Update online help re:Using your personal address book contacts to navigate (for iOS)
Current online forum help does not accurately describe how to enable Waze to access your personal address book contacts to navigate (for iOS). After some back/forth with Waze staff I was able to find how to do so.
To enable Waze to access your personal address book for iPhone
- Ensure you are logged into Waze under the “settings” section
- Open up Waze and press “search”
- Press “Where To?” And it will take you to the next “Where to” screen that shows “Talk to Waze” and “Favorites” below the search bar.

App starts in dashboard menu
It would be useful if the app, once opened, went to a dashboard or menu which allows selection of one of many options. Currently it opens right to the map and suggests where I might be going based on previous habits. I would rather have that option available along with other options such as a general search, favorites, home, work, gas, etc. This could easily be done with 6 or so large icons to keep the screen clean. Improve "forgot username or password" process
I upgraded to a new phone. Forgot my username & password but the entire existing process is circular. Put in my phone number (didn't receive a text w/in 24 hours). Put in my email address (didn't receive an email w/in 24 hours). I charged & started my old phone to get my username. Once I retrieved it and put it into the new phone I received a verification code via text. I used that code and then added my full name - and I was given a new user name which I did not choose. There is possibility to chosse your favorite fuel - but we drive on CNG and there is no way to configure this. Can you please provide this?

There should also be the possibility to choose a route with the CNG filling stations on the way because this is a specific fuel and thus not easy to find... this would be a terrific improvement!21 votesCurrently Waze app supports 4 fuel types. Hide “Work” shortcut in CarPlay when not set
When selecting the magnifying glass for an address in Waze on CarPlay, the first two options are the Home and Work shortcuts/favorites, which appear regardless if they have been setup in the app or not. This request is to hide either or both if there is not an address assigned (or have an option to hide them altogether).

Place custom pins on the map
I like the home and work pin on the map but I want to be able to toggle a pin on or off for ANY location I have saved in my favorites and I want them to show on car play screens as well.

I need to use waze on two devices simultaniously. I dont care about collecting points, I care about sharing waze setup, favorites, destinations, etc.

Adding addresses needs to be user friendly
When adding an address to "Favorites" it's almost impossible. Once you type in the address, there is not "Add" button only "Back and "Close". I tried to follow the instructions it says to touch to add and I add the address and nothing happens. Impossible to add "Home" or "Work". Frustrated.

Enter favorite locations using site/app (more than 1.000 miles away)
Next month my family and I are going to Cancun for vacation and I wanted to be prepared and start entering destination points as favorites into my app to be ready for my trip. I realized I cannot do this through my app because I am more than 1000 miles away and this option is not available on the website that could make things way easier for planners like me.

To be able to see favorites (gas stations, businesses) enroute to a destination.
You're on a trip and you'd like to stop for coffee or gas at a favourite company on the way to a destination but you don't want to see locations behind you or out of the way.

Starbucks or other fav chain on my way?
It would be great of you could add a store, restaurant, or other chain name (Starbucks!!) to a list of favorite stops so that try show up along pr near your route!!!

Final destination announcement/display.
When using a favorite or getting an address from a calendar event, it is often difficult to know exactly where the destination is. without having the full address displayed upon arrival. Rather than saying "You have arrived at your destination," it would be better to say "You have arrived at 3478 NW XX st.

food-truck locations
Living in a big city with lots of major events, it would be great to be able to see what food-trucks are available at events or where your favorite food-truck is located (this would required some sort of GPS tracking option for the food-truck when it is operational).

Speed limit on Android Auto
Thanks for finally making Waze available on Android Auto but you left out the speed limit and it is one of my favorite features. It's especially helpful in rural areas where speed limit signs are few and far between and it makes it easy for law enforcement to set up speed traps.
