Alert "Traffic ahead" not helping...
The voice alert "Traffic ahead" should be hear at least 5 seconds before the traffic. Otherwise it misses the point - I can see the traffic by myself...

Zoom out when you are at a traffic light to turn
I like to see an improved zoom out of the map when you are at a traffic light to turn left or right.
Now you only see on the navigation map just a few meters ahead.
I want to see a bit more what's coming up next after the turn.The big advantage of Waze is to see the directions far ahead, but only not when you standing still and need to make a 90 degrees turn after a traffic light.
This is for me my biggest feature request and part which need to be improved in the (Android) app.

Enable drawing polygon areas where Closures cannot be applied
Use-case:
There is a bridge under construction where only one direction is open at a time, controlled by traffic lights. Currently, Waze often shows it as closed, even though cars are just waiting for the light to change.
Proposal:
Add a feature in WME to draw a polygon-shaped area where closures cannot be applied — useful for cases like temporary one-lane bridges with traffic lights, where Waze should display a queue instead of a closure.

Add intelligence to traffic jam detection
Often users parked will cause a false traffic jam to be reported, yet when stuck in traffic it is usual to be crawling or moving occasionally.
When Waze detects traffic conditions and pops up the question of whether you are in traffic please change the default response dependant on whether the vehicle has been moving or not. If it has been totally stationary please set default response to 'No' as in a total traffic jam the driver will most likely spot the dialogue, only use 'Yes' as the default action when there has been some movement which is much more…

Smart Alarm Clock using Traffic Data
Waze should have alarm clock functionality so that if your daily commute is expected to take 20 minutes longer than normal because of traffic then it will wake you up 20 minutes early. Or this could be a separate app that uses Waze's traffic flow data. This would be especially useful to those of us that live in areas where snowstorms can wreak havoc with traffic flows.

Be able to dismiss the traffic alert when traffic is gone
It happens often to drive through roads where traffic alerts have been reported but gone at the time of driving there. It would be useful to be able to dismiss the traffic reports

Traffic Simulation For Wazers To Work Together To Improve Traffic
Make a simulation to see what traffic would be like if either everybody abided by the laws OR people worked together to go a "Waze assisted" speed to improve traffic flow for others (for instance, speed up or slow down according to upcoming traffic information to help maintain traffic flow together). It could also tell you how many people/wazers you would affect, positively, from the actions you take.

New source on Waze
I make a suggest for Waze: should you guys insert a source by GPS and infrared connections to traffic lights, that it works lowering the time of red light on those traffic signals, by flood of people registered on Waze database.

Traffic officer
In the UK we have Traffic officers that are not police. They are just Highway officers that patrol and look after the roads it would be good to be able to report them. Sometimes they are in the road clearing debris and helping the police so making drivers aware could save their lives.

Take into account holiday traffic
During holidays traffic over here, and i guess in most of the world, is quite different. I do a 100 km round trip every day and I appreciate that waze not only takes into account the current conditions but also takes into account what traffic is going to be like when I eventually get there. But during holidays I have to ignore waze completely or I'll arrive half an hour later because waze is calculating a route taking into account what traffic will be like on a normal working day instead of vacation days. Turn on the lights alert.
In Brazil, even during the day it's mandatory to turn on the car lights when we drive in a route (highway).
It would be very helpful there was an alert reminding us to do it each time we start driving on a highway.

Please add stop lights.
Please add stop lights. They help when I'm not driving on the highway and especially when I'm driving in the city. I count how many stop lights I have so I know exactly where to turn and don't feel consistently lost.

How to disable trafficlight pop-ups?
Disable traffic lights alerts should be on the menu optios. It always gets in the way, while I'm trying to find the streets. Very annoying!! Please fix this!!!!

Calculate fuel consumption and show cost of the route
It would be great to be able to enter the average fuel consumption for certain speeds for your vehicle and then while calculating show also the cost of the route. It can be calculated by known speeds on the road, the need to stop and go on traffic lights, the overall profile of the route. Display time stamp for waze recorded traffic.
It would be nice to see how long ago waze recorded the traffic(speed of a user). Waze tried to reroute me because it said there was traffic ahead, but I continued and where it showed red on the map, there was no traffic at all.

Stop routing traffic inappropriately
I am contacting everyone at Waze right now. Waze is causing problems.
Highway 17 from San Jose to Santa Cruz is notorious for its beach traffic. Waze directing traffic thought downtown Los Gatos and on to mountain side roads to avoid this.
STOP DOING THIS!
First of all this is causing horrendous gridlock in downtown Los Gatos. The town has put up signs telling Beach Traffic to stick to Highway 17. Drivers are ignoring this because Waze gives tells them they can cut thru Los Gatos. This is causing MASSIVE problems.
Second, DON'T direct people off Hwy 17 on…
