  1. Offline Maps

    For me can be useful to have possibility to download offline area maps. Can be made when you're planning to go in another country without mobile data coverage or when you've issue on mobile data.

  2. I suggest making the app works with offline maps.

  3. Needs PIP mode, saved/offline maps, and no Cancel/Shutdown

    Waze is honestly better than Google Maps.
    But with a few improvements, it can become the perfect navigation app:

    PIP (Picture-in-Picture) mode:
    When I minimize the app, the map should stay visible in a small floating window. Right now it disappears during multitasking, which is inconvenient.

    Saved / Offline Maps:
    There should be an option to download and save maps for your region. This is very helpful in low-signal areas.

    Back button behaviour:
    It should not ask “Cancel” or “Shutdown App” when we press the Back button. It interrupts the navigation experience.

  4. Waze having offline capabilities, just like Google maps

    Simple Waze having offline capabilities just like Google maps... Many other out there including mines many of us dnt have Online capabilities that much just cnt afford and I have done my research it not a lot people use WAZE the only difference now Waze as cloud source platforms in sense online capabilities to inform people about there surroundings traffic report, accident etc.. which Google maps is now taking way piece by piece... It ridiculous for people if them want use Waze offline you have to be online first then download a particular part maps for navigation offline,…

  6. Dashcam and offline navigation

    An offline navigation feature along with dashcam, offline as in Google Maps or Sygic to ensure that people with limited data can save it and Dashcam to ensure a piece of evidence in case of any untoward incident

  9. Floating map like google maps

    It would be so much easier for work. I am currently working as a driver. Waze has way better routes than Google maps but the downside is that I have to close the navigation if I want to check my work app. Unfortunately because of this inconvenience I'm forced to use Google maps.

  10. Re-attempt to connect to mobile/wifi signal after starting on offline map

    When a car is parked in underground carpark with no mobile phone signal, Waze will use the offline map with no traffic information However it does not re-attempt to connect to mobile signal/wifi after a minute or two when the car is out in open air, and it continues the whole journal on offline map. Please enable a function to re-try connecting to phone signal via CarPlay

  11. Add mile markers to client maps

    I travel on a lot of open stretches and would like to see an option for mile markers on waze maps. If no per mile, maybe every 5 miles or so. Good to sync the maps and also nice if someone were to need assistance along a desolate road with no references. In which case, you could scroll along the map to see which mile marker you were closest to.

  12. Combine waze and google maps

    It would be better to allocate servers for long trips as well. It would make Waze better. Also, why not incorporate the waze reporting and crowdsourcing features into Google maps?  I would even pay a monthly subscription for that.

    Since Waze is now linked to Google Maps, it would be great if I could transfer a planned route from Google Maps with multiple stops to my Waze app.

  16. Improve compatibility with google maps

    As a frequent traveler, I always go to places where I quote at the wholesale price. I usually save these places in Google Maps. Since Waze does not have this option to save places. I would like to share the location from Google Maps to Waze. But the links of these applications are not compatible. Please improve the compatibility of these 2 great applications. I would like for now that Waze is able to recognize Google Maps coordinate links

  18. Different types of maps

    I use Waze from a lot of time and I really like it, but it would be better if it had more kinds of maps other than the normal and the map editor one (like satellite maps and maps that show various conditions) like on Google Maps.

  19. Use another source for the maps (other than google maps)

    I see that for some,the fun in waze is making and editing the map, thats cool. but in the area im in, there arent many users of waze, and there are a lot of streets. and there have been times (infact every time so far) where i have set a destination, only for it to not be found.

    Some apps (mapquest) use openstreetmap maps (http://openstreetmaps.org). Do their terms of service fit better with waze terms of service?

    as i understand it, that is why google maps arent used as a base.

  20. I need a couple of questions answered and can't get to a support person.

    I'm having a couple of issues:
    - sometimes I get no voice directions in the car, other times it works fine.
    - I'm seeing a box in the map screen that shows 'Using offline maps". What's this mean and how can I erase it?
