change speed bump to traffic calming device
There are many different devices used to slow vehicles other than speed bumps. Other examples include chicanes, roundabouts, splitter islands, entrance treatment, speed pillows, speed humps and intersection humps. I'm sure there are others too.
The speed bump permanent hazard would fit all of these other types of methods used to slow vehicles down but if we add a speed bump where there technically isn't a speed bump we confuse the wazer and likely will generate unnecessary URs.
If we changed the name from speed bump to 'traffic calming device' (my suggestion), we easily fit all these slow-down methods and…

Swap the speed limit & notifications on the map
Swap the speed limit & notifications on the map. The speed limit should be in the circle (opaque) and actual speed in the b&w box. Reading the circle is difficult for actual speed.

Spastic speed limit display
Since the last updates the speed limit seems to go spastic popping in & out. Example: PA Turnpike speed limit is 70 mphs. Cruise control set to 70 , going down hills speed increases to 70.5. Speed limit sign goes nuts - in & out. Not enough hysteresis. Distracting

Suggested speed limit
In the Netherlands we have two types of speed limits. The first is the legal limit and the second is the suggested speed limit. Which is lower to encourage safe driving. The second type of speed limits, the suggested speed limit has a different sign. Blue with a white border.
It would be beneficial to show these suggested speed limits in the Waze interface as well as to encourage safe driving. Currently they are not shown in the application.

Police traffic stop - recording speed
I would like to see an action that is a button always on the app screen displayed that allows you to capture speed and other information about your location, etc., when you are being pulled over by a police for speeding. Allow the user's to review the data at stop point to know their speeds, lets say 5 minutes prior to pressing the ticket button. Also, email the data to the user's email.

Police warning should be Speed dependant
Police warnings should be either speed or road type dependant. There is no point warning me about police speed trap 200 yards ahead when their optical devices can see about one mile. I think if this was added it would be perfect app.

Speed indicator
It would be nice for the speed indicator and the time to be on the left hand side of the display rather than the right so the driver can view it easier on the car's display.

Current speed colour
I’d really like the Current Speed to be a different colour. Red text over black background is too hard to see with sunglasses on. It would be better if it could have white text on the black background or change it to say yellow text on the black background perhaps.
Whatever it is, it needs to stand out.

Notorious speed trap locations/communities
There any number of notorious locations or communities that appear to prey on out of town drivers by placing hidden speed traps and adhering to exact speed limits. The locals know of them and even worse the local cops smile and wave at the same locals "speeding". By contrast they seem to relish going after out of town folks who are not likely or able to dispute a speeding ticket. Some sort of warning to unknowing folks that any speed beyond the speed limit puts you at risk.

Autovelox and Speed section control
I have two suggestion about it...
it would be so much greater if all the autovelox were reported every time also if we run under the limit, because if for any reason after the no ringtone pop up I go over I have no notification about the autovelox... it will be su much easier and safer if was introduced the possibility to enable an all time notificationfor the section control speed you must integrated a average speed in the section and improve the where the section start and finish

Speed camera audible alert issue
I'm not sure if this is the same for all or just an issue with my install but it would be good to have an audible alert for every speed camera that I pass on a journey because at present the only audible alert I get is for the first camera I pass, there after, all additional cameras only show up as a visual alert.

Speed camera toggle
Please give us a avoid speed camera reroute toggle similar to toll ways. Seems like your app keeps routing us into cameras by default. These are bad unhealthy unsafe driving conditions in high traffic areas that I would prefer to avoid and go around.

More speed limit values
More options for reporting the speed limits. Currently only shows speeds ending in 5 (25 35 45 etc) but needs to display speeds ending in 0 as well (20 25 30 35 40 45 etc).

UI Problem: Speed camera\police alert covers the speed limit
I was using Waze in horizontal mode last night - the speed limit and my current speed were displayed near the bottom of the screen in the middle horizontally. I noticed that when alerts such as Police ahead or Speed Camera in x feet were displayed the notification box covers key bits of the screen such as your current speed, the speed limit and your precise location.
I think either the UI needs to shift up when the alerts are displayed, or the alert box needs to be constrained to one side of the screen.

problem!!!!Missing Section Controll Speed cameras !
In a lot of European countries you have speed-control via section-control, means:
the avgerage speed is measured of a certain distance by taking picture of car when entering and leaving the measuring section.
Unfortunatly currently you can not warn other users of such controls.
On contrary, such controls are only posted as stationary speed-control when entering, which is very misleadingI drive every day Germany swiss...500+ miles track . ( I deliver pockets)

Limited varible speed switch
Have a limited speed switch that the user can select, ie truckers in Europe are limited to 56mph some even limited to 52mph to give a more accurate arrival time, like TT have in their devices, arrival time is way out on Waze at present for us truck drivers!

Let users add speed camera locations
I noticed with the newest update that you omitted letting users update red light/ speed camera locations from the app .. not sure- why but I’d like to petition you to please add it back ..... we here in NYC are getting bombarded with cameras that have nothing to do with driving safe ( not near schools - hospitals etc) they are just another way for this city to take money from its hard working overtaxed citizens..

Speed Lines
Hello, we have "speed lines" in Pennsylvania, among 9 other states, where police can setup nearby and measure your car when it crosses one line in the road and then the time it takes for it to cross a second line a short ways down the road to measure speed. It is called Vascar. Could you add a "speed line" option for the app to keep track of these when encountered by Wazers?

Speed limit alert
Hey Waze
I have a proposal that I think would help with traffic safety. You have already created a speed alert. The problem today is that it only gives an alarm once in a speed zone. To get a new alarm, you need to enter a new speed zone. I thought it might be a good idea to make it possible for you to choose to get an alarm as long as you drive too fast, and that you can choose the alarm tone and volume.
