1. One click navigation to Saved places after starting waze

   You start waze everyday and you everyday pick one of 5 routes.
   But you need 3-4 clicks to do so and after every step, you have to do 3-4 quick decision and reading. It takes you attention to waaay too long.

   Imagine new optional One click home screen:

   • no map on home page (but yes, there are button to show map)
   • precalculated routes to all of your saved places IS there
   • all routes with 3 best variants, your preffered way is highlighted and Allways Shown, major issues highlighted

   How it should be - sorry for not uploading picture:

   1) WORK (see road details)
   road 1 - 17 min. (through Main st.) (light traffic logo) - GO in 3, 2, 1..
   road 2 - 27 min. (through highway) (*preffered) (accident) - GO
   road 3 - 35 min. (through Jefferson st.) (hard traffic logo) - GO

   2) HOME - turned off - because you are at home and waze know it. (with option to turn it on if its just GPS issue)

   3) Grandma house (see road details)
   road 1 - 37 min. (through Lincoln av.) (*preffered)- GO
   road 2 - 41 min. (through highway) - GO
   road 3 - 55 min. (through Jefferson st.) (police logo) - GO

   4) GF house (see details)
   road 1 - 10 min. (through Lincoln av.) (*preffered) (police) - GO
   road 2 - 15 min. (through highway) (light traffic) - GO
   road 3 - 25 min. (through Jefferson st.) - GO

   pros:
   ZERO click to got big picture

   ONE click start to daily routes or even monthly routes

   you can start it even if car, if you see accident or traffic. you have better info RIGHT NOW without a single click or scrolling on map, so you acn do it while driving in a second without toutching - MUCH safer

   if ux ++ then much more users will come

   cons:

   waze will have to do very quick road calculations (which can be slower). but there should be Loading bar under every location in this case and you should click on your favourite location to load that first.
   maybe there should be an condition - no load in 3 seconds -> show just map, or this load bar will just be over the map in packed version, so you will see the map and after every route is calculated, it gets bigger.

   everyone sees your saved places or favourite ways. but if you dont save places like girlfriend 1 and girlfriend 2, you are supersafe :-)

   if your telephone is stolen, someone will see your adresses, but it can be seen even if they are just saved.

2. Simplify Wazer and Editor workflow for residential places

   The current method for a wazer to add their home to the map is confusing and creates more work for waze map editors. The workflow for a wazer is similar to this:

   Wazer selects the yellow triangle (if it's displayed on their map)

   Next selects "Place"

   (now it is about to get really confusing)

   Wazer must take a picture

   The next screen says "Select Place" with a text field that says "Enter Place name".
   
   For a residence, the wazer should not enter a place name. Just below the text field there is apparently a "button" that if tapped will add "This is a residential place".

   But if the wazer enters a place name in the text field above, there is then no option to select the button "This is a residential place"

   Based on the volume of PURs where wazers are trying to add a residence to the map, most are entering a place name and never realize that they should have tapped "This is a residential place".

   Next they are asked to select a category. Since there is no category for an RPP, they must choose the best from a list that isn't helpful for an RPP.

   Making matters worse, the first listed category is "Parking Lot" and again, based on the large volume of PURs for residences, it appears that most wazers select the first choice : "parking lot"

   Now more work is created for the Waze map editor because as long as the PUR says "parking lot" the option to "convert to residential/private address" is not available. so the editor must first remove the parking lot category before the place can be converted to an RPP.

   It would be much simpler and reduce workload for editors if the app just gave a wazer a much more clear path when all they wanted to do was add their home to the map.

   Instead of asking them for a name of the place, ask them if this is a residence or a business. Based on that answer alone, you should be able to much more completely simplify the wazer workflow and the editor work flow.

3. Apple Car play user interface

   Hi, I use Waze on a daily basics and we should make reporting easier. Currently there are lot of clicks user has to do in order to report something. I have a suggestion where each user can report issues with just one click.

   I have mock up a sample map but I don't see any place to upload the picture. if anyone respond to my email I can send it to you.

4. Waze upgrade and evolution

   Dear Waze Company,

   I am writing to you to propose the potential upgrade of Waze.

   The upgrade I am proposing is that each user has an emoticon or icon (emoticons, random small photos, or photos of the users and the car and number plate).

   The upgrade involves enabling interaction between users by touching the icon of the user on the screen, and then communicating freely by using a drop down menu allowing messaging or choosing from a menu of interactions such as emoticons or speech.

   User Upgrade:

   Face photo
   Name
   Gender
   Number plate
   Picture
   Emoticon

   Waze already has emoticons as a user, and uber uses car and number plate, car picture, number plate and photo. It seems that combining these already existing features into an upgrade for Waze could enhance its evolution.

   I am hoping this idea is useful to you, as there are plenty ideas that could follow from this idea and branch off.

5. problem!!!!Missing Section Controll Speed cameras !

   In a lot of European countries you have speed-control via section-control, means:
   the avgerage speed is measured of a certain distance by taking picture of car when entering and leaving the measuring section.
   Unfortunatly currently you can not warn other users of such controls.
   On contrary, such controls are only posted as stationary speed-control when entering, which is very misleading

   I drive every day Germany swiss...500+ miles track . ( I deliver pockets)
   I dont know why but the waze app doesnt sows for you the speed cameras / radars in swiss ,also no option to add this to the map !
   This section controlled track are not Fix! The speed limit changes according to the corrent situation. Thats mean if there is an accident or road works they reduce the speed limit ,from 120- to 80...Also the radars and cameras are swiched to the corrent speed limit...So its can be that yesterday the road was ok ,and good ,and was allowed 100 or 120 ,but next day there is road work so they cange the speed limit to 60...and also the rtadars shoothing at 60+ ...Its a mean thing. Other wazers need to be informed abouth this !

6. When gps signal is offline, automaticallly switch to a list of the 10 next steps, and the possibility to check them

   When GPS signal is lost, especially when in tunnels for like 10 kilometers (like in Paris La Défense highway) currently there is some issues that could be better dealt with I think :
   - GPS is stuck on only the next itinerary change when signal is lost. So if you ride for 10 kilometers in a tunnel and the next change is in 4, you don't know what to do after that.
   - Arrival time gets delayed as long as signal is lost.

   I think it would be better, when GPS signal is lost for more than X seconds, to switch to a different mode, close to the "list mode", as the map gets useless pretty quickly, especially in a jam, where the approximate position is irrelevant.

   It would be way more useful to have a list of the 10 next changes (with a picture of the type of change), with approximate time and distance, and be able to check them one by one when you get past them, to keep the itinerary clear and the arrival time almost up to date.

7. Place Updates and Approvals with Chat

   We chat with users that send URs.
   It will be helpful to chat to users that add places or update places with info and or pictures.
   I have found myself having to make a judgement call on accepting or rejecting places based on information that is unclear.
   It would be nice if we could ask for clarification.

8. Car pointer is in the other side of the screen

   The problem is that when i use Waze on my car multimedia which is android, the pointer of the car is located on the right of the screen and on the left there is the search bar, I was trying to hide the search bar so the pointer is more in the center of the screen but could't find a solution. Its very inconvenient when you drive a left wheel drive vehicle and the pointer is on the passanger side. Hope you find a solution. I can share a picture if you need it, thanks!

9. I love Waze! Yet a suggestion

   It would be wonderful if there was a way when that route picture pops up with traffic or other road blocks to know "where" in the commute it was exactly. Currently, I run through the whole trip to see where the warnings are located. However, if there is a way when you see the written version of the route to touch it to see if that part of the trip is clear or has warnings. Or if you touched on each road a list of where those warnings are popped up with more location detail. I realize you have pop ups where it list all traffic or other warnings. But it should connect to the users given requested trip. That would be so very helpful! Thanks!

10. Add a traffic bar to map

    Have a "Traffic Bar" that appear in the routes screen overlayed on the main map.
    add a car to the bar that moves along with your journeys completion.
    So when you are 85 percent home, the car has moved 85 percent up the bar.

    Also when the Bar-Car (Maybe we should think of a better name) gets near an event an audible alert gets triggered, like when you near a Cop it could say “Oh cock, its the Rozzers!” Or just “Police reported ahead”) Or when you are near a obstacle on road you could be warned – e.g. “Johnny reported a car has stopped on the shoulder 20 minutes ago.” This way you can keep your eyes on the road instead of having to look at the screen to see what’s ahead.

    The bar information would be dynamic – if traffic started building up ahead another section of the bar would change colour depending on the conditions.

    Having the bar would make the app safer to it users, because you would have all warning along the route in one predictable place. Unlike the current situation where you have to zoom in and out to see what conditions are like for a entire route.

    Having the bar would make the app smarter, because you would get all road information sooner. Having this information right on the bar makes for better decision making by the driver, again because all the information is visible right from the start.

11. Incorporate Junction Views, ie, pictures of ramps and turns to allow quick identification of which ramp/junction to turn

    Have photos of junctions/ramps/turn offs pop out or have a split screen to view on coming turns at multiple junctions with arrows pointing to the route being navigated

12. Feature Suggestion: Estimated Time for Each Step in Navigation

    Currently, Waze shows the distance for each turn or road segment in the “Next Turns” list. It would be very helpful if, along with the distance, the estimated time to cover each segment was also displayed. For example:

    600 m, Modarres Expy → 2 minutes

    2.1 km, Resalat Tunnel → 3 minutes

    This way, drivers can better understand how much time they will spend in each part of the trip and anticipate which segments might have more traffic or delays. It gives a clearer picture of the journey beyond just distances.

    I believe this addition would provide users with a stronger sense of control and awareness while driving.

    Some Update Requests (UR) require a visit to the place in order to verify, or even take pictures.
    I'd like an option in the app that acts as a reminder, when I'm driving near one of this UR that I follow. Waze could show them on the map, with an optional notification. Then, if I have spare time, I could take some minutes in order to solve the UR.

    Nothing to do with your friends friday night?
    Game mode on wazer will change video games in real life.
    Ideas are there, the base of the game is there, we just need to create it.

    Game #1 Cat and mouse
    4 players, 2 wazers, 2 cars
    (2 drivers, 2 co-drivers)
    Intro:
    The goal of the cat's team is to find the other team (mouse) in the city. Each teams can find power in the streets (change candies in power). The mouse try to escape the cat in the city (folowing speeds limits) but don't know where it is. Mouse team only know that cat team are at (example: 3 streets left). But cat team know exactly where the other team is. To win at this game, the co-driver of the cat's team only have to press buton: I see you or take a photo.
    More:
    Now, the fun of the game begin and the co-drivers plays.
    The cat team can find power on streets (like candy for now) to slow the opposite team:
    When the cat find this power in the city, the other team have 60 seconds to find a spot to stop the car completly while 30 seconds. If they can't, they loose.
    The mouse's team can find power like this too:
    -1) The other team can't see them in the map while 60 seconds.
    -2) The other team only know your distance while 60 seconds.
    -3) The other team can only see you without the map.
    -4) Hologram mode. The other team see three mouse in the map. The real and two false who take differents way. (while 2-3 min.)
    Finaly:
    Before playing, the players delimit a space to play. If somone leave the territory, they loose.
    While playing, the other wazers can help to find the mouse when they enter in the game space and want to find the car. They have a picture and descrtiption of the car.
    To press button: I see you, you need to be at less than 100m of the mouse.

15. police alert when they take pictures from a bridge

    In my country we have police officers standing on bridges and take photos of ppl on their phones while driving.
    An option to report and alert other drivers will make the driver stop being on their phone faster.

16. Would like report icons to display when zoomed out further.

    In v4.0, the minimum distance for icons to display has been reduced considerably from in v3.9. It is cleaner, which may be what you were going for, since a big design trend today is minimalism, but it comes with a loss in user experience.

    As a user, I'd like to be able to see all report icons along my entire commute or a large part of at once, in order to minimize the amount if panning at a closer zoom, to easily hold the state of the entire route in working memory, and to easily compare alternate routes.

    Currently in v4.0, I need to zoom in to a small region to get the icons to show. Then I need to pan, pan, pan many times down the route to get the whole picture. This loses the forest for the trees. It is harder and more time consuming to evaluate the route. Also, excessive panning isn't something you want to be doing while behind the wheel. v3.9's minimum distance for icon pop in was greater, and seemed to work better for these purposes.

    v4.0 does have the colored dots, but these are easy to overlook and do not connote enough information nor do I find myself remembering what each color means.

    Perhaps an easy way to address this would be to add a setting to set the minimum distance for icon pop in.

    In v4.0, the minimum distance for icons to display has been reduced considerably from in v3.9. It is cleaner, which may be what you were going for, since a big design trend today is minimalism, but it comes with a loss in user experience.

    As a user, I'd like to be able to see all report icons along my entire commute or a large part of at once, in order to minimize the amount if panning at a closer zoom, to easily hold the state of the entire route in working memory, and to easily compare alternate routes.

17. Option to disable road ahead for users with Android Auto or Car Play

    During my reports I received one complaint that a user who doesn't use the Waze app directly cannot cancel out Waze recalculating them back on the main road, if there was an ability to quickly x out a road ahead as one of the choosable icons on the screen (Maybe an icon with a picture of a crossed out road which will tell Waze that the next segment is not an allowable route and should be recalculated), that may be safer and more preferred to give users with Android Auto and Car Play an option so that they don't have to continue to be redirected back to a road that is closed and have no other choice but to send a Turn Not Allowed report that cannot be dealt with in time anyway.

18. Subscription for more content

    Here is my idea and I would hope if this ever got approved I would be included in the profits anyways

    Have a subscription based add on that has special features for car enthusiasts for £1.99 a month
    1. Add friends and be able to see them on your map if they are near by
    2. Friend can create groups for road trips and meets so that you can see set destinations together aswell as set group pins as a destination if they have found somewhere cool to go
    3. Have a road tracker bit like a video game where you unlock streets as you drive over them with a leaderboard for friends to see who has driving on the most ( creates more data for you)
    4. Work with car company’s to allow actually vehicle images as your Waze picture then allows the car company’s to buy back the data on what cars people have

    With nearly 140 million users if only 1% bought into this that’s 2.5 million a month plus the extra revenue from data collection if you want more information don’t hesitate to email me

    stupid developers of waze is real assholes simply because the app developed for wasting lots of users times in installing the fucking app where ended up giving up and uninstall it for good.
    my experience is once i logout and will never get back to what i had earlier.
    the fucking verification is wasting lots of time.
    just to add-in the profile picture took more than 3 hours but to no avail and gave up eventually.
    the user name that i have had tried for days and still cannot get back my old user name. the stupid fucking app keeping suggesting the fucking names that you don't like.
    these are all the true scenarios that i actually faced and experienced.
    i sincerely hope that there will be other developers to develop something user friendly apps to replace waze and just let this app die off soon i hope.

20. Hey guys, what if you can upload a photo or a 10 seconds traffic situation where you at right now so people can see it.

    I have this idea so people can share what they are experiencing right now on the road through either pictures or a 10 seconds video and that video is pinned on the map where it was taken because sometimes in my personal experience waze takes time to update its traffic highlights situations.
