Add full support on HUD displays on cars
When using Waze in my Car via Android Auto, it shows show semi support on the HUD display.
For example, when turning left on roundabout, the arrow and symbol shows straight instead of circle with left arrow surrounding it.
Another support is missing - When driving on road with several lanes and need to stay on right lane or left lane, no lanes appear on HUD, only straight arrow.
Google Maps and Sygic work great with HUD display so it's clearly an issue with Waze.
Please fix.

Incorrect Symbol in HUD and Widget for Roundabouts via Android Auto
Issue: Incorrect Symbol in HUD and Widget for Roundabouts via Android Auto
Vehicle: Smart #3 Brabus
Phone: OnePlus 13
Problem: When using Waze through Android Auto, roundabouts show incorrect navigation symbols in the car’s HUD and media widget. This does not happen in Google Maps.
The main screen shows correct instructions, but the HUD and widget display incorrect icons — often showing wrong turn direction or exit.
Please verify if the Android Auto metadata (like NavigationTemplate or TripInfo) is being sent correctly by Waze for HUD integration.3 votes -
Prioritize Full CarPlay Integration: HUD & Instrument Cluster Directions
Hello Waze Team,
This post is to strongly urge the prioritization of full integration with Apple CarPlay to enable turn-by-turn navigation on built-in Head-Up Displays (HUD) and digital instrument clusters.
This remains one of the most critical safety and convenience features missing from Waze, and it's a primary reason why many drivers reluctantly switch to Apple Maps when using CarPlay.
The Technical Framework Exists
We understand that enabling this feature is entirely possible within Apple's provided framework. The process is initiated by implementing the mapTemplateShouldProvideNavigationMetadata(_:) delegate method. By returning true from this function, Waze can signal to CarPlay…

HUD Distance Rounding
For cars with HUD/secondary display on cluster, the distance to next turn is always rounded. (15.8 miles show up as 16 miles, 12.4 miles show up as 12 miles)
This make sense when the distance is further away (over 10 miles), but when we are closer (< 10 miles), the rounding could be confusing. For example, 1.4, 1.3, 1.2, 1.1, 1, 0.9, 0.8, 0.7, 0.6, 0.5 mile all shows up as 1 mile, and 0.4, 0.3, 0.2, 0.1 mile show up as 0 mile (until unit switch to feet).
The rounding should be disabled (or switch to round to…2 votes -
Heads up Display (HUD)
make an heads up display icon so that the user can place it on their dash and the reflection will show up on the windshield.. for night time driving whee it is safer to stare closer to the road versus looking down...other apps use this idea but they dont have the GPS ability..it will set waze apart from all other GPS systems..and make it look extra cool!

Request for Full BMW iDrive 7 Integration (Cluster + HUD Support via CarPlay & Android Auto)
Hello Waze Team,
I’m writing as a dedicated Waze user and BMW owner who strongly believes that Waze deserves full integration into the driver’s cockpit — not just the center screen.
I currently use Waze on a BMW G20 330i xDrive (2021, iDrive 7) with the latest versions of iOS + CarPlay and Android + Android Auto (tested on both platforms). At this time, navigation only appears on the main display, while the instrument cluster and head-up display (HUD) remain inactive — which limits driver comfort, focus, and overall safety.
I would like to formally request that Waze…

HUD Interface
I own LEXUS NX450 F-Sport and use WAZE through Car Play. The problem is that there is no interface between the WAZE and the Head-Up-Display. For example, Apple Maps has such an interface. I think this is a must feature you have to add.

Forced Landscape mode
For use with a HUD display that displays as the orientation is on the phone. If it's in the portrait mode it will only fill portrait in the middle of the screen. If you turn the phone on it's side it fills the screen in the landscape mode but. If you have a forced landscape mode, you can orientate the phone in portrait but Waze would be in Landscape and display as landscape on the HUD screen. This would be great. Kind of like keeping it in the night mode instead of auto. Night mode works better with HUD displays.…

include a live odometer (android)
As a bicyclist, I don't get a spedometer nor an odometer with my bike. Instead of paying an extra $200 for the setup, I decided to mount my phone to my bike hence me using waze, and having a difficult time deciding whether or not I should use waze, or a diff app for my trips as I like keeping track of my speed, distance, and time for my various trips.
If you can include a hud or at least an indicator for distance traveled, that would be awesome. I'm liking the inDrive app style

Lexus
It would be nice if the next turn instruction can be synced to work with the Lexus heads up display. The OE navigation has the next turn displayed in the cluster and the heads up display but Waze only has it in the cluster. I wonder if Waze can also be synced with the HUD like the OE navigation.

Turn by turn on headup display (windshield)
Latest update 5.14.1.0 still does not enable turn by turn to show on the head up display (on winshield). There was a post that waze just needs to flip a switch. Google and apple maps already have it on. Can you guys please enable it? https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box/suggestions/50043126-prioritize-full-carplay-integration-hud-instrum

Add a wireless OBD2 sensor for additional vehicle safety information
Suggest adding a wireless Bluetooth OBD2 device (BlueDriver or OBDLink MX+) so Waze can access safety features from your vehicle such as:
1. Blind spot warning
2. Accidental lane departure
3. Show when turn signals are on - for those that forget - optional beep after 5 seconds and before my wife says “YOUR BLINKERS ON!!!”
4. Etc.Option - For lane departure and blind spot warning above - when the two are triggered the Waze display or the hud display below could kick in the appropriate mirror camera video (if the vehicle has mirror cameras) so you see the…

Merci Waze !!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

WAZE Collaboration - Infotainment Skoda
Good day.
I am a long-time, satisfied user of the WAZE application. I use this application both for work and privately. For a year now, I have been a private user of a 2020 Skoda Octavia, in which I can use WAZE services using the Android Auto application, I am very pleased with the possibilities that your application offers in this way, I have only one reservation about the cooperation between the application and the Skoda infotainment system. My car is equipped with a HUD display and there is one serious error on this display. Every time a maneuver marked…
