Truck routes
Waze dev team,
Please consider an option for drivers (Waze users) to enter in their vehicle height so that Waze can provide them with suitable routes, avoiding routes with low bridges/clearance?
This would be applicable for truck drivers, tradespeople with work vans and work equipment on roof as well as casual drivers with trailers.
Reason for this is to avoid the frequent low bridge collisions or congestion due to truck having to back out of road.
In Australia, prior to GPS maps such as Waze or Google Maps, we used to have truck edition of paper maps or map books…

Truck Driver friendly
I would love to see a truck driver (class A and class B) friendly to where truck drivers can see height of bridges and the maximum weight capacity it holds. This would open up some much more interest for people and increase usage. My spouse hates google maps and Apple Maps because they never work for him he loves wazes but wishes it incorporates truck drivers. Please take this into consideration I would appreciate it so much thank you.

food-truck locations
Living in a big city with lots of major events, it would be great to be able to see what food-trucks are available at events or where your favorite food-truck is located (this would required some sort of GPS tracking option for the food-truck when it is operational).

Waze truck
Hello. Waze could implement a GPS feature for trucks, such as restricted areas, rotations, roads that have space for long trucks like trailers. I believe this feature would help thousands of truck drivers like me.

RV/Truck routing
Any possibility in the future to be able to choose RV or Tractor Trailer as your vehicle then trigger truck routes that would send you around low clearances or sharp turns, step grades etc.?

Truck
Ok, so 6+ years ago it was in the too hard basket to make a truck route...
How about just collect data from people who want to add road closures to already set routes but so long as the vehicle type is set for truck/RV. Effectively it would be a clone overlay of map guides but over time with the community help it would create itself and within days to start with.
I would happily help through the teething issues within the first few months of individually adding closure roads to route if it meant that the route was…6 votes -
Truck Routes / Bike Routes
Add a commercial truck routes mode for truck drivers on the app, a lot of trailer tractor drivers out there struggling with traffic and fines bc of not knowing which routes are best for them on each new city they go to. PLEASE HAVE THIS IN CONSIDERATION ALONG WITH BIKE ROUTES TOO.

Avoid parkways or truck route option
Does Waze offer an option for Truck Routes? I travel frequently on Long Island, NY and I have a cargo trailer on my SUV... Waze directs me onto parkways and I can't take parkways with the trailer.
Also, it would be wonderful if, when approaching your destination, Waze would tell you if it was on the right or left side of the street.31 votes -
Big truck on side of the road.
Hello, would you consider: an option for "Big Truck" stopped on the shoulder? As someone who drives a commercial motor vehicle over a 130,000 miles a year, I can tell you that the majority of cars on the shoulder are abandoned whereas the majority of big trucks on the shoulder are broken down and or getting service at the time and there's usually a human being somewhere walking in and out of the highway at the truck is being repaired. Hi Waze-Customer-Support,
Sorry to hear that the fire truck icon has disappeared. I always thought of it as a way to honor our current and retired First Responders like myself.
I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to bring it back, please. I have a lot of sisters and brothers that would appreciate it.

Hi Waze team! It would be incredibly helpful to add a dedicated routing option for trucks towing travel trailers. This feature could generate safe routes that account for:
- 🚫 Avoiding sharp or narrow right turns
- 🚧 Identifying height restrictions and bridge clearances
- 🛑 Bypassing roads with trailer or truck limitations

Can you please put an option for TRUCK stopped instead of just CAR stopped.
PLEASE ADD AN OPTION FOR A STOPPED “TRUCK” AND NOT JUST A CAR.
