Adding the time based speed limits on highways, in the Netherlands the speedlimit on highways differs on the time of day.

Time dependent Speed Limits
We really need the ability to add time dependent Speed Limits for school zones or other times of the day where the maximum speed limit changes, this would not only help with navigation slow downs (which most school zones wouldn't affect too much anyway) but would also increase safety for drivers and pedestrians in the area.
If we were able to set speed limits during specific times of the day it would mean a popup warning for a changed speed would mean users would be aware and slow down and hopefully prevent accidents from occurring in this speed…

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

Option to report reduced speed limits due to road works (construction).
Option would be for reduced speed ahead. Would be useful to know of upcoming congestion

Temporary Speed Limits for Road Works
I would like to suggest adding functionality to Waze that supports temporary speed limits on road segments affected by road works. This would work similarly to the current "Closures" feature in the Waze Map Editor (WME).
Reason for Request:
This summer, we have received numerous reports from drivers through the mobile app, indicating incorrect speed limits displayed on roads under construction. Currently, setting temporary speed limits and later restoring the original limits after the road works are completed is a time-consuming, double effort for us.A "Temporary Speed Limits for Road Works" feature would not only streamline the process…

Improved reporting of wrong speed limits
When reporting a wrong speed limit, for suggestable speed limits the current speed fractionable by 5 above and below should be available as selection. Driving at proper speed that would easily allow to report the correct speed.

Wazer statistics make posted speed limits obsolete
When driving in fog, darkness or on unfamiliar roads I want a warning from Waze, if my speed is greater than (say) the 90th percentile of the Wazer statistical distribution for my position and driving direction.
I would also like to be alerted if another Wazer near before me drives much slower than I do.
BACKGROUND
Guidelines from location- and real-time data on the speed of Wazers should be more safety-relevant than rigidly posted speed limits, constant over both time and long distances.

Speed limits ahead
How about an Info of speed limits ahead on cirrent road.
Why?
If you travel over Land, you are usually allowed to do 100kmh. At intersections, small villages etc. the speed Limit is usually reduced to 70kmh. If there could be some kind of Information with a speed Limit ahead, about 300 to 500m ahead you could just take you foot of the Gas an let the car roll to safe energy. I Do it regularly on known Routers, if traffic allows it (no one behind me how might be annoyed). With this Methode I m able to have 1…10 votes -

U.K. Motorway Variable speed limits
Is there a way that Waze can receive an information feed of the U.K. motorway variable speed limits?
I am sure this must exist and have the ability to be tapped into.
The M25, is a great example, but there are many more motorways across the country, often have variable speed limits posted on signs above the lanes. These can change depending on the operators and in response to incidents or traffic conditions.
It would be incredibly useful to be able to see on the Waze screen what the current limit is, and to know that it is current.5 votes -

Notifications for Roads with Variable Speed Limits
Lots of UK motorways have variable speed limits. Obviously these change a lot so there’s no way we can have a live map of them, but as you go on to a road with a variable speed limit it would be nice to get a notification saying something like “Entering Variable Speed Limit Area. The legal speed limit may be different to the limit shown in Waze.” Another useful notification could be on the approach to traffic or around reported broken down cars, a notification asking the lines of “Hazard/Traffic reported on the road ahead, pay attention to Variable …

Calculate ETA based on own average speed
ETA calculation seems to be based on traffic conditions and general average speed. ETA calculation seems to be inaccurate when driving below the average speed of the road-segment as it keeps increasing while driving with constant (low) speed.
It would be great if ETA calculation would also be accurate for vehicles going below average speeds (e.g. trucks in europe etc.)

Suggested driving speed based on traffic
Based on current driving conditions, the app would let you know how fast you should be going to keep traffic moving (i.e., if it was heavy traffic the app would recommend a speed of 10mph vs. moderate traffic with a recommended speed of 35mph). The feature would also suggest a lane you should be driving in, based on GPS speed, so drivers who prefer to go at a modest highway speed are in the middle or right lanes.

Speed limits not correct for the whole of the Netherlands
Dear Waze,
The speed limits have changed in the Netherlands since March 2020. All you speed limits are incorrect throughout the whole country.
These are the new ones, only for highways, but in national level!!!
So this applies for the complete country!From 19h (7 pm) to 6h (6 am) = 130 kilometer per hour
From 6h (6 am) to 19h (7 pm) = 100 kilometer per hourYour set speed limits are completely wrong in the app.

Variable Speed Limit Camera Audio Cues
Hi, based in the UK here.
When a user drives in a variable speed limit zone on a motorway in the UK, Waze thinks the speed limit is 70 mph all the time when in fact the speed limits can be changed from anywhere between 20 mph and 70 mph.
These variable speed limit zones have several speed cameras that can detect speeding for a variety of speed limits.
When navigating on Waze, when approaching a speed camera the audio cue for alerting to speed cameras does not play when driving within the speed limit shown in Waze,…
