Alert Not Disappearing
When an alert pops up it will not disappear like it used to. I need to be able to see the map and sometimes I don't have availability to say whether something is there or not. Please fix this error and make the alerts disappear again after a short period of time so they're not blocking half your screen for the remainder of the drive.

Roadworks alert
Could it please be considered that the audio alert on the map guidance for roadworks be amended.
Currently it says “Watch out, roadworks reported on the road ahead”
It’s pretty obvious it’s on the road, which is why they are called ROADworks. It’s not like there is an option to report pavement/footway works.
I would have thought the simplest audio alert would be “roadworks reported ahead”???

long distance drives
I just got an idea, it may be stupid but it could be useful. You guys should make it so Waze automatically reroutes you to a gas station or places to sleep for long distance drives. I don’t know if it’s possible for Waze to know how much gas you have but if you could pull it off maybe it’d be useful. Thanks for listening to my 2am idea

Change the "watch out" alert.
I think it would be beneficial to change the way Waze gives alerts. The automated voice says "Watch out" and it's for a vehicle on the shoulder like 2 miles a head of you, or for a cop or something in the middle of the freeway. When Waze alerts about these issues, it always makes my heart drop. Imagine you are on the rode at night and your passenger, says "WATCH OUT" very loud, it would frighten anyone, and the last person you want to be scared is the driver. Maybe something less urgent, for non urgent alert…

Turn on the lights alert.
In Brazil, even during the day it's mandatory to turn on the car lights when we drive in a route (highway).
It would be very helpful there was an alert reminding us to do it each time we start driving on a highway.
(No Brasil, mesmo durante o dia é obrigatório ligar os faróis ao dirigir numa estrada.

sound alert for new route
I use my waze on my daily drive, and occasionally when there is a traffic accident, I get re-routed. The problem is that I don't see the little pop-up that says, there's a better route every time. And I end up missing a faster route and being stuck in traffic. A sound alert to tell me I'm re-routed would really help this problem.

Sound Alert in LOCKED phone
I think Waze could enable an option to be able to keep warning (Radar, Hazards, Accident, Police, Heavy Traffic, etc) even when phone is LOCKED. When I lock my Android 4.3.1 it doesn't alert anything.

Add a warning alert for "danger area"
It would be very interesting to have an option button to add a warning alert for "danger zones", so users could share an alert about locations that are not safe to walk around.

Add Automatic Distance Unit Option
I’d like to propose an “automatic” option for distance units in Waze, similar to Google Maps. This would allow the app to adjust units based on the country a traveler is in, eliminating the need to manually switch in settings each time. It’s not only more convenient for frequent travelers but also improves safety, since mismatched units between road signs and the app could lead to confusion while driving.

Route time and distance colors
Id like to have the time and distance displayed change color based on the upcoming reported traffic on your route. i.e. red if heavy traffic, orange if moderate, or green if normal flow.

Increase police warning distance
Waze users are warned of speed traps or police presence only about 600 feet ahead of time. This is far too late of a warning. With a clear line of sight, law enforcement can detect speeders at 1-2 miles out.
By the time the Waze warning pops up, you could have already been detected.
This feature – while very well intentioned and thought out – is useless with so little warning.

Common Route Change Alert.
We all have a weekday routine driving to work in the morning and back home in the evening. Most times we do not turn on Waze since the rout does not change. When there are traffic problems in that common route, I'd like to receive an alert from Waze informing me to switch on and follow a faster route automatically.

Enable voice alert when approaching speed bumps
Hello Waze Team,
It would be so helpful for all Wazers to receive Voice alerts when approaching a speed bump so that we can prepare ourselves to slow down before approaching the speed bumps, as actually speed bumps has been added but it does not appear or notify you via voice alert that we are nearing a speed bump.
Grateful to look into adding voice alert when approaching speed bumps.

Alert for run-down animals
English: We members of a robotics team created a new Waze alert. Imagine how much will be feasible alert when someone saw or trampled an animal? Usually the people don’t know what do when they trample an animal, if the Waze has this option the rescue of these animals will be easier of be accomplished and the animals will not die for staying for a long time waiting to they be ransomed.

When a motorcycle drives past alert wazer a up ahead to be in look out for a motorcycle.

Australian School Zones (40kmh) Alert
In Australia we have School Zones around all schools to ensure the safety of children around schools. In the majority of the Australian states this is a set period of Monday to Friday 8:00am to 9:30am and 2:30pm to 4:00pm. It would be great to create an alert of some sort, during these times and turn off the alert outside these times. Thank You

Swap the remaining time and distance on the bottom of the display (or make remaining time optional)
I drive an electric car, so remaining distance is important for me, but when I use waze in split screen mode, only the remaining time is visible.
It would be nice if I wouldn't need to enlarge the screen when I want to see the distance to destination.4 votes
