  1. Look both ways when a road ends at a two-way road and you turn right

When driving on a road that ends in a two-lane road and you want to turn right, you usually only look to the left to see if a vehicle is approaching.
I think that in these cases, Waze should give a voice warning to check visually in both directions.
It may happen that on the right side a vehicle is overtaking another and the driver is doing so on the opposite lane, the lane you intend to enter.
The danger can increase if visibility is poor due to vegetation or other objects.

  2. Prior to freeway off ramp indicate if it will be a left or rignt at the end of the off ramp.

If prior to entering a freeway off ramp if Waze would indicate which off ramp lane you needed to be in it would better prepare you for the exit. Currently Waze will indicate if it is to be a left or right turn at the end of the off ramp but if you are in the wrong lane, you might not be able to get into the proper lane at that point.

  3. Hazards and notices divided by location first on visual representation

Median, left shoulder, lane 1, lane 2, ..., right shoulder, off road, all visually represented when "Notice" button pressed.

At-a-glance identification reduces number of options needed in following menu, without adding additional screen, by changing the order.

  4. advance direction when exiting a highway

When exiting the highway it would be SO helpful to announce the next direction much much earlier. For example, in ½ a mile, exit roselle road and stay to the right or stay to the left to exit. We have three plus lane exits and waze is telling me too late which lane to be in after exiting. Thanks!

  5. Earlier notice for blocked lanes

Why in the world do we only get .2 miles notice for an upcoming blocked lane? Everything else is half a mile. This is equally important for drivers to know as far in advance as possible.

  6. Have a quick log in that first responders can log in to list accidents lane closures and length of time of accident.

Give first responders a quick and easy way to log in and give details on lane closers and length of time lanes will be closed. This is for the safety of the motorist and the emergency personnel on scene. Would also help if we could look and see how far traffic is backed up.

  7. HOV lanes: Specifically on Long Island Expressway.

This is about the HOV lane on the Long Island Expressway in NY.

During off peak hours, Waze ALWAYS directs you into the HOV lane.
    1) The HOV is one lane as opposed to 3 or 4 lanes on the mail road. During off peak it's not usually faster.
2)The main problem with this, is when Waze "thinks" you're in the HOV, all notifications for Police, emergency vehicles, etc. stop unless someone in the HOV lane makes the report.

That even goes for when the Police are hiding on the left shoulder on the left of the HOV.

  8. Malaysian Accent for Malaysian Roads Please

Why not use Malaysian voices for Waze in Malaysia? Right now the female voice option I choose for Malaysia pronounces Jalan Sultan Ismail as "Juh-lane Sull Tonne Izz Mail" and it annoys me.

  10. Police traveling in unmarked cars

Add a feature for police traveling in unmarked cars in your lane. To warn wazers ahead of you within a certain speed radius. Not sure if that’s doable.

  12. Express Lanes - Avoid Express Lanes option

A nice feature would be a setting to avoid Express Lanes, like the ones on I95 (I-95) that require the EZ-Pass. Currently the only way to do this is to enable "Avoid Toll Roads." However this makes my route avoid the tunnel or bridge that I DO want to use. Avoiding the tunnel or bridge would add 20 or more minutes to my drive.
Basically, separate out the luxury Express Lanes from toll roads and create another setting for them.
    Thank you.

Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

  13. Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night

Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night on a two-lane road, 65 mph during the day on a two-lane road, and a maximum of 70 mph for any road. I would like to be able to put this in settings, so that Waze can come up with a better route and ETA for me. I do not like being sent down two-lane roads at night going 55 mph when I could be going down a highway at 67…

  14. Ghost driver alert

A new alert would be interesting to have to alert drivers on a specific route that a ghost driver is coming their way and that they should be cautious, maybe telling them to stay in a lane and to reduce their speed.

  15. Avoid express lanes

It would be nice to be able to turn off Express Lanes, with the same toggle switch as the "Avoid Toll Roads" option. I almost never have passengers in my car, and therefore cannot ever take the Express Lanes, but the app keeps directing me to them. Express Lanes also occasionally have different exiting options, so it can sometimes change your entire route and make you miss exits you needed to take.

  16. Names assigned recently for some existing public lanes by East York council in Toronto

I'm a collge journalist student. On September 16, 2019 the council approved to add names of people and other historical aspects of Toronto to some existing public lanes for people to easily navigate to and had 2 street closures..

I'll add the info here for the update but in return I would appreciate a quote for my article which really will help me graduate since I'm in my final year.

What is the process of getting you navigation system updated and how long will it take?

This is from the offical government website and each change has its own…

  18. Have option to shut off vehicle stopped on shoulder.

Vehicle stopped on shoulder alert comes up constantly. If you're on a highway, you shouldn't be driving on the shoulder or breakdown lane!!!
Have an option to shut off this alert...
    Or people, stop reporting it!!!!
Car stopped on road is another thing
