Look on map events from Report ahead list
It would be useful if you can see on map events listed in Report ahead. Let say you are driving and you notice some traffic jam ahead so you just select that event and it shows on map where you can decide if you change your way or stay.

"Workers on road side"
Can you add a "workers on side of road" choice under "hazard"? Often times when I'm driving I see workers on the side of the road mowing grass or something like that. I would like to have the ability to warn other drivers that there are people in close proximity to the road / work going on that's not exactly on the road.

The map should be able to display on the phone, even if CarPlay is active
Please can there be the option of keeping navigation running on the phone screen, even if CarPlay is enabled. CarPlay Display Units are often down low (where car radios used to be), and looking at that as your satnav is dangerous and distracting. Keeping the map on the phone will enable safer driving and a happier Apple and Waze customer base

Erase the path behind you.
When in a route, sometimes the path behind you get mixed with the path you are following. The path behind you should not be marked or it should be erased as you drive.

Notificatiosn need to be posted earlier in time to compensate for people who drive 70-80 mph on highway. That equates to almost a half mile
I will constantly get notifications after I have encountered them. Police, object on road, pothole, etc. Your system needs to make the adjustment for highway speed vehicles. At 80mph a half mile can go by in the 20 seconds it may take to post a notification. That is more than the length of time you offer the notifications...

Show and say the next action before the gps signal lost in tunel
I'm living in a country where lot of tunnel on the road. I all the time facing the problem where I have no time to change the lane at the exit of the tunnel, because the signal lost in the tunnel, and when the device lock the signal again there not enough time to take the action.
It would be nice to warn the user "you driving into the tunnel at the tunnel exit keep left" or something similar.

Separate toggles for Toll Bridges and Express Lanes
Please add an option to avoid Express Lanes while still using Toll Bridges.
The HOV lanes in my area are being converted to Express Lanes that charge excessive tolls (closing in on $10) to use them. I refuse to drive in them. However, it's necessary for me to cross toll bridges to get to work (avoiding them will add an hour to my commute). If I tell Waze to avoid tolls, I avoid the Express Lanes AND the Toll Bridges, which is terrible.
Separating the 'Toll' toggle into 'Toll Bridges' and 'Express Lanes' would be very helpful.16 votes -
Police reporting needs to be switched back
The police reporting system needs to be switched back. Driving along the interstate, I frequently report police sitting on the opposite side of the road. I also report police sitting in the median checking for speeders both ways. The "other side" button needs to return.

Fix speed icons size and location on screen.
Speed icons are way too small to see. Countries that drive on right side move icons to left side of screen. Know problem for years. Please fix.

Local driving instructions without highways
Instead of always giving directions using highways, you should investigate methods using "back ways", meaning using local streets as some people don't like to go in highways. Also, when directions are given, please give FULL instructions, not just show an arrow pointed to the right or left without mentioning on what road to make that turn.

Speed alerts ,audio speed changes,school zones
…I use Waze to help give me audio alert when I go over the speed limit. Only thing is that it only alerts you one time and if you go over the speed limit again it will not alert you. I would find it very beneficial but it alerts you every time you go over the speed limit. I would also would like to have school zones added and alerted. And possibly have speed limit decrease to 20 mph when school zones are active with audio alerts. I live in a very small town and is known to have speed31 votes -

Hi, I would like to make a suggestion for us waizers that will be very helpful. Perhaps you can add a choice to click on police report that is in the screen so that we just press on it instead of going to Reports then choosing police and then sending it. Please take in consideration that we are driving and most Likely can't stop and enter report and that by the time we enter the report we are ways further from the area we saw the police. Show/Notify UR that I follow (optional) - Mostrar/Notificar UR que sigo (opcional)
(Optional feature, just for active editors)
Some Update Requests (UR) require a visit to the place in order to verify, or even take pictures.
I'd like an option in the app that acts as a reminder, when I'm driving near one of this UR that I follow. Waze could show them on the map, with an optional notification. Then, if I have spare time, I could take some minutes in order to solve the UR.

Fake Police Reports
If you have less than a 50% accuracy with your police reports you should get banned.
Also, you should not be able to place multiple police within a couple of miles of each other.
The state police in NJ and IL are causing more traffic and accidents because they are putting in false reports and setting up a speed trap a mile down the road. People are varying the speeds and it is a nightmare to drive with.
If this is not fixed I will find another GPS alternative.

Rest area icons and an Altimeter
I use Waze literally every time I get in my vehicle. For both local driving and road trips. It would be awesome to have an altimeter on the screen and to have it show rest areas on the map. Maybe in map editing if we could add rest areas and other places with restrooms to the maps that would be great and a major help for travelers.

Display unique symbols for hazards reported on the road
At the moment, you have to click on the Hazard symbol to actually know what the hazard is. And as people alway report vehicles stopped on the hard shoulder as being a hazard, its hard to know what action to take when driving unless you know what the hazard ahead is. It is also dangerous to have to click on the small hazard symbol whilst driving. So why not have different symbols for different hazards?
