favorites system & usability
The favorites system in this app feels extremely limited and unintuitive, making saving and using favorites unnecessarily difficult.
Instead of a proper favorites list, the app relies on a single horizontal bar that requires swiping left and right. This design does not scale: once more than a few locations are saved, finding anything becomes a guessing game.
Fixed locations (Home and Work)
Several locations such as Home and Work are fixed and cannot be customized:
- Names cannot be renamed
- Icons are oversized
- Labels are too long and take up excessive space

Background & Problem
Many drivers frequently navigate to destinations that are the home addresses of people they know (friends, family members, clients). Upon arrival, drivers often need to:
Search for the contact on their phone
Manually place a call
Or send a message to notify arrival
These actions are often performed while driving or during short stops and lead to:
Dangerous distractions
Unnecessary time loss
A fragmented arrival experience within the navigation flow

Not suggestion Bug-waze uses calender that is removed. Waze starts a planned drive for location (blank) or location home if you are at home.
Bug report-
Waze is using calendars which have been removed.
Waze is doing a planned route even when no location has been input or when location is home and the phone is ar the location already.
First time i closed it. Second i set what calendars it was allowed to see. Third i tried setting video conferences at home location to stop it. It still comes up with planned drive.
Very frustrating and annoying when you are expecting a business call and or are in a meeting and it interrupts.

Android Auto Feature Parity
Android Auto is lacking a lot of features as opposed to the mobile phone app.
Many of them are already requested here, but I just see Ella (Waze team) marking them all as "NOT RIGHT NOW", without much extra info as to why not. ("Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.")
@Ella please take the time to think them over a bit more critically, some are just absurd why they are not going to be implemented.
For example one critical missing feature is reporting is road closures, triggering a reroute without that road.…1 vote
