1. "alerts only" mode should include rerouting notifications

   Currently, there are 3 sound modes, which is great. "On", "Off" and "Alerts Only". I use "On", when I've never been there before and "Alerts Only" during my daily commute. I love the Alerts Only mode for a daily commute. Problem is, sometimes Waze sees an issue ahead during my commute and only makes a screen notification. I'd really want to be alerted about that.

   So I'd like "Alerts Only" to consider a rerouting notification as an alert and not 'normal' navigation instructions.

2. New Functions for Linking External Provider Locations (Google Pin)

   In the past, the WME PIE Script provided a valuable feature that allowed us to directly view the exact location of a place on Google Maps overlaid on the Waze map. Recently, this functionality was removed at Waze's request.

   Most editors, including myself, consider this feature essential. Taking this opportunity, I suggest we request improvements to this linking tool. Below are some current issues and proposed solutions:

   Issue 1:
   Currently, WME allows the same CID to be added multiple times to the same place. This creates disorganization in the links.

   Solution 1:
   Block duplicate additions of the same place. In the search list, duplicate places could be highlighted with a different color to indicate they have already been added.

   Issue 2:
   Often, the first result in the list when adding a place is not the correct one. It could be a branch, located in a different neighborhood, city, or even state, leading to incorrect links and misdirecting drivers.

   Solution 2:
   Sort search results by proximity to the place's coordinates. Additionally, when hovering over a result, the map should visually highlight the exact location of the place (a feature previously available in PIE).

   Issue 3:
   WME allows the same Google place to be linked to multiple Waze places. It’s unclear how Waze determines the correct location for the end user, but this behavior should clearly be avoided.

   Solution 3:
   Prevent a Google place from being linked to more than one Waze place. In the search list, hovering over a linked Google place should indicate which Waze place it is already associated with.

   Additional Suggestion:
   Instead of relying solely on lists for links, WME could include a new layer that displays Google places directly on the map. To link a place, users would only need to click on it.

   Building on this idea, WME could allow updating the PIN of Google places directly within the tool, eliminating the need to open Google Maps to request PIN corrections.

3. edit word cutting

   many words in dutch like "roodlichtcamera", "werkzaamheden", "trajetcontrole" are cutted on weird position to fit on the screen. Maybe reduce resolution to fit a word in one line

4. Please translate foreign words for exit and onramp

   I love waze and have used for several years. One thing, however, is annoying me and that is the English pronunciation of foreign words that mean exit, on ramp, and so forth. It makes no sense what so ever.

   For example, I am using waze in Sweden with the English voice over. The Swedish word for "exit" is "Avfart" and instead of translating this to the English word exit, the voice pronounces the word in English. This word is never used on signs in Sweden, only the exit number is listed, so it is really confusing. The same applies to "påfart" which means on ramp in Swedish and there are probably more examples both in Swedish and other languages.

   It is bad enough that all the road names are pronounced in English and are completely uncomprehensible even for Swedes. It would make much more sense if the pronunciation was based on swapping the three Swedish special characters ä ö å with their closest neighbors a o aa. The latter applies to Denmark and Norway as well with the addition of the letter æ, which is ae.

   This is a nuisance for tourists visiting foreign countries.

5. Bus lanes - when you are allowed to use them - or is there any bus lane watch out for

   I would love to see bus lanes in Waze. I live in London, driving 50 or so miles a day and I think it would help to get from A to B faster.

   In London majority of bus lanes are restricted for certain times.
   for example 07 am to 10 am and any other times anyone can use it. Or different times, the point is that they are not always restricted.

   The way I see it, a small icon on the screen that resembles to something like a bus lane when the bus lane where you are is blue when you may use it, and red when you may not it.

   Can be more advanced, a countdown of meters/yards/feet until it ends.
   Even a timer if let say within 2 minutes the restriction you drive along one,if the restriction is in place then it counts down in red until such time the restriction has finished. However if you drive along and restriction coming up, the same thing happens.

   Also it can contain information about bus lane cameras. The possibilities are endless really.

   As for the data, such as where are the bus lane what are the restrictions, what times etc.

   For London I can collect this information within 6 months if its not readily available.

6. Traffic Reporting

   users report traffic even at 2am on an empty street as heavy or even standstill just to get points.

   Recommend a change where the user only presses a button that says "report traffic". Then the app over 3 minutes send location and speeds to server and server decides based on reported speed vs posted speed, the heaviness of traffic. At 80% if posted a peed you mark "moderate". At 60% it's "heavy" and at 40%, it's at a "standstill".

7. Have an OPTION for arriving on the same-side of the street as the destination.

   This would apply mostly to cities but it could also apply in other congested areas. Arriving on the wrong side of the street in a city situation can be as bad as arriving several blocks away since in order to turn into the parking for the building you cannot crossover the heavy traffic or possibly a median. Instead you have to come up with your own way of circling around (and there may be many 1-way streets to thwart you) to get your vehicle on the same side of the street as the destination so you can park/drop off or what have you.

   Again, I think this should be an option because often it doesn't matter and one can either safely make the turn or dropping off on the opposite street side isn't an issue.

   This would apply mostly to cities but it could also apply in other congested areas. 8. WAZE to avoid ULEZ zones - type in your vehicle reg before travel?

   In April 2019 central London areas operate a 24/7 charge for vehicles which don't pass the ultra low emissions zone. This is the same boundaries as the congestion charge. This is in effect a toll. The only way I can see WAZE controlling this is that the driver must enter their reg that they are driving so that WAZE knows to avoid this toll. My car for example will fall short of the ULEZ, whereas my girlfriends will not so it is dependent on what you drive. Will WAZE build this into their app as a way of avoiding this toll?

9. Route Preview Option

   You select a route, then press the "Route Preview" button. Map view will then zoom to your current location and travel down the selected route as if you were driving. The map pans down the route so that you can see all the things you will be dealing with along the way without having to scroll around the map with your finger. Adding a "preview speed (1x, 2x, 3x, etc)" and a "pause preview" option would be a great addition to this.

    Po's words of wisdom was removed from recent waze updates. Pls put it back as it really lightens up my days during daily traffics.

    Also, if possible, to have Master Shifu or Master Oogway as voice guides in future updates.

12. To be able to add a place where there is trash to clean

    Hi Waze Team,
    We were looking for a map of places where people drop trash, you know, like on the side of a road with lots of plastic bags for example. Why ? Because we would like to easily organize trashremoval operations with our association to protect the environnement. And we were thinking : what would be better than people just having to push a button on the Waze app to pin point the location of such trashy places ? Is it something you'd be willing to consider ?
    Like me when i see a police control, i signal it to other drivers, that way i could also indicate to the thousands of people who want to clean the environnement (see on twitter the #trashchallenge hashtags) where it is necessary to clean.
    It would be extremely useful and could be set in a filter so that only those who are interested can see it on their maps.

13. Comments on PURs

    It would be nice to have a comment section on a PUR, especially for pictures. It would allow the editors to give a reason why the picture or update is being rejected. So maybe the next time they would try to take a better picture that did not include, faces, license plates, etc. I think this would help the community be more aware of what we as editors can accept. I think being able to tell them the reasons instead of just rejecting it would help more, due to the fact users my be confused or upset that their pictures or updates never get published.

14. Add common objects to Hazard:Road

    To reduce the possibility of the user becoming a potential road hazard, update the Report:Hazard:Road option with a submenu so that we don't have to type out what's in the middle of the road. There is already an option to report cars stopped on the shoulder, but none to report cars stopped in lane, or tire treads, or deceased animals.

    It doesn't need to be fancy, just something so that we don't need to type, unless it's something really unusual.

15. Pause audiobooks during Waze alerts

    I listen to a lot of audiobooks (via Overdrive app) while using Waze to navigate, when I get a Waze alert or prompt though Waze will talk over the audiobook rather than pause/resume it. It's very annoying and I often miss what the narrator is saying and have to back it up. I wish the audiobook could be paused while the Waze alert is given and then pick right back up again afterwards.

16. calculated average speed of average speed segment

    There are some road segments which have average speed cameras. Almost always the human beings unable to calculate average speed, so instead they simply don't exceed the enforced speed, the max speed, not average. In case if there are obstructions, slow vehicles, turning vehicles in the average speed segment, the real average speed may fall significantly below what was requested by Road Code rules.
    Please add indicator of calculated average speed of passing of the current average speed segment

    היי, חשבתי על הוספת נתון שתאפשר התראה על רכב המגיע ממול בכביש דו סיטרי.
    לא פעם ולא פעמיים קורה לנו שאנחנו רוצים לעקוף רכב, אך לפעמים אין באפשרותינו יכולת לראות את הצד השני בשל ראות לקויה, תנאי כביש והדרך.
    מכיוון שאפליקציית ווייז עובדת על ג'יפיאס, אפשר לעשות אפשרות במפה שתראה את התנועה לא רק בנתיב שלך אלא בנתיב ממול.
    למרות שזמן תגובה של הווייז מהלווין למכשיר זה בערך 3 שניות, לפחות שתהיה התראה של כמה מאות מטרים, ככה אני מאמין שזה ימנע הרבה תאונות של אנשים שממהרים לעקוף ומסתכנים בתאונה.

    It would be great if I could add a custom date for Planned Routes. I have an event I'd like to plan a route for, but it's in September. Other times, I don't know what day specifically it will be. Other times I know the specific date, but not what day of week it is.

20. Android Auto - quick actions

    It would be nice to have the ability to create a "quick actions" group.
    For example, to report the pothole I need to make three actions: 1) click on the "chat" button, 2) select "event on the road", and 3) "report a pothole". It's unsafe. If I would be able to add this action to the "quick actions", I would only need to click this button. It would be safer, and it would motivate users to report these problems more often. "Quick actions group" might be places next to the "chat" icon.
