Create a "via" function
Say I'm at home and I'm going out but I need to stop at the bank on the way. My closest branch is the opposite direction of the way I need to go ultimately. If I could type in my destination, but then tell Waze I want to go "via" Citibank, then Waze could calculate whether it's better from a traffic perspective for me to drive the wrong direction now, or if there's a Citibank on my route that would be faster overall.

integrate into Android Auto?
Good day guys. Just a quick one. Please can you guys have a look to integrate this awesome app into Android Auto? This is new technology that many car makers are starting to use and they only make use off Google maps. This app displays your mobile navigation on the vehicle's multimedia head unit. Feedback & update request for the latest version. I'll start by saying I'm a huge fan of Waze. But this version has some major issues. I'm on an iPhone 6 running 9.2.1 (and now updated to 9.3). I have performed two hard restarts and uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I'm using a turn-by-turn voice (same as always)
1. There are no distance announcements
a. You get a 'turn right' command when you normally get a 'in half a mile, turn right' command
2. The street names are not announced
a. You only get street names at the turn

Voice Search shouldn't require so many taps to work.
The best driving apps are ones that you don't have to touch very often since that takes concentration away from the road. Waze lets you search via tapping the Microphone button but then still requires multiple taps to complete the request.
Current steps:
1) TAP magnifying glass
2) TAP microphone
3) Say name of place to go
4) Look at the screen to see the list of possible suggestions
5a) TAP the location you want if shown, or
5b) TAP the Search button for more results and then TAP the location you want
6) TAP the Go button

Make my Waze work. It requires a user agreement every time I start it.
Fix the Waze on the Android Nexus so that it starts every time without having to agree to a user agreement, logging in, getting a number etc. It is a pain and makes it useless.

Have client present auto-off if removed from charging
I sometimes make frequent stops during a trip, and it is an annoyance to have to start and stop the client so that it doesn't give false heavy traffic reports. If I am in the car, I always have the phone on a charger. if the client senses that the phone is no longer charging, have a pop-up box ask if the application should be turned off.

Please add turn list to Android Auto integration!
New to Android Auto, long time Waze user.
Please, please, please add the turn listing to your Android Auto integration. I always check this list before I leave! I always want to know the details of the selected route, sometimes Waze just gets things wrong, or I know a better way.
Right now your users are blindly following directions and don't know more than one turn at a time.

Interface - needs to revert to 3.x
The new interface looks childish and is unusable in landscape mode. The next instruction box at the top is too big. The notifications are horribly big, and the ones that show when you stop at a traffic light are worse, with the black background.
The map looks drawn by a 4 years old in crayon, seems to lack a lot of the information it had on v3.x., the map lines are too wide.
Having functions that only show when you tap the screen is very bad in usability terms.

Protest the removal of the police warning feature!
The Sheriff's association is using the tired old excuse that the police warning feature in the Waze app "could be used by terrorists." That is a RIDICULOUS excuse! The truth is that they just don't want us having the ability to warn others about their friggin' speed traps, and they don't want us avoiding tickets! Terrorists my shiny white butt! Improved Google Assistant Integration on Android Auto
The overall issue with Waze seems to be that the phone app is better built than the Android Auto app, which wouldn't be a problem were it not for the fact that it has led to borderline non-existent communication between the Android Auto version of the Google Assistant and the Android Auto Waze app. This problem leads to two main issues: drivers can't report hazards without taking one of their hands off the wheel and their eyes off the road unless they have a passenger on board, and if the driver uses the Google Assistant to ask for directions…

Refined UI
This may not pertain to most people, but for those of you who use the Waze app in the landscape view may have similar issues. First of all, the alert box for train crossings and red light cameras takes up approximately 40% of the bottom of the screen, as well as the direction arrows information covers the speed display. Some of the other icons are piled on top of each other. If the UI were to be more like the Android auto version of Waze or Gmaps it would be much better and easier to use.

Option to automatically disable WiFi
When transitioning from WiFi to 3G or vice versa, Waze often loses a connection and becomes useless, requiring us to restart the app. I imagine this would be a problem for anyone who drives by a wireless network that they use often (home, work, school, etc.) This could be avoided by giving the user the option to automatically disable WiFi connections within Waze. This option would prevent users from having to disable WiFi before starting Waze every time.

Let users change the colour of the arrow and route line
Blue is too hard to distinguish, especially in dark mode when driving at night. This would also help those that are colour blind.
I am aware that one can choose a different icon but I prefer the arrow style as it takes less time to figure out which direction I am facing.

Tell us WHY Waze can't find a route
Today I was in Virginia and starting a drive to Northampton, MA. Waze told me that it couldn't find a route. In fact, it couldn't find a route to Boston, or New Haven, or anywhere else north of NY, NY. (It can find a route to NY, NY). I'd like to know why. I tried multiple phones.
When things like this happens, Waze should say WHY it can't find a route.

Switch map and directions on android devices to left or right
My car is a left hand drive vehicle however while using the app on an android headunit the directions are on the left side of the screen while the map is on the right hand side of the screen which is very hard to see. I suggest an option if your car is a left hand drive vehicle to swap these two and revert back if it is a right hand drive vehicle.

Avoid a specific road
I've seen a number of posts regarding this, and myself have wanted this on various occasions for a number of different reasons. The alternatives (avoid highway, avoid toll, avoid dirt) are useful in many cases, but there are also many cases where they simply don't serve the actual need.

Traffic lights option button
Hello wazers. There are some traffic lights that are fast enough to pass through and some others that are extremely slow (2-3 cars per time). Waze commonly proposes directions through traffic lights (Even when there are other options).

flag or block bad directions like impossible lefts or straights
A button to flag a bad intersection or left turn; Waze can then remember and avoid it next time.
