End route at end of closed segments
When the destination would end on a segment that is currently closed the route ends on the next closest segment (that isn't closed) which in many cases is a road in the back of the property where there's no access to the destination.
Consider ending the route at the last node that is not closed on the route - at the node the closure ends/starts.

Toggle navigation options in route
When already in navigation, and pulling up to see the route options... You should be able to toggle the navigation options, say, in a secondary section below the different routes available.
Examples:
- avoid freeways
- avoid ferries
- avoid toll roads
- etcThat way, you don’t have to go into Th e overall settings of the entire app. The setting stay as default, but the options you toggle are for that specific navigation in progress.

Add Pause Button to Route Guidance
I use Waze a lot for local driving and frequently take small diversions to convenience stores or maybe swing by another store or a friend's house a few blocks away that is not on the original route.
I find it very hard to believe that no one has ever added a Pause button to route guidance.
I have seen it rationalized that it would be distracting while you're driving.

Show Status Bar: Next gas station 5 miles on Route Kilometers
An idea.
Problem: I am on a trip from 800 kilometers with the route defined and must supply the vehicle in the middle of the route must go into settings and check for Waze fuel stations near which usually makes me out of route.
Solution: The Waze could show on the main screen a status bar stating "the next gas station 5 km, 3 km" which is on the route "always updating this status when we passed the gas station, or even show the price of fuel preferred the next 3 posts so I can choose whether it is…

Change route colour
You recently changed the colour of speed cameras on display from green to blue, and if you use the dark mode, like I have always done, the route colour is also blue, and therefore the speed cameras are barely visible! This is total nonsense! Please allow to change the colour of the speed cameras or the route.

Fastest route regardless of toll fees
Currently Fastest Route takes toll amount and distance into consideration. Many times, better routes with much higher tolls + a longer highway detour is in fact faster.
While there is an option to opt out of tolls, there is no way to have the "Fastest" route regardless.
Fastest should mean really the fastest and not "according to what Waze thinks people might want".

There should be an option to apply the above choice across the whole route to the destination or state by state or highway by highway.
For hazards and police, the “Still there” and “ Not there” choice is available only for a short period of time. It’s only after passing the location that one knows whether it is still there or not.

nowadays, it is no longer appropriate to always display the fastest route as the default.
just today waze wanted to send me from a 25.2 km route to a 49.9 km route because it was 5 minutes faster. I think 14% time savings for a 58% longer and thus a more material- and environment-harming route, not appropriate!

Choose time of reports before calculates the route
The ability to choose what old time has to be a report to be considered in my route. For example, if anyone has reported that last hour was traffic on a road, it is not said that there is even now, indeed probably there is not traffic now and so it is not necessary to calculate an alternate route. So it would be useful to have a possibility to set a parameter that filters on what must be a recent report so to be considered eg. in the last 30 minutes, in the last 15 minutes.

Then, in the left panel tap on the search bar and you’ll get a gas station icon directly under the search bar (along with parking, restaurant and cafe icons). Tap on the icon and you’ll get the list of closest gas stations. If you’re in active navigation Waze will also calculate the reroute time to get to each gas station.Happy cruising.

introduce 'SAME ROUTE NUMBER'... i'd like to ride Route 64 from NC to AZ, and stay on that route all the time, is there any way to do that? i've riden Rt 82 & Rt. 84 and it's nice to see the entire length of a specific road... i'm also contemplating Rt. 1 from Ft. Kent, ME to Key West, FL at some point... please help...

An option to switch on the screen a second map view showing the route with zoom out
It could be a good idea to have a switch on/off option of a second map view (in one corner of the screen) to see simultaneously the route from higher perspectives (i.e., a zoom out view), in order to acquire information regarding where the Waze would direct us, which roads, after every recalculations of the optimal route.

Search along current route changed?
During a route, Waze used to search along the current route for my search term and give results +minutes off route but now it seems to have just changed to +minutes away from current location. If I am leaving Chicago on a 1 hour drive into the suburbs and I would like to find ice cream along my route, now I have to wait until outside of the city in the area I think there might be one to start searching whereas before it would give me locations say 30 mins along the route but which ice cream…

Show cheapest gas station for your preferred fuel grade along Route
When you plug in the address for your destination comma a notification good pop up to show the cheapest gas station for your grade of fuel along that route. For rats over 300 miles. Multiple stations could pop up.

Route optimization??
Is there a way for me to optimize a route with multiple stops in Waze? I can use RouteXL for up to 20 stops, but prefer Waze for navigation. It would be super helpful if I could enter or import the addresses into Waze, and then it give me the fastest order to hit them all and return me to my starting point.

choose my custom route!
Have you ever thought that the driver does every day the same way to go to work or home, so he already has his favorite ways? Have you ever thought about leaving the driver predefine these paths and when to consult the routes have a new area for "Custom Routes" and showing the conditions of transit and time for those 3 chosen paths? I would feel more comfortable in knowing how long it would take if I had chosen that MY way specifically. Thanks!
