When making phone calls in the car, voice navigation can be highly distracting, yet it's still important to have critical turn-by-turn navigation when you're headed to an unfamiliar destination.

At a minimum FIX the phone number verification AND FIX the password recovery. Impossible to load my account on a new phone.

Controls on phone when using android auto or carplay
I'm a waze user paired with android auto device. I think it would be alot better if you are able to make it so you can control waze with your mobile device and see the map with android auto, google maps started doing this and it feels like waze is missing this opportunity. It would be great if you can end drives, start drives, see turns up ahead on the phone while using AA while the main map is displayed on AA

Aqui na cidade do Recife, no Estado de Pernambuco, no Brasil, foram instalada muitas câmeras de fiscalização de trânsito, operadas por agentes de trânsito na central do órgão de fiscalização municipal. Ele podem aplicar penalidades à distância como prada irregular do veículo; ultrapassagem em sinal fechado; formação de fila dupla; conversão proibida; e conduzir motocicleta sem utilizar capacete, entre outras. Radar audio warning trigger model
I don't know if this is a new topic or not, but this is a problem that I've encountered wherein the normal Waze behavior is almost like a bug.
How it works today
The visual on screen warning for a Speed camera is based on distance only. I.e it will always show on-screen when the driver is X meters from the camera.
However, the audio warning for a speed camera only activates if you pass the "detection distance" and are "over speed"Problem

Yellow Box Junction Cameras
TLDR Version: At the moment on Waze you can only report either speed cameras, red light cameras or fake cameras, having a 'yellow box junction' camera would be a logical and great addition imho.
Non TLDR Version: Yellow box junction cameras drive me nuts (for those not UK based these are cameras that make sure yellow box junctions - ie boxes marked on the road to stop drivers stopping at the entrance to a side junction and blocking it), mainly because not all yellow boxes are enforced with cameras (so drivers from all angles…

When you driving on a average speed zone
When you driving on a average speed zone than your left green panel what is showing the distance from average speed zone should show the speed too and the panel should change to red if the speed is more than the allowed average speed Also it should check the speed between one camera to the second one and not just from the first and last camera

The "mute during calls" and "play on phone speaker" sliders need to be interconnected
Here is the problem with the "Play sound via: Play on phone speaker" setting. With both "mute during calls" and "pause spoken audio" turned off, I noticed that if I have airpods in and they are being used as the device's default audio settings, I will hear all Waze alerts, as expected, on the phone's speaker.

Option to turn off alerts for speed cameras on regularly traveled roads
It is helpful to have speed camera alerts on roads you’re new to or rarely travel on.
However it’s disruptive when you get alerts for speed cameras you regularly pass while commuting.
Using basic pattern recognition software on regular routes drivers could be provided the option to turn off camera alerts for the specific route(s).

Need an update for overheating phone!!
When using Waze on CarPlay it causes my phone to heat up quickly and end up stop charging and kills my battery ( 40% in an hour) by running Waze on CarPlay. This needs addressed. It started happening after the iOS 16 update and doesn’t do it with any other navigation app or any other app period.
Please fix this. Oh and add stop signs yield signs and traffic lights to the app as well.

give option to opt out of "Mobile data not available" that pops up after EVERY phone call I make, forcing me to click "ok" to see Waze again
When I make a phone call with Waze open, after the call is connected and the phone call is displayed, a box pops up saying "Mobile data not available" and explains that certain apps are affected. I don't need this reminder after EVERY call and by now i know it quite well. Please give us an opt out button so I don't have to be distracted by clicking "ok" to remove this box and display Waze again. Thank you, Mike :)

Audio alerts for speed and red light cameras
My audio alerts for speed and red light cameras stopped working a few months ago. I'm running waze directly on my phone (Google pixel 7) with the latest version of Android OS and waze app installed. My settings for alerts are correct. I see the flashing camera on the map and text alert on the screen but audio alerts are not working. I live in NYC where cameras are on every other block. Can you alert people about Speed cameras sooner
Today’s mobile speed cameras can catch you one mile away, your alerts seem to be that or less and it just doesn’t give us enough warning.

Direction Indicators for Speed Cameras
Add a small directional arrow or some kind of indicator next to each speed camera symbol on the map, indicating which direction that camera is monitoring. No indicator if the speed camera monitors both sides, which is rare but still exists.

Flip phone support
Hello guys, any chance you can add support for the Samsung z flip?
With Google maps and other apps, when you fold the phone it puts the map on half the screen.
I really want to use this app and sack off the usless Google maps but I fold my phone to fit on my dash and this hasn't got the capability of working folded.

Phone Charging Indication while navigating with app
It would be great to have an icon on the map display indicates that your phone is charging or plugged in while navigating with the waze app. There have been several times while driving and my phone was accidentally not correctly seated in the car charging cradle. I was navigating on battery power and the only indication was when I received a low battery warning notification from the phone OS.
