2. Avoid traffic jams.

   I often travel with 3 kids on long road trips. Always rather be moving than standing in place with screaming kids and I am SURE a lot of people would agree. I recently had a trip take 10+ hours instead of the original 7 because of completely predictable and avoidable traffic jams on highways. Clearly not there in the middle of the night when I depart but jams there every day since they are because of ongoing construction work on a lane. I kind of assumed waze already tried to help you avoid these but I guess I was wrong. Ran into 4 of them.
   I need a setting to avoid jams appearing on my route with 2 extra parameters: max acceptable length of of a traffic jam (in minutes) and max percentage of remaining trip length added as a consequence of choosing an alternative route.
   This could be via a notification showing you the jam estimated length and the cost of reroute.
   Ex:
   I enable the feature and chose a 10 minute max jam time and a 15% max time increase.
   A notification appears telling me a new jam appeared on my current route. Jam seems 15 minutes long and the alternative route adds 1 hour to my route (10% of my total remaining trip time) and I gladly accept and am rerouted to leave the highway and rather keep moving that waiting in a standstill.

3. Collaborative Routing

   Waze works like the most other Navigation Apps. You can choose between 1 and 3 different fixed routes, that sometimes slightly change when there is a lot of traffic ahead. The problem is, that Waze works like a broadcast as far as I know.

   So when Route 1 have heavy traffic, all other users get Route 2 to avoid traffic. The problem here is, that new heavy traffic will be created to avoid the first.

   All cars following the same alternative route.

   Instead of rely on fixed routes, each user should get a personal routing suggestion l, each Route little different.

   Combined with a reroute request every 30s to check the current traffic we could avoid a lot of traffic that is already there and more importantly, stop to create new jams.

   For people that drive in a convoy, there should be a option to sync the routes, so they have the same.

   What you guys think?

5. It would be nice to have a map on the client that shows the colorful streets according to the average speed obtained thanks to all the GPS

   It would be nice to have a map on the client that shows the colorful streets according to the average speed of road segments obtained thanks to all the GPS as the live map on the website: yellow above 45 km / h, marron between 45 and 20 km / h, white below 25 km / h, so as to also choose myself the way and everyway understand what type of road is at a glance!

   maybe you could also make sure that the streets are set automatically (only minor, the primary and streets) coloring itself according to Vmedia .. we would solve doubts and work ..
   or at least not to lose the work done so far, have the ability to set a "level" in papyrus (as the roads are not edited in the old cartuche that I would like) showing the color of the roads according to Vmedia.

7. Blacklist police

   When there are multiple police reports in the UK in one area it usually means there is a police checkpoint, recently there have been more in my area however me and my friends noted that the police also use waze themselves and press “not there” to remove warnings other waze users have put so that people do not realise and have to go through the whole headache of getting checked. A couple of ways around this could be that you require multiple different users to press “not there” before removing from the map or if a user has been stationary for awhile or pressing the “not there” abit too much even as other people are still liking the report it should be investiagted. The fact UK police are going out of their way to do this disgusts me. Maybe even checking the activity of certain accounts, if it seeming to be trying to remove the warnings. Luckily i believe they was not able to remove some of them however i noted alot of the hidden police markings from around the checkpoints seemed to just disappear and what i stated above is definitely why.(Police hide and radio if cars try turn, then make sure they definitely get pulled over)

8. smarter routes with road closures

   Adjust the routing algorithm to consider the end of the closure (when there is one) as an additional cost of the route instead of disregarding the street, let's look at a practical example:

   We need a route from point A to B, the options are A->D->B, A->C->E->F->B where the fastest route is A->D->B, however segment D is closed. The logical route would be the second option (much more costly in terms of time).

   Now let's imagine that this new generated route (A->C->E->F->B) costs 2h30m to get to point B and the route A->D->B would cost about 20m to get to the same point B if segment D was not closed, the best route would be A->D->B.

   What I propose here is to consider the end time of the closure as an additional cost of the route. Let's consider: Segment D will be reopened in 15m, we would take the current time (20m of the normal route) and add it to the remaining closing time (in this case 15m) giving a total time of 35m which is much shorter and much better than the route the other way (which would take 2h30m).

9. Establish a Waze instance on Mastodon

   With Twitter (X) becoming more and more unusable as a social media platform, some of us have migrated to other social media platforms to continue communicating about Waze. One such platform is Mastodon, which is part of a defederated network of social media servers that is gaining popularity, particularly among tech folks. If Waze could establish its own Mastodon server, then we could ensure that there is a dedicated space for us to spread the word about Waze, and it could be managed by the same folks that moderate the forums. 10. Correction on the word ONLY

    While driving on the Garden State Parkway the voice says Ezpass ONLT instead of Ezpass ONLY. Typo that is being read obviously. Can it be corrected? It is annoying.

12. Need to distinguish between HOV and Express/HOT/Toll lanes

    Maybe this is California specific, but we have both HOV lanes, which require 2+ passengers but have no toll required, and then we have Express Lanes, which are toll lanes that you can drive in regardless of number of passengers, but do require a toll (paid for via a transponder - Fastrak in CA).

    I drive by myself so I cannot use the HOV lanes, but I do have a Fastrak transponder so I can use the Express lanes. But if I tell Waze that I have Fastrak, it automatically also routes me on the HOV lanes, which I cannot be in. Two consequences: 1) The route duration/ETA is always way off because it is calculated assuming I am in the HOV lanes, and 2) it keeps telling me to get back in the HOV lanes which is annoying.

    What is needed is ability to say "Yes - I have a transponder and want to use the express lanes" and, SEPERATELY say yes/no I have 2+ passengers and want to use HOV lanes if available and optimal.

14. Recently used addresses and already SAVED addresses be listed at the top of the drop down search

    Thank you for the WAZE app! I've used it for YEARS now and prefer it above all others! It rarely steers me wrong... so THANK YOU!

    In the not-so-distant past, my most recent addresses would still be the first ones listed in the drop-down menu, however, that seems to have now changed... It's so frustrating to go back in while driving and have to search again for the same address that I had just previously used...
    Is there a setting to correct this already? And if not, why did this change? And can you please fix it?

    ALSO, when I type in a SAVED contact, it generally does NOT come up first... instead, it will be 3 or 4 options down... when I specifically type the exact contact name as I have saved in Waze... why is this? And can it be fixed? It's annoying to have to scroll down for a contact address that I've specifically saved already...

    It's dangerous to take your eyes off the road to tap the phone. Simple, single word utterances could be made for each button on the screen so reporting could be both timely, and safe.

16. Stop reversing coordinates formats in Waze Live Map

    When you paste coordinates from Google Maps to Waze Live Map, what's long on Google Maps becomes Lat and vice versa. This is not the case for WME or Waze app. Can it be the same to facilitate search?

17. Feature Request Feedback

    Many of the feature requests have many votes, or multiple postings for the same feature requests. It appears that people really do want some things very much. However, the feature request for some items seems to be un-monitored.

    There are a number of issues, which would normally be easily resolved with some minor programming tweaks that never seem to be addressed, either in the responses, or the program revisions.
    Example: Favorites sorting - the same general feature request has been posted multiple times with post dates going back to 2010.
    It would be helpful to have some feedback to know that either:
    a) the message got though and Waze is considering it, due date xx/xx/xx,
    b) the feature request is not possible for some reason, explanation...
    c) the feature request will never be considered, explanation...

    It would be helpful to get some feedback from the programmers at Waze as to what is going on, and if any of the requested features are on a list for future releases, or will not be considered.

    I know this is a free app, but I would not mind paying a nominal fee if some of these features were implemented.

    Please consider some feedback to loyal users. Thank you.

18. reporting vehicles on the side of the road

    when reporting a vehicle on the side of the road, if the "vehicle stopped" icon were on the second screen and not buried, would be safer. 5 user inputs vs. a possible 3 - less time looking away from the road and at the map/device

    After I have changed my iphone I have lost login and when I enter my phone number it creates new account. I have lost all the history. What to do?

20. State what the alert is for

    preferred version that stated the alert (object on road/car stopped on shoulder etc) so I don't have to look at the device to determine why it is alerting me. Also would like a way to touch screen to give thumbs up/confirm without having to look at device.
