  1. Problem pushing directions bluetooth from android to car speakers

    Waze has been my fav for a long time because it pushed spoken directions from all my iPhones to the car speakers via bluetooth. It seemed to do this by tricking my radio (Kenwood) into thinking a call was coming through. Pretty crafty. But since the latest iPhone update that messed up other things regarding bluetooth, Ive gotten an android phone. Now the waze app on android won't push spoken directions to the car speakers when the radio is set on (radio). It seems like a big safety issue since when in the car its hard to hear…

  3. Disable Bluetooth usage in app. I use Bluetooth as a care phone, but listen to the radio.

    I use the Bluetooth for car phone use, but listen to the radio. Because you can't turn off Bluetooth use in waze, it runs silent because it's trying to alert you by Bluetooth.. a setting for Bluetooth use within the app would be helpful..

  4. Option to use Bluetooth HSP or A2DP

    Waze uses bluetooth A2DP for navifation instructions. But a lot of car sets only uses bluetooth HSP. There are apps that convert A2DP to HSP but these apps always mute the car radio. So it would be great, if Waze can send navidation instructions via HSP to a bluetooth car set. So it will mute the radio, give the navigation instruction and then unmute the radio. I think that would be a big feature, cause google maps can't do this right now.

  5. Add the possiblility to use a bluetooth handsfree device

    In most of cars there is a telephone hands-free Bluetooth system integrated with the car audio system; it would be great to have the voice message from waze client to go to the Audio system via Bluetooth connection.

    Az utolsó IOS frissítéssel nem lehet beállítani, hogy a hangutasítások a bluetooth kihangosítón szóljanak. Minden beállítás ellenére csak a telefonon szólnak az utasítások.

  7. Waze bluetooth-Kopplung

    Mich stört an Waze, dass Waze sich im Auto zuerst mit meinem bluetooth Hörgerät verbindet und nicht mit den Auto Lausprechern.
    Um das zu korrigieren muss ich zuerst das winzige bluetooth-Symbol auf dem iPhone treffen, anschließend auf den Knopf Tonausgabe tippen, um dort die Senke auszuwählen. Das ist viel zu umständlich!
    Bitte verbessern!

    I'm dissapointed by Waze that ist couples in my car first with my new hearing aid and not with my cars loudspeakers. Trying to change this, I need to click on a too tiny bluetooth button, then to click on another button for adressing the sound…

  8. Play voice on device when bluetooth conected

    A good think to do on this app it's to have the choice of not playing audio on Bluetooth only because if the phone is connected to Bluetooth on the car and you listening radio that become a problem hearing waze voice .

  9. Automatically start/stop reporting on bluetooth connect/disconnect

    Please consider a settings option to report traffic only if exact bluetooth device (my car HF) is connected. This could be very useful feature to avoid false traffic reports.

    Settings:
    - Turn feature ON / OFF
    - Choose BT device

    Behaviour:
    - When exact bluetooth device is connected, wait until some ratelimit speed is reached (i.e. 30 kmh) and start reporting.
    - When bluetooth device is disconnected, automatically stop traffic reporting.

  10. using Bluetooth to update GPS devices

    I can see waze incident reports in Google maps. Why not use the Bluetooth link already established between some smartphone and GPS devices to update traffic data on the GPS device? My garmin already talks to an app on my android, I'd much rather waze data was picked-up and displayed on the device screen...

  11. Slow, buggy speech when using Bluetooth/Hands Free

    Waze's speech while using bluetooth is filled with long awkward pauses. Often, the speech is unable to complete saying the direction before the next speech event needs to occur. The pauses between speech events are excessively long. This problem only manifests itself when connected to bluetooth audio.

    Additionally, the speech is routed through "media player audio" instead of a voice command specific audio event. This means that the vehicle itself must be set to bluetooth audio music streaming rather than listening to the radio. Since the events turn on/off, the bluetooth media option is often unavailable and cannot be activated.

  13. Tunnel Navigation bluetooth OBDII

    Typically GPS signal is lost in long tunnels. Why not include a waze connection to a bluetooth enabled OBDII device in your car to give accurate speed. The direction is immaterial as the tunnel path is well known.The devices are cheap about $5 to $20 on ebay. Waze would benefit by knowing speed through tunnels. Yes, beacons are good, but not if they are sparsely placed.

  14. Change Vehicle profile by connected Bluetooth

    I am using my device for navigation by car and motorcycle and I regularly forget to change the vehicle type.
    I would love to have a feature that depending on what Bluetooth device is connected to the phone the vehicle type would be automatically set to the appropriate one.

  15. Sinds gisteren kan ik wase niet meer connecteren met Android auto.

    Sinds gisteren kan ik Waze auto niet meer connecteren met Android auto. Auto: Skoda enyaq, telefoon Android V 10.
    Bluetooth connectie werkt nog wel, opladen telefoon ook nog, dus het probleem schijnt softwateprobleem te zijn.

  19. Fix Bluetooth bug

    IPhone 6 voice guidance stops connecting to car's Bluetooth and cannot be restored or connects and interrupts audio with silence. Until this is fixed, the app is pretty useless. Worked for a week or 2 before it stopped. Deleted and reinstalled and it worked for about 30 minutes before quitting again. Is BMW in case that matters.

  20. Support ODB bluetooth dongles

    Allow the use of an ODB bluetooth dongle to get a number of improvements. These dongles are quite cheap and provide a wealth of extra data. Possible uses:

    Using the actual vehicle speed combined with compass, accelerometer and map matching it should be possible to have accurate positioning in tunnels/urban canyons. TomTom does this and is able to do near-perfect positioning with only one GPS datapoint every 30 minutes.
