Scenic drive routes
There are scenic drive routes in some cities around the world. I am in San Francisco and SF has a 49 miles Scenic Drive that we need to follow a bird sign. Sometimes we lost it and have to return back. My idea is to Waze navegante from where I am to the nearest location where the Scenic Route is and then continue to this Scenic Route until where I started. this route. Have a manual option to modify route of travel
WAZE gives a route for fastest or shortest trip which is great in most cases . But could we give user's the option to take a less congested or more scenic route as a user's choice by allowing changes to the route instructions or on the map like Google maps with a drag and drop option.OR better yet allow import of Google saved maps into WAZE.

alternate route to Bay St.Louis Mississippi
I use appleplay.
Will be going to Bay St. Louis Mississippi this coming Jaunuary and looking at Waze routes, there is no alternate routes to take other than route 95. On map quest they have 3 routes to choose from. The route I've always take has been route 95 south from Rhode Island, New Jersey Tpke, I- 78, I-81 south towards Harrisburg, I-40 west, I-75 S, I-24, I-59, I459, I-59 south, to I-10E ending up on US-90E. Customize Your Route
There should be a way where you can customize your own route, especially if you want to take scenic routes that you might not know the directions, while having the same benefits that Waze offers (navigation, police, traffic, etc).
I was just on a drive that I took six different highways on my own before meeting up to the Waze route and I had to turn my Waze off because it kept re-routing me to the "fastest" route... If I was able to plan my route and customize it to the route I want to take, that…

route overview
Please add an option to see either a birds-eye overview or a turn-by-turn list (or both?) of the route Waze is taking me on.
Sometimes I know I want to avoid a particular road. So when Waze plots a route for me at the start, I can review the proposed alternate routes and choose one. But if I need to deviate from that route to make a side errand maybe, Waze will recalculate my route on the fly, going back to its #1 preferred route. Route suggestion
Noticed Waze always gives a longer route to destination which is quite silly. I suggest Waze can roll out analysis suggestions on 1)the shortest possible route, 2) the quickest possible route & 3) Waze recommended route instead of the current 3 route suggestions that are very similar.

Alternate Route
Very frustrating when Waze updates the route with a bunch of turns,including a few difficult left turns, and it results in a time savings of a minute or two. Sometimes it doesnt save any time at all. I suggest an option were you can choose a time savings minimum before waze will take you off your current route. For example I would prefer to stay on my current, more direct route, unless a time savings of 5 min is available then please change my route.

With the new update you all took away the option to search by shortest route available or Fastest route available. Please bring this function back.

I select avoid freeways and Waze still takes me the quickest. I would like to use the back roads, scenic routes. I’m not in a hurry.
Back roads/scenic routes. Not everyone enjoys driving on the freeway/highway. I do use interstates but often want to use the back roads/scenic routes. Especially if I’m not on a time schedule and or in my classic vehicle.

Lock the chosen route
When i choose a route, I want the option to just follow that without change! Sometimes waze changes the route because of allegedly less traffic route, but the reroute takes me longer & farther! Sometimes I just want to stick with the original route! Give us this choice!

pre-plan route
I would like the ability to pre-plan a route from the convenience of my office/home computer via a web service and then send these routes to my phone (Waze will automatically load this route).

Route Preview Option
You select a route, then press the "Route Preview" button. Map view will then zoom to your current location and travel down the selected route as if you were driving. The map pans down the route so that you can see all the things you will be dealing with along the way without having to scroll around the map with your finger. Adding a "preview speed (1x, 2x, 3x, etc)" and a "pause preview" option would be a great addition to this.

Quick Route Refresh Button
I'd like to see a quick route refresh button on the primary map screen during navigation that I can tap once to force the current route to refresh. I'm often in the midst of a route that I can see is starting to become a bad idea, but the Waze app isn't adjusting for the oncoming traffic issues. If I go in and choose navigate and refresh the route it will often give me an updated route. It would be great if I can accomplish this with a quick route refresh button right there on the map screen.

Add a "Remember this Route" feature. WAZE should allow me to press a button to begin a route and another button to end the route.

Route History
I had the problem of having to think about what route I took when passing through tolls. I think it would be helpful if you can look at past routes. I know there's history but it just gives you location not the route you had to take. Tollways require the plaza numbers and the history of your route could allow someone to look at their history to find out this information.

Avoid asphalt
Avoid long asphalt.
For overlanding and discovering countryside route on smaller roads, preferably gralvel. Aka take the Scenic route.
There is no such navigation app nor functionality on gps devices.
A nice bonus would be a choice, slider: how much longer in time or distance am I willing to drive more then the direct route.1 vote -
Route Tracking Recorder Functionality
Implement a RTR(Route Tracking Recorder) Functionality.
Say you have this path you like to do every now and then. Activate the RTR and drive until your destination, once there, deactivate RTR. Done! Waze has recorded that route you just drove and saved it.
Ok... what now? Well, you can:1) Use it once again;
OR (where it really shines :)
2) share it to a friend, so that person will know that special route you did to save time from traffic.
