2. Sort out a way where people can NOT post fake pins. Over 300 fake pins posted in Western Australia this morning!!!!

   People who register on Waze must be a verified account. Drivers are posting fake pins. Slowly this app will become useless. Over 300 FAKE pins posted today. Not fair for tow truck drivers wasting time due to silly competition.

3. Track my car's vitals; build database for community benefits

   This is a big idea, no small undertaking I know. I'd like to combine my GPS app with the functionality of an app like Gas Cubby, which tracks my MPG at every fill-up and alerts me when my car is due for maintenance.

   Here's how I envision it:
   -I tell Waze what car I drive: ex: 2003 Saturn Vue, 6 cyl, automatic
   -Every time I stop to fill up, I tell Was
   a) What my current odometer reads (waze should know how many miles I've driven in theory, but this is a checksum validation in case I forgot to open the app while driving a few miles)
   b) How many gallons I pumped
   c) What price I paid
   d) Waze automatically detects what gas station I'm at
   -This allows Waze to track my MPG and cost of driving
   -This also incentivizes wazers to use the gas price feature more often

   Waze can then go several directions:
   -Keep a database of real world avg MPG ratings for all sorts vehicles, a valuable database to have for people purchasing new and used cars.
   -Waze gets more accurate gas price database because people use the feature at every fill-up
   -Alert me of the best price of gas on my commute when it knows I'm low on gas (IE: it can tell I fill up on average every 300 mi, it starts suggesting places when I've gone 250 mi.)
   -I can request routes based on new factors: quickest, shortest, or most economical route (since it can learn my MPG in city vs highway driving... it's tracking all of it after all). In many case I find, the route that's going to take me an extra 3-5 minutes to drive is also the route that will save me money on gas, which is worth it to me; but not always. It's hard to tell and waze could compute this for me.
   -It can give an estimated cost of trip as well as ETA (EX: 20 mi to work, 26 minute ETA, $3.42 estimate cost of commute given current local gas prices and your driving habits and mpg)
   -It can also alert me of other maintenance items: oil changes, timing belts, fuel filters, even to check tire pressure every couple thousand miles.

   All of this would incentivize Wazers to leave the app open at all times when driving, whether they need directions or not, which in turn gives waze more accurate map and traffic date. This also gives a new aspect to the 'game' that is waze: I get to track and beat my own 'score' (mpg), and even 'beat' the avg MPG of other Wazers with my vehicle type.

   I've been looking for a GPS that does all this for a long time, and there isn't a good one. Waze has the best chance of becoming that. I know it's a big request, but I think it would be amazing.

4. pre-select most commonly used updates into nav screen buttons

   Have one main button on the navigation map screen that when pressed dynamically separates into 6 buttons (3 on the left [upper corner, midlevel, lower corner], 3 on the right). This would cut down on the clutter when an update is not needed.

   Allow the user to customize these buttons to their most commonly used ones. For me, they would be car on the shoulder, heavy traffic, and hidden cop. If the update was on my side of the road, I would customize these to the right 3 buttons. If they were on the opposite side, I could customize these to the left 3 buttons allowing for some laterality of sorts.

   Once one of the six buttons are pressed, the update would be entered immediately without an option to save it for later.

   The suggestion allows to user to quickly update map information in a shorter amount of time due to familiarity and less button pressing. This will ultimately shorten the time the user's eyes are off the road and improve the safety level of using this great app.

5. Pickup pasanger will display levels

   When Waze alerts me to pickup new passenger on the way (Waze carpool) it will be awesome to see how much drives the wazer done before meeting me. What is his level? So I would have some sort of confidence when picking up a total stranger.

7. Adding Social Distancing reminder notification

   During this pandemic, I think it would be a really good move for Waze to add some sort of notification reminding users of the social distance recommendations such as wearing a mask, standing 6ft apart, and washing hands. I imagine this would look similar to the notification that pops up when the app is being used while the vehicle is in motion, reminding the driver about safe driving, except this notification should pop up right after the driver presses go. As Waze is used by many, I think this is a great way to take action and do your part during this outbreak.

8. Signalement de travaux

   Lorsque l’on ne suit pas l’itinéraire suggéré, il serait pratique que waze, en détectant un changement d’itinéraire, suggère une liste de raisons à l’écran (bouchons en vue, travaux, autre) de sorte à signaler plus facilement les travaux. Sinon, lorsque l’on conduit, il est difficile de prendre le téléphone, aller dans le menu pour ajouter un signalement de travaux.

9. Danger zone entry and exit icons with Android Auto in France

   Hello,

   Would it be possible to improve the announcement of danger zones for France (because in our country, announcing the precise location of speed cameras is prohibited!)?

   The ideal would be to have an icon when you enter and another icon when you leave a danger zone in addition to the voice announcement and the small frame at the top left.
   If we could also have on the road, a color associated with danger zones as in the style of traffic announcements, to best indicate the duration of the zone.

   Other applications like Tomtom do so why not Waze!

   Wäre es möglich, die Anzeige von Gefahrenzonen für Frankreich zu verbessern (denn in unserem Land ist die genaue Anzeige von Blitzerstandorten verboten!)?

   Ideal wäre neben der Sprachansage und dem kleinen Rahmen oben links ein Icon beim Betreten und ein weiteres Icon beim Verlassen einer Gefahrenzone.
   Wenn wir auch auf der Straße eine Farbe haben könnten, die Gefahrenzonen wie im Stil von Verkehrsdurchsagen zugeordnet ist, um die Dauer der Zone am besten anzuzeigen.

   Andere Anwendungen wie Tomtom machen das, warum also nicht Waze!

10. Shut Down UserVoice

    Yes, the title is clickbait. But that really is the end goal!

    Let’s get straight to the point: UserVoice has done an excellent job of centralizing Waze community suggestions in a tool specifically designed for that purpose. However, after years of cumulative use, it has become clear that managing it has grown increasingly difficult.

    And now, entering the scene: Discuss.

    Discuss has opened up a whole new range of possibilities for community interaction. It is a technically modern platform, with a pleasant user experience and strong functional versatility.

    There is no doubt that Discuss is capable of absorbing all the functions currently handled by UserVoice. Every feature available in UserVoice can find an equivalent within Discuss.

    Voting, reactions, comments, categories, tagging, listings, sorting, posting — everything you can do in UserVoice is also available in Discuss.

    Automatic translation? New post notifications? Tables? Emojis? Permalinks? User avatars and badges? AI-generated topic summaries? User permission levels? Bookmarking favorites?

    Discuss has it all. Sometimes it really feels like Discuss was designed for exactly this purpose.

    Beyond feature parity, Discuss also offers practical advantages. For example, posting an image in UserVoice requires pasting a link to an external file — just like in the old forum days. Discuss allows direct uploads.

    Defending a suggestion requires much more than words. Images and videos, for example, can be extremely helpful in presenting a concept in a far more compelling way.

    From a platform perspective, centralizing users within the Discuss environment — with unified login and content hosted under the Waze umbrella — is both technically sound and timely. It also encourages user recirculation, increasing the chances that someone who submits a suggestion will engage with ongoing discussions, and vice versa. On top of that, it’s simply more convenient, more robust, and better looking.

    At this point, only a few minor adjustments would be needed, such as creating a screen to encourage users to search for similar suggestions before posting, and adding tags to indicate the status assigned by the staff. Nothing that can’t be done.

    This isn’t about shutting down UserVoice. It’s about building a single, modern home for feedback, discussion, and collaboration — where ideas don’t just get submitted, they get shaped.

11. New update doesn't work in android auto

    Let us know how to fall back on the old version until you sort out the bugs. In Mazda 6 the selection knob doesn't seem to interact with Waze. If you finally managed to add tge new destination it only shows the destination itself on the map rather than the routing (although the pop-ups correspond to the routing). If you add tge destination before connecting sometimes it works however it is impossible to cancel the pop-up messages. Often just freezes up. Please let us know when will this be fixed and in the meantime let us know how to fall back onto the old version.

12. Special preferences for Waze Volunteer Editors

    I suggest special preferences for Waze Volunteer Editors for both recognition of Volunteer Editors and also benefit to Waze. Sort of like Mood characters for Editors as a reward. But in this case it would be for the benefit of Waze operations and easier reports.

    1. Make it possible to place "Report Map Problem" first in the list since we are constantly scanning for map improvements.
    2. Make it possible to preload the Report contents with Editor information. Example, I like to prefix my notes with [Note: Sr-Navi-Gator report] and then follow with what ever I am reporting. This way other editors know it is my report and who to contact for additional information.

13. App issue iPad Pro 12.9

    The app doesn’t center the map when I use any sort of split screen on my iPad Pro 12.9. Even when it’s full screen it tends to push everything to the right with any view.
    Please fix I don’t even see where my car icon is sometimes cause it’s off the screen and doesn’t recenter correctly

14. Reporting Incentive or offer to earn currency to your royal wazers

    It would be great if there was incentive to report or offered an opportunity to earn some sort of currency for being an awesome reporter. My account says im waze royalty but im not really feeling the royalties. While I love the idea of helping my fellow man it would be great to be rewarded for my efforts.

15. Add a routing option that avoids the traffic lights as much as possible

    I'd like to have an option that allows avoiding traffic light controlled intersection because here the city is implementing a sort of "red wave" so no matter what the traffic lights are red, but there are roads that allow avoiding such lights.

    My suggestion is adding a routing that allows avoiding (poorly synchronized) traffic lights for as much as possible.

17. When Searching for "FUEL", add [Nearest] or [Along Route] selector/modifier.

    Not only is this needed, but it also needs good UX to make what's happening clear.

    In the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of situations, I want the CLOSEST gas station AHEAD (or on my current) route. It could be something as easy as a modal popup that says [BUTTON] in brackets:

    [Shortest Distance] or [Nearest Ahead]

    Where [Shortest] = "oh my .... I'm on fumes and need fuel NOW"
    And
    [Nearest Ahead] just does a quick check of your current route, a little balancing to find the shortest route with a 10-minute "lookahead" and presents the user with a list that INCLUDES:

    [Along Route]
    "Time (DIST) to (GAS STATION) adds (X DIST)"
    Being able to SORT by the (X DIST), which would be the "miles added by deviation" then allows me to see the shortest add miles and how long".

    When I'm on local roads, it doesn't matter as much. But, when I'm on a trip in unfamiliar areas, I usually want an upcoming fuel location that adds the least "exit .... back on" time or distance. I'm fine with driving 20 minutes if it's an addition of 2 miles, but want to avoid closer options that add 5 miles as long as it's not dire.

    Not only is this needed, but it also needs good UX to make what's happening clear.

    In the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of situations, I want the CLOSEST gas station AHEAD (or on my current) route. It could be something as easy as a modal popup that says [BUTTON] in brackets:

    [Shortest Distance] or [Nearest Ahead]

    Where [Shortest] = "oh my .... I'm on fumes and need fuel NOW"
    And
    [Nearest Ahead] just does a quick check of your current route, a little balancing to find the shortest route with a 10-minute "lookahead" and presents the user with a list that INCLUDES:

18. Automatic start route -> Add more options (home, other wazers work, then home...)

    If I go everyday to centre for other wazer and together we go home, lets have another option then Automatic go home first.

    Go Centre -> Go in 5, 4
    Go Home -> GO instead
    Go Another saved place -> GO

    basic algorytm involved: sort by number of times visited. Option to turn off.

    Bonus: Multiple choice - if I can check like 4 od five saved places by one click.

    Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

19. Is exit-cutting intentional?

    Last night Waze recommended that I exit the I-66 freeway in northern VA and re-enter on the other side of the interchange - essentially using the exit/entry ramp as a shortcut to cut in front of other drivers who remained on the main highway. This sort of selfish behavior by drivers makes overall traffic worse - is this really an an intentional feature? If so, would you consider changing it?

20. Calendar and contacts

    Whenever I want to sync my iPhone contacts, and calendar app at the same time, my waze will either take long to load or won’t load at all.
    Now I have to keep my contacts synced in and leave the calendar app out our it will crash

    Needs sorting asap, bored of seeing the ‘connect your calendar message’

    Maybe it’s because I have the iPhone 16 pro max and no one else is having this problem with an older model, because this didn’t happen on my iPhone 11pro

    Sort this asap please🙏🏾
