Commercial Trucking
It’s 2024 and many truck drivers are you biggest users. There are other apps but none have the community base, live updates, live events, updated closures. It’s time that truckers get the best of the best of driving apps. Garmin navigation is the biggest but are rarely updated and do not have LIVE updates. Truck drivers distort the measured speeds. If they were treated separately, WAZE would be much more accurate.
It may be that there's no interest in optimizing the app for vehicles over 3.5 tons, such as motorhomes, trucks, buses, and the like, but drivers of precisely these vehicles still use Waze because Waze is simply one of the best navigation apps. However, these typically much slower vehicles distort the average speeds of users determined by Waze, so it would certainly make the app much more accurate if users could enter their vehicle data, such as weight and size, so that the data can be assigned accordingly when collecting the returned data. Make car icon customizable
Make the little car icon on the screen while I'm navigating customizable. I'd like to be able to make it look like my car...starting with my car's color. You could have a small number of car types (truck, van, sedan, sports car), or a more elaborate library of make/model/year (I vote for 2010 Chevy Camaro!)

Accurate speed
When using Apple Car Play, my speed is continuously 12+mph over what I am actually doing. I can use the app on my phone just fine it’s accurate within + or - 2mph. I am confused as to why my truck displays such a difference. Brand new truck, brand new iPhone. All updates to apps and devices as required.

Put road length restrictions on Waze so overlength trucks will hopefully take an alternate route.
Can you put truck length restrictions on Waze so if an overlength trucker is using your app and is tempted to use a road with a length restriction they will hopefully take an alternate route?

Additional hazard icons
Add "Truck" as an additional hazard icon. I just saw an 18 wheeler last night entering the entrance to the North Bronx River Parkway just 100 feet from going under a low bridge.

Multiple vehicles
A quick way to toggle settings between two or more vehicles. When I drive my truck I use the expressways, I use alerts only, and diesel is preferred. When I ride my motorcycle I don't use expressways, I turn on navigation since my phone stays in my pocket, and premium gas is preferred. A way to save particular settings when toggling between private and motorcycle would be appreciated.

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

Limited varible speed switch
Have a limited speed switch that the user can select, ie truckers in Europe are limited to 56mph some even limited to 52mph to give a more accurate arrival time, like TT have in their devices, arrival time is way out on Waze at present for us truck drivers!

Separate the ability to show the posted speed limit from the speedometer.
Currently, the only way to see the posted speed limit, is to toggle on the speedometer. I’m a truck owner that keeps the speedometer toggled off, as the speed that is on my screen is 12 mph faster than I am actually driving. I don’t have the option to see the posted speed limit, because it is grayed out, unless you are “using” the speedometer.

Car icon personalization
Be able to change the colors of the vehicles because I love the pickup truck but the only color right now is pink, and I know it’s not a huge deal but I think it would be so much more fun if we could pick the vehicle type then change the color to whatever we would like!

Please consider adding large RV and trucks many routes have sharp turns and low bridges. You can charge $3 per month and gain hundreds of thousands of users. I’d happily promote this service for you

Pointer arrow options for different vehicles
Hi team! Love the app I have one suggestion for future update: with the current version we cannot change the blue car, can we get different arrow options to choose from? Maybe sports car, truck, spaceship, tractor, boat, police car, limo, Android auto arrow?

Report "Road closed": choose a certain segment of road ahead as closed
Marked my first closed road today when a truck was burning on the highway... it's really great that it's possible to notify others of road closures now!
But (there's always a but, isn't there?) it should be possible to mark a closure ahead, not right where I am. I marked it right when I left the highway, which only closed the little piece of highway between the off- and on-ramp. It was impossible to mark the highway after the on-ramp where the truck was burning as closed... :(

Always list how many turn lanes
As a truck driver and knowing there is no truck route option coming then at least posting how many lanes turn would be usefull. When I'm in an unfamiliar area I don't always know which lane to go to and as truckers need to turn from furthest lane and if we are in wrong lane it can cause MAJOR DELAYS AND DANGERS

Seperate speed limit warning for each vehicle type
Hi Waze team,
I have used Waze while driving motorcycle. But in my opinion, it would be good if we can separate the speed limit for each vehicle type because the speed limit may be different with cars on some roads. Maybe it's a good development route for supporting another type of vehicle like truck for example8 votes -
