re-route based on upcoming traffic conditions / congestions
While waze does show upcoming traffic condition on one's route it does not provide facility to automatically re-route the traveler around traffic congestion using surface streets or alternate highway/freeway.
This is essential to optimizing waypoint ordering/priority:
This ought be available in other-than a binary toggle (yes or no). While yes and no are suitable broad options, waze ought provider finer grained control of re-routing as it does now (faster or shorter). These should include
(1) time windows
(2) zones / areas
(3) specific roads / highways / freeways
(4) density of other Wazers
(5) using either / both…

Add route style 'safe and simple' & 'eco-drive'
Selecting 'safe and simple' route will navigate you with safe wide roads without to many small cuves and turns. It might nog be the fastest of shortest but will avoid danger. Selecting 'eco-drive' caculates the most environmental friendly route and minimizes fuel consumption and pollution, just add you car and engine type in the settings menu and Waze will calculate your eco-ride.

Route from other location + display and zoom the entire route
I miss a Waze feature to plan a road trip from other location than I'm currently at. This would come very handy to familiarize myself with the actual route offered and better know its nuances. I also miss inability of Waze to display the entire route possibly zooming at its details in order to better know the actual route I am being sent through.

Clean Favorite's Route
It'd be great if we could "clean" out history of favorites routes.
Sometimes we need that the system creates a new route because the traffic became inviable through that favorite route, but the system doesn't consider this option.2 votes -

I know of a road closure near my home which is not showing in Waze, but I only seem able to report a problem when near by & on an active route

Route Storage
I would love to be able to specify what route I want to take and then be able to store that route.
I have found a route that takes about the same amount of time but is far easier to drive specially in the dark.

Calculate fuel consumption and show cost of the route
It would be great to be able to enter the average fuel consumption for certain speeds for your vehicle and then while calculating show also the cost of the route. It can be calculated by known speeds on the road, the need to stop and go on traffic lights, the overall profile of the route. There is an iPhone app that can serve as an inspiration - http://drivegain.com

Show factors that impact route prediction.
Show factors that impact route prediction.
Example: New Orleans has many closures during Mardi Gras season.
I had Waze show route to a Burger King that I knew would be impacted by closures. The pre-route screen did not show any information that would hint to the problem.
The route did come up as expected that was far from a direct route.
Then checking the map in Waze, it did show the many closures that the route page did not.Waze should show closures, traffic, Hazzard Reports and anything else that would impact the route.

Notify if place is closed when starting a route
Google Maps will notify you when you begin a route if the place you are going to is closed. Can this function be added to Waze?

Route nickname
Allow people to give names to their usual routes. I travel the same back and forth to work and use waze to determine which is faster. There are only 3 basic routes, and it would be great if I could chose a route and call it as I do in real life "front way', 'back way', 'side streets' etc, so I know easily which is which

Signal deviation from "normal" work-home route
So I am using Waze mostly for avoiding traffic going to and from work, I suppose like most people. It would be helpful to have a feature where it gives an audible alert if it is plotting a course that is different from the "normal" one to avoid traffic. I imagine this could work by determining the best route assuming no significant traffic, and giving an alert if it is plotting a different course than that. Same thing goes for changes in mid-course due to accidents, jams, etc., that occur after I start. Normal navigation announcements aren't too useful on…

Optional Route Preview
The recent addition of a route preview that can NOT be turned off needs to be removed. I went from being able to efficiently go from place to place as a driver to having to stop and navigate my way through a maze of "here's this route over view. Here's that overview." If I want or need a new route, I'll go find one. Like I always did. At the very least, give us the option to turn that off. It's a waste of time.

Direct route
Provide a direct route, instead of having WAZE want me to take four different exits,travelling South to Tacoma, WA. from Everett, WA. These four exits were mentioned before Seattle.

Location based and on route reminders
Often when I'm going somewhere I need to remember to take something with me, eg, a hand-me-down for my nephews when I visit my sister. But I always forget! Can Waze allow us to add reminders to specific destinations and remind us to bring the items when we put that destination into Waze.
Even better would be if Waze reminded us to bring all items we can drop off on any route we enter. eg, I'm heading to my sisters so Waze reminds me to bring the hand-me-down as above but the app also reminds me to take the recycling…

Easiest Drive Route
There should be a choice of the easiest or safest drive route as determined by an logarithm. Ie less intersections, less bends

waze "loses server" departing for destination, drops route, still has destination, no way to get back to route, forgets the route

Toggle for route style
It would be nice to have a feature to toggle routing styles when selecting a route.

Automatic Multiple Stop Route Optimization
Lets say I want to stop by 8 tourist locations in Washington, DC but because I am new to the area I will have no idea how to route myself optimally....so it would be awesome if I could just put in the location addresses or names and have WAZE optimize my stops to be most efficient and effective.
Now that would be an awesome travel tool! Heck it might even work for pizza delivery guys too! ;)

This idea has been being discussed for a while and recognized as an important user request.
We hear the community’s voice and would like to share that while we can’t currently commit to a timeline, we do have plans to create a way to add more than one stop pre-drive.
