Bridge opening
We have a lot of draw/lift bridges in the area and it would be nice if we could either report the bridge opening as a "Wazer" or if there was a way to gather that info from the web to auto generate on our app.

Show bridge height
Not once, I've heard of trucks getting into accidents by hitting a bridge that is too low to the vehicles height.
Why not display the bridges on the route and their height to prevent those type of accidents?133 votes -
Bridge out
I was driving in an area where a bridge was out and under construction. The construction was showing up but there was no way to tell it that it was closed and for the navigation to use a different route. It kept trying to send me over the bridge. I tried several different ways to get the closure to show up.

One Lane Bridge Alerts
It would be great to have a warning when approaching a one lane bridge, given that it's an important time to slow down and be prepared to stop. By one lane bridge, I mean a bridge with one lane that is shared be the traffic going in either direction (https://www.nzta.govt.nz/roadcode/general-road-code/road-code/about-driving/giving-way/giving-way-on-one-lane-bridges/).
Generally one direction gets the right of way, so it would also be handy to have that included in the warning.

I think an option in the driver settings to ‘avoid low bridges’ would be a useful tool for many.

vehice type and bridge height
Should include the Highest of HGV and Luton Van on vehicle type.
Also, the map should have an option the avoid going under the bridge due to the height of certain Luton vans and HGV.27 votes -
swing bridge
Hello. make the possibility of building the route, taking into account the bridges. St. Petersburg (Russia), it is true. in winter bridges are not diluted, but the program thinks that the bridges are divorced and build a detour route. Thank you for your program :)

Option to avoid a specific bridge.
I want to be able to avoid specific bridges (Chesapeake Bay Bridge). It would be nice to be able to avoid a specific section of road, either permanently or per drive.

reports of "Missing bridge overpass"
As I am editing maps I see a lot of user reports of "Missing bridge overpass".
Usually, there is nothing I can do about the report because I don't see any sign of a Missing bridge overpass anywhere nearby.
Sometimes I can tell that the road has an intersection that should be an overpass with no intersection and I can fix that.I suggest that there are three major categories of things needing to be reported:
1) immediate traffic problems due to movable objects.
a) traffic problems
b) hazards
2) long term problems due to changes in permissible traffic

Add Humber bridge status update
To add a notification / alert if you are crossing the Humber bridge to update on wind conditions as some vehicles ( vulnerable vehicles and lorry’s) are not allowed to cross when the wind conditions are too high and other then checking the website or the electronic signs that barely work you have no idea until you have already joined the bridge.

Need way to edit/show one lane bridge, especially due to long term construction. Current situation causes two way traffic to wait while traffic lights on ramps and road cycle to allow only one ramp or roadway lane to proceed at a time from any direction.
No existing Waze edit function to mark local bridge that is under repairs and causing traffic delays. How can we show detour? All traffic is now funneled through one lane on bridge one traffic direction/lane at a time. No edit function to indicate this to warn drivers to avoid bridge, at least not…

Alert And/Or Settings/Navigation Option for Low Bridges
Low bridges (rail and road) are an issue throughout Westchester County, NY and over-height trucks frequently strike these bridges. Apparently on S Main (Rt 1) in Port Chester, Metro North is reporting a low bridge as an object in the road (for several months).
The problem here is, I would never consider a bridge as an 'object in road'. Rather, this alert distracts from looking at the low bridge warning signs. Why won’t the maps allow me to cross the dartford tunnel/ QE2 bridge
It won’t let me go through the tunnel or over the bridge. I have clicked allow the dart charge as an exemption but it makes no difference. Ive deleted it and re-downloaded it but it doesn’t work.

Coller change whin in an elevation like a bridge
Some times the path is the same.but one is in an elevation one is beneath it .I sugest that the path changes color when it's a bridge ar over path so we know we have to go up our stay below. I'm Luiz Roberto Menezes Pereira ID 19.185.986-2

Drawbridge Alert - Beta test a citizen based alert that lets drivers know if there is a scheduled bridge opening
We have a historic drawbridge that backs traffic up for sometimes over and hour. Could we beta test a citizen based alert that lets drivers know if the bridge is scheduled to open so that drivers could take alt route, to alleviate traffic? Bridge openings can be determined by monitoring marine VHF radio channel 9. Locals listening could log in and alert drivers and cyclists that there is an upcoming opening.

different color & voice on map to indicate the route is a overhead bridge
sometimes there are overhead bridges that have the similar route as the road on ground. It is very confusing to look at the map. When we made a mistake and accidentally drive into the wrong lane (overhead-bridge/under the bridge) waze is still directing us to go further but the route is becoming more and more confusing because we are on the overhead/bottom, and GPS is showing only either one of it. GPS doesn't tell us we are on top of the bridge. so since we cannot change what the satellite see from the top. is…
