Elevation on map screen
Add elevation to the main screen, perhaps as an option like having the speedometer.
Not sure if it is possible, but I assume it is, as my old Garmin gps could do it.

GPS coordinates
It would be great to have a GPS dashboard panel, displaying in the same screen:
- Longitude, Latitude & Elevation
- Velocity
- GPS status (fixed, not fixed, ...)
- Signal's strength
- CompassSomething like this picture: http://i49.tinypic.com/15chxqc.png

Add divided street option
Waze doesn't differentiate when a street has a median that blocks the ability to get to a destination. Add another option similar to elevation or direction but that requires Waze to navigate to the other driving direction for the street. This would allow editors to update Waze streets without having to split them for the same functionality.

Display bridges on top instead of higher road type
Currently in the app if a bridge goes over a higher road type, it makes it seem the higher road type actually goes over the bridge. This should not be correct as it makes the map look incorrect. A segment that has been mapped as a higher elevation should be displayed above any other segment.
Example for this interchange:

Tsunami directions
At a Tsunami emergency Waze can assist by giving directions the the nearest higher ground.
Today there are also known routs for those cases so even without elevation Waze can just allow her users to learn add to the system a tsunami escape way for future use at an emergency.2 votes -
Fun route options
The app can give a route suggestion for more economical fuel use by showing a leaf on the route when selecting which route to take. My suggestion is to have a "fun route" option that can have a symbol associated with it that focuses on fun roads, curvy, elevation changes, etc. for those who want a fun drive and care less about fuel economy or fastest route.

Buttons for separated elevated road
Add buttons which asks user where did the user go like in Philippines skyway(separated elevated road) and SLEX which is underneath it and reroute the navigation accordingly.

Alternative Warnings for Rural/Country areas
I live in upstate NY where there aren't always enough wazers to report issues that might be there. I was thinking it would be really nice if there would be a way to make known problem areas? For example:
-There is a known speed trap on my way to work but not enough wazers pass through the area to mark a cop if he's there. What if there was an option to place "known speedtrap" warnings so that even if no one has tagged the spot, the prevalence of cop presence would justify the warning even if there isn't a…

Route with fewer holes for recessed or sports cars.
Many people have a lower than normal car. And at least in Brazil it is common streets with many holes and elevations that sometimes can not pass without losing the bumper.

waze for facilities
a new feature for waze - navigation for facilities. any new student in high school or collage spends some time trying to figure out where building no. 17 is, or the lab. the same is true for visiting hospitals, finding the right section, elevator and unit. the fact that public buildings plans already exist as digital files should facilitate development. yet another idea - an option to temporarily stop the application when entering an elevator.

Increase the notification for speed traps
The warning for speed traps was probably intended for when a trap is sited on the same road as the motorist. Some traps are now being located on higher elevations (road bridges that cross the target road or higher ground) that provide a greater line of sight and thereby rendering the normal speed trap warning insufficient. I would happily receive a warning at least a mile out from a trap, instead of seeing the trap before the alert occurs.

Audible warning needed for dangerous intersection
I live in the small town of Paris. Tennessee. We have an unusual intersection that travelers to the area are not used to. It's a T section (Hwy 79) at which drivers must make a left or right turn. Lately several drivers have attempted to drive straight through. They have hit the brick wall that is there. The property there is elevated. It belongs to a restaurant. The owners have repaired and repainted the wall a few times, but it continues to get hit causing severe injuries and vehicle damage. My suggestion is that an audible warning be put on…

Multiple Road Toggle
For areas with multiple levels (e.g. express way on top of a regular highway) or multiple parallel roads (e.g. regular highway and express way next to each other), there should be an option to configure which one you are actually on since sometimes Waze gives you directions that don't match up like telling you to take a turn when you're in an elevated part and not approaching an exit or telling you that it will take 5 minutes instead of the actual 30 because it thinks you're in an express way.

- Enhanced Gas Station Listing: It would greatly benefit users if the app could accurately list nearby gas stations along the route. Often, the suggested stations are either behind or significantly off the intended path. Providing closer and more convenient options would improve the overall navigation experience.
- Diverse Route Options: While the app excels in offering optimal routes based on live data, having access to additional route options beyond the closest or best ones would be fantastic. Users would appreciate the ability to explore and select from a range of potential routes to suit their preferences.
- Accessible Route Customization: Implementing a…

Use vector engine
I am writing to share a suggestion that I believe could significantly improve the driving experience in Waze navigation.
Currently, roundabouts in Waze are displayed as segmented roads rather than smooth, circular vectors. This design works functionally, but it can make navigation less intuitive, especially in complex roundabouts with many exits. Sometimes, the segmented view even increases the risk of missing the correct exit because the visual flow is not entirely clear.
By contrast, TomTom GO Navigation adopts a fully vector-based rendering of roundabouts. This makes the roundabout appear as a continuous, smooth circle, and when approaching it, the app…
