  1. Current Speed limit

    show the Current speed limit in the UI. also, add option to get notified whenever my driving speed is X km/h above the limit. (the users will set it)

  2. Enhance speed display color scheme

    It would be easier to assess speed with more informative color coding:

    White = below speed limit
    Green = speed limit
    Yellow = between speed limit and user-defined "when to show alert" speed
    Red = exceeding user-defined "when to show alert" speed

    Keep current warning with briefly displayed larger speed limit reminder

    Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

  3. Recent change, now difficult to report speed limit corrections

    Due to semi recent change of reporting UI, I find it very difficult to report corrections to speed limits.

  4. Time to destination/speed

    While I do like coolwalk better then the previous version, I don't understand why you don't copy and paste the phone version of Waze. As someone who commutes almost 150 miles a day, the time to destination was most useful. I could tell how much traffic there was by the time to destination. Now it was replaced with toll pricing, which is not even accurate. Speed and speed limit need to be on the drivers side and also as a colorblind person, the red over black is even more difficult to see in addition to the font being incredibly small.…

  5. Advanced speed options

    Speed options based on vehicle type for UK
    Eg. Speed for goods vehicles are different in the UK to normal vehicles.

    Would definitely help avoid unneeded speeding tickets.

  6. Speed Bumps

    I will suggest the inclusion of speed reducers commonly used in Brazil, called "lombadas" or "quebra-molas" (speed bumps). These elements are rarely well signposted.
    Are a ridge set in a road surface, for purposes to make drivers to reduce speed.

  7. Add speed limit near the camera icon

    Since all cameras have static speed limit, it would be great to extend camera icon to contain information about speed limit(like current icon + 50/70/110 or another number). This will help driver to understand limit much earlier before camera and correctly choose speed without fast braking, so this will improve safety on roads

  8. Enable audio alert for speed cams regardless of the speed.

    Waze currently only triggers audio alerts about speed cams when the driver is above the speed limit of the specific cam.

    Since the speed detection on Waze is very flawed (at least here in Brazil/Rio de Janeiro), and not all cams have their speed limit properly set, it would be MUCH better if Waze triggered it's audible alert for speed cams independently of the fact that the driver may be above or below the limit of the cam.

  9. Speed Limit Correction | Help Improve Waze – Allow Speed Limit Feedback Again

    I believe it would be very helpful to bring back the feature that allowed users to suggest corrections to the speed limit shown in the app. This function used to be available, and I would often use it to report inaccurate speed limits on certain roads. However, it was removed a few years ago, and there is currently no easy way to suggest corrections directly through the app.

    Restoring this feature would greatly improve the accuracy of navigation and benefit all users by keeping speed limit data up to date. Please consider reintroducing this option within the app.

  10. Make speed limit larger on apple carplay

    I have read the responses to this issue. It seems to be a bot responding as:

    Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already displays a speedometer, including both your driving speed and the speed limit for the road you’re currently on.

    That is NOT the issue. Just remove the speedometer and make the speed limit LARGER. Like it appears on Google Maps, which owns Waze.

  11. Alerts based on time

    You should calculate how far or how long a Alert stays on the screen based on your speed because if something is a mile away and you're traveling miles an hour config one hour to get to especially if the traffic jam so if you could display something which is like a minute away they sometime be about the much better use of the screen space because something is staying there

  12. My Ford navigation system shows the posted speed limits as I drive through them. It would be nice if WAZE could do that!

  13. Reduced Speed Limit

    New feature of showing speed limit is almost useless in the United Kingdom because it only shows:
    - Where speed changes from 70 to 40, 30 or 20
    - Where speed changes from 60 to 30 or 20
    - Where speed changes from 50 to 20.

    UK Goverment Guidance of 2024 gives instructions on transitional limits, where a short length of 40mph or 50mph is used between a national limit and another length on which a lower limit is in force, with 600m or more if possible (with allowances for 400m and 300m in some critera)

  14. More obnoxious speed limit warning

    Sound when exceeding speed limit by set amount is a great option, but very easy to miss the warning. Instead of a short beep, Please add an option to select the sound, option to repeat sound until under set speed overage, and a flashing screen or other obnoxious ongoing visual warning. This would have saved me a ticket and be very beneficial as no other app does this.

  15. Speed limit multiple beeps for alerts when speed limit is exceeded.

  16. Speed limit/autovelox notification when screen off

    It would be great to have a speed limit notification and autovelox with a big pop up (like the speed limit signal 50 km/h) even when the screen is off. Often when the smartphone is connected with bluetooth I cannot hear the speed limit alarm. I'll be always aware of the speed limit and autovelox on my route saving battery!

  18. Sounds Alerts under the limits

    Activate again the setting to have sound alerts also under the speed limits, I use waze with my motorbike, and I need to be concentrate to the ridin and I can't see every time the red visual alert on the display.
    If I'm ready for a overtake, I can risk to don't see the speed alert

    Hello,
    sorry, my english is not perfect neither google translator
    may I suggest an option:
    Is it possible for waze to inform the driver that there is a speed limit of yy km/h at xxx meters like that waze inform there is a roundabout at xxx meters
    this would allow the driver to gradually reduce its speed by releasing the gas pedal rather than braking when the pannel is seen and thus allow to reduce the consumption of the vehicle
