I'd just like to offer some feedback I think would get a lot more people using the app from Google Maps.
When using Google maps and you say "Navigate Home" or press navigate (mainly when in the Uber app, just as an example) it opens the Google Maps app, calculates the directions and then just goes. You don't have to take your eyes off the road to press go.
When using Waze you have to wait for the app to open, calculate directions and then press go. (Why press go? If it's something I can't think of then…1 vote -
Waze maps to closest street instead of named street
I have noticed a few times lately that Waze seems to map the directions to the closest street to the gps point of the address, which is not always the same as the street the address is on. This means, for instance, that where there are houses which are set back from the street, Waze often maps to a neighboring street instead of the correct street, because it's closer to the marker.

the map doesn't display properly for ETA maps for long drives.
the map doesn't display properly for ETA maps for long drives. I can see the whole map for a route under an hour (not sure of distance, assume average highway speeds), but the map glitches and zooms in on IDK what when I watch someone do a drive of over 250 miles.

Display interstate/highway shields on client map.
Right now the live maps can display highway shields with limited functionality. Adding this ability to the client maps (and expanding its scope, as right now it is only partially functional) would really make it easier to orient yourself when viewing the map.
It would be nice if it was an option, as well... so you could disable it (like you can disable road goodies or other things) if you don't want to view them.

Switching locations as easy as it is for Google Maps
If I'm currently at location A (say), the current version of Waze (for Android) don't allow me to explore the route between 2 other different locations (B & C say). It only uses my current location (A) to any other locations so could you please make it possible to have two search boxes to allow us to explore the route of any 2 locations (e.g. From B to C)?, and also make it easy to switch between these 2 locations by having a double headed vertical arrows that can be used to switch the locations with a single tap to…
1 voteIt’s a bit tricky, but possible. Here’s the flow:
1. Select an address, which would be your starting point
2. On the preview location page tap on ‘More’ button (three dots), tap ‘Select as starting point’
3. Select an address which would be your destination
4. Tap ‘Go’ – Waze would calculate a route from selected start point to the selected destination point. -

Please skip the Go button and confirmation message when connnecting from external app. Learn from Google Maps, just go straight to the map.

Favela maps in Brazil
Favelas, in Brazil, should be mapped in Waze and users alerted everytime that a proposed traject would enter in one. From a quick search in local
Social Media, you can find history about assaults, robbery, thefts and even murders of waze users that inadvertently followed waze in the middle of a Favela.
Some police offices in Brazil already calls it "the waze victims". And, I'm hearing more and more people complaining about this issue. Yesterday, I almost entered in a Favela following Waze instructions and I can understand what people was talking about...Hope this can help to save lifes.

Location data exchange with other maps applications
I copy location in Apple Maps (57,18322° N, 24,83578° E), paste it in Waze, because I prefer driving with Waze. But Waze can't find anything. Please fix this bug. This location format shouldn't be hard to interpret correctly.

Improvement needed
I was checking out waze and I was really impressed... I felt like the waze experience was incomplete without a proper feedback. Hence I decided to give you guys a few suggestions on it: 1) Pls include downloading of maps of a certain area or preferably offline caching of Entire maps. 2) I noticed that initially the direction of the heading was wrong 4 out of 5 times, thus why not included an optional magnetic correction as it will definitely remove this error.

Add a service that will put pings/icons on the maps to show yard sales and allow these maps accessible on all platforms not just devices.
Add a service that will put pings/icons on the maps to show yard sales and allow these maps accessible on all platforms not just devices. You could also expand this to all local community events, school functions for charity like carwashes etc. As far as I know there is nothing currently available for live updates of yardsales and things of that nature. As a mother in a small community that has no need for any apps currently available, this is one I would pay for. Even in this small community, with my gps, I have trouble finding yard sales.

Offline bike navigation (for iPhone)
I’m a pizza driver and when I don’t know what route I should take, I have to consult a navigation app. Thing is, there is no navigation app like yours... so if you could please add this feature, I’d download your app in a heartbeat.

Set destination via point on map
Be able to set your destination by selecting point on the map (like in google maps), for places that don't have an exact postcode or you don't know it.

Copy-pasting coordinates from Google Maps includes parentheses.
Hello WAZE team, I have been using WAZE for almost over 8 years. Sometimes when I copy an address from Google Maps and ask for directions, the final destination ends up being incorrectly set on a highway or a blocked road, causing inconvenience as the destination is not accurately set.
