying to find your way through a city you’ve never driven in before when the directions keep disappearing to alert you that there’s a car on the side of the road.

Screen space landscape
The landscape view of the map has too many things on screen. The black navigation pane covers the speed limit and the speed camera alert also covers most of the screen. I am using larger font sizing as my eyes aren't great and the scaling makes this situation even worse.
Can the screen space be arranged so items don't cover each other in landscape.
Maybe a new set of icons/thin banner on the "side" instead of going along the whole "bottom" of the screen when in landscape.
Also Samsung phone has polarised screen to help viewing in sunlight…

Disable split screen
Please add the ability to disable split screen view entirely. On my Mazda with knob controls it is a pain to deal with and sluggish and I have to go through it every time I want to go back to the app selection screen (home screen). One button press should take me home, not expand a second media screen
