Section Control
In a lot of European countries you have speed-control via section-control, means:
the avgerage speed is measured of a certain distance by taking picture of car when entering and leaving the measuring section.
Unfortunatly currently you can not warn other users of such controls.
On contrary, such controls are only posted as stationary speed-control when entering, which is very misleading5 votes -

Horizontal app use: Show speed while music player is open
When app is being used horizontally & the music player is open, the "speed/speed limit" feature isn't visible. Would love to have an option to move it somewhere else or make the music player a bit smaller which would prevent having to open & close it as often just to check speed info. And on that note, the arrow to close the media player could be a tad bigger so that it requires less accuracy, reducing time with eyes off the road. Love this app though!

Please add recognition for Samsung music! I want to listen to music already on my device not pay for a subscription service.
When I look at available apps Samsung music isn't there! Everything available is some kind of streaming subscription service that I don't want to pay for! Give us the ability to listen to what's already on our devices please!!

Setting that controls Shut down prompt appearance
Add a setting that controls Shutdown confirmation prompt “Do you want to shutdown Waze?” with options:
• Always ask
• Do not show
• Do not show when sharing dataThe default value would be Always ask as it is now but the option Do not show when sharing data would minimize clicks when Waze is started from another app.
I.e. Dacia Media Control has a widget for Waze. When Dacia Media Control starts Waze, the Dacia logo appears in a bubble saying that the application is sharing data with Media Control. It would be very convenient to get back…

Replace pop ups with static pane
The pop-up banners showing the next turn make it almost impossible to use any other CarPlay controls such as Music etc. as the Waze banners take the focus. This means that I am unable to change my music while stopped at lights. Popups should still be used for alerts or high-priority info but next turn / lane info should be on a static pane.

Add track information from Spotify or whatever music app you have running so you can see what is playing without having to switch apps.
Have a line on the map that tells you name of track playing on music app and maybe the artist

Add YouTube (not music) for ppl who listen (without video) to YouTube creator shows while driving
Add YouTube so ppl can listen to YouTube content (that isn't music) and navigation at the same time and can fwd/back through playlists

differentiate between police control reports that are traffic-related and those that are not
The idea is to differentiate between police control reports that are traffic-related and those that are not. Currently, the app only allows the reporting of police controls without distinguishing between these two aspects. The specific proposal is for the app to allow users to report controls that are strictly traffic-related and, separately, another option to report police controls of a general nature that are not related to traffic.

Android auto/ waze YouTube music bar is now gone an replaced with app icons
The skip song pause music bar for YouTube music is now gone when running Android auto while using waze. This is now a big issue as that bar has been replaced with all the app icons so I now physically have to tap the YouTube music icon an open the app up then change/pause my music which takes my eyes off the road way more then before so this is a serious issue. I don't know if this is a waze issue or Android auto as I didn't have this happen till the new update for Android auto just came…

Android Auto Dashboard navigation information/Steering wheel control
Make Navigation information available in the Dashboard of the Car.
If I use google maps I have navigation information like "turn left in 400m" in the dashboard (next to the speedometer) and can use the main screen e.g. for music control or other apps.
Would be nice if Waze would also support the additional dashboard options.Also in google maps its possible to select the last locations in the dashboard with buttons on the steering wheel, but not in waze pleas add this also.

Please add a signal of some kind to alert us that you will be speaking a direction..I miss the directions if I am listening to music.
Before voice directions, please insert sound of some kind to alert us that the voice direction is coming so I can turn down the radio or the music.
By the time I turn down the music, I've missed the voice directions.Or, is there a way to repeat the voice direction--

Setting tweak. Set to lower volume for music apps but pause audio for podcast apps
At current, the audio choice is either 'Lower Volume' or 'Pause Audio'. We'll I'd love to have that option for each linked audio app. For example: Whilst using Spotify I want music volume to dip however when I'm using Castbox I want it to pause. At the moment it's choose a single option for all linked apps, let us assign for each app please!

Support Radio Javan instead of Spotify for Iranian Wazers
There are some problems with Spotify and its music database is incomplete.

BUG: Knob controls selection box skips around
My Mazda interacts with Android Auto via control selector knob rather than touch screen. When an alert pops up for police, it gives two options to pick from: not there or still there when I rotate my control knob to move the highlighted selection box over to one of those options, the system will automatically jump the selection box back to the default position up top before I can even make a choice. Please fix so the selection box stays where the user moves it to. It times out almost instantly.

Opening Waze on Apple Carplay cuts off radio - doesn't with other map apps
When I open Waze on Apple Carplay in my car my music/radio will stop playing (switches from Radio/Sirius to iPod on my Pioneer Nex). I have to manually go back and turn the music back on. This doesn't happen when I open Google Maps or Apple Maps.

Have waze not kill my Sony Music app when they are both on at the same time.
When the waze sends an audio alert over my bluetoothed car audio system, it will stop the Sony Music app that is playing. Then when the alert is done, I will have to go in and tell the app to play again. This is frustrating.

Better 'ok Google' voice control
Since its simple enough to configure Google to auto-listen for 'ok Google' and its voice recognition is much faster than the three-finger touch version in Waze, could Waze implement a full set of commands for the 'ok Google' interface?
Examples:
* Okay Google, Navigate home with Waze (obvious)
* Okay Google, Send alert police with Waze (sends notification)
* Okay Google, Add stop, coffee with Waze (opens the add-stop interface with a search result for 'coffee')
