Separate "Show compass" from "Always show map controls"
It is 2024-04-03 now. Some time ago the "Show compass" option disappeared from "Settings" / "Map display" / "Quick access". Now the compass is shown on the map only when "Always show map controls" is enabled. The old behavior was better. The new behavior adds unnecessary clutter.
My goal is to see an information. I have no intention on controlling the map while driving, so map controls are useless for me.
Please restore old behavior.

I can thear what Waze is saying through my radio at the moment if I have music playing via android auto & black player1 vote -
Have music apps not freeze while using Waze. "Please know that music apps are not supported in Android Auto when using Waze". How dumb.

BUG ISSUE - Music Stutters when app is in the background
After updating my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 18, when I play music through either Spotify or Apple Music while using the Waze app in the car, I've noticed that the music stutters for about 1-2 seconds in the following scenarios:
- Entering the Control Center
- Entering the Notification Center
- Exiting the Waze app while directions are still running in the background
- Tapping on the Dynamic Island
This stuttering issue was not present before the iOS 18 update, and I've found that Google Maps does not exhibit this problem.

Keep the audio controls from disappearing when ads pop-down
It would be great if the audio controls didn't disappear during the pop-down ads and such that appear...once they disappear, the audio controls have to be re-activated. This is a nuisance on long drives.

Please can you allow integration to move around the icons for Music and Speedo on the map
Be able to move the speedo around. I understand this varys on left or right hand drive options. But just being able to move it around will be great. The music for spotify/apple music would be great too

The voice navigation is extremely loud... definitely need the ability to balance it with my music.

Ability to add on-device music players to the icon on the map screen
You currently only have the option to add subscription-type audio apps to Waze audio icon (Spotify, Amazon Music, etc).
Would like the ability to add normal apps to this icon too ... eg Musicolet, etc or even direct Bluetooth music playing.
Not everyone uses a subscription service to listen to music on device

use waze with Pioneer avh2330nex. I can get Waze notifications when my iphone music is on BUT no visuals (maps) on Pioneer radio screen
Waze. Please update your software so that I can display the Waze on the screen while streaming music. If I display Waze on the stereo screen I cannot stream music at the same time. I can however stream music and get vocal Waze notifications that interrupts the music playing. Better than nothing.
Waze, please improve your app to allow displaying Waze on the screen and play music at the same time. I know Waze knows how.

I want waze to pause music or podcast and not talk over it like it used to. Why did they not keep that option?
Before the latest update when waze spoke and you're listening to music or a podcast, it would pause the music and then speak. Now that is no an option. Now it talks over the music. Very annoying. Please bring back that option. Thanks.

Streamlined Spotify Integration
I love the new Spotify integration, so thanks greatly for that.
As much as I love it, it can get in the way a bit as having it open all the time consumes half the screen. (although it closes after notifications which is annoying)I'm sure I'm not the only one who has their phone linked to the car stereo via bluetooth. In this case I can change tracks via the stereo and therefore negates the need for the Waze music controls.
It would be amazing if in the Waze Spotify settings there was a streamlined option that simply…

Spotify voice commands
It's very dangerous that someone has access to Spotify when driving with Waze but can't use voice commands to interact with it. By not implemening voice command compatibility with Spotify, Waze makes it dangerous for drivers to control their music. Compare that to Android auto, which does let you use voice commands to control your music.

Section Control
In a lot of European countries you have speed-control via section-control, means:
the avgerage speed is measured of a certain distance by taking picture of car when entering and leaving the measuring section.
Unfortunatly currently you can not warn other users of such controls.
On contrary, such controls are only posted as stationary speed-control when entering, which is very misleading5 votes
