Police Heat Map
What about a feature that shows popular police trap locations. There are locations in my town that are popular with police to setup speed traps. If those areas could glow blue like traffic areas glow red, I think that could be a great feature. If you could use the information that wazers report, then that info could be processed through an algorithm that show the high probability areas.

Prevent Waze audio if a call is active
With the Text to Speech navigation active and a call comes in, the application will continue to speak over the caller on the speakerphone. Other audio applications like the audio MP3 player, will mute the music during the call and then resume after the call. Waze client should do the same.

iOS 8 location services
iOS 8 - please add the feature in location services to only use location when using the app, not always. Google Maps provides 3 location service options to users: always, never, when using app. Pleased add the option "when using app". Waze doesn't need to always track my location in the background and turning it on when I use the app is a pain.

Interface - needs to revert to 3.x
The new interface looks childish and is unusable in landscape mode. The next instruction box at the top is too big. The notifications are horribly big, and the ones that show when you stop at a traffic light are worse, with the black background.
The map looks drawn by a 4 years old in crayon, seems to lack a lot of the information it had on v3.x., the map lines are too wide.
Having functions that only show when you tap the screen is very bad in usability terms.

New Report- temporary traffic lights
Hello Waze,
A lot of roadworks in London are controlled by Temporary Traffic Lights
Which can be 2-Way (50% green)
Also can be 3-Way (33% green)
And can be 4-Way (25% green)
Therefore I suggest :Hazard ->On the Road -> Temp T/L -> 2Way
Hazard ->On the Road -> Temp T/L -> 3Way
Hazard ->On the Road -> Temp T/L -> 4Way

Option to disable route recalculating alert. That nerve wracking chirp is driving me crazy!
Whoever approved that grating & obnoxious squawking route recalculation alarm should be fired. I drive a cab and even my customers cringe when they hear it and say "what's that awful noise". PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET US TURN IT OFF! Alerts only should mean alerts only. Hearing that damn noise screech and grate 5 times when I'm driving through a parking lot is maddening!

support "car camera" mode
today, a lot of drivers buy a car camera. we can save it by adding this feature to waze.
the phone is already mounted aiming at the front of the car, and we can also recor sounds inside the car.save last 3\5 minutes. ON\OFF from settings, screen button to "save video".
permenantly delete older files not to use a lot of disk space and dont use the best camera option (3 min. of 4K is a lot!). option to save to internal memory\SD card if available. option to "share" the file to gmail, google drive etc.63 votesGreat thinking! Tarifs moyens des trajets
nous avons systématiquement plusieurs itinéraires possibles, parfois certains ayant un temps similaire voir identiques. Il pourrait être intéressant de mettre en avant les tarifs des péages ainsi parfois entre 2 trajets de 45 minutes entre le 1er faisant prendre 3 péage pour un total par exemple de 10€ et l'autre trajets avec un seul péage a 3€ cela évite des frais inutile. ou même parfois il est peut être intéressant de rallonger de 5 minute si cela évite un péage coûteux. I want a setting in the client where you can choose to return to "Me on map" after 10, 20, 30, 45 or 60 seconds of user inactivity.

choose my custom route!
Have you ever thought that the driver does every day the same way to go to work or home, so he already has his favorite ways? Have you ever thought about leaving the driver predefine these paths and when to consult the routes have a new area for "Custom Routes" and showing the conditions of transit and time for those 3 chosen paths? I would feel more comfortable in knowing how long it would take if I had chosen that MY way specifically. Thanks!

Accident alert
If something happened to a driver and it was an accident, Waze should detect the drastic "Stop" of the driver and after that if in th next 5-10 second no movements are done, should pop up a message asking the driver if he was in an accident, if the driver doesn't answer in 20-25 second, the "Alert" should appear on the map alerting the near user of Waze. What do you think?

I want to report hazards & closures even after i drove past it. like hold my finger on a location and report there.
I like to report things but by the time i open my waze app, i already drove a few blocks. And waze doesn't let me report anything 3 blocks back. Why can't I click on the map and pick the exact location?

Reminder: time to take a break!
We suggest introducing notifications that would remind drivers to take a 10 minute break when they have driven for 2 hours non-stop, and after a 4 hour drive would suggest taking a 20 minute power nap.
Research by the Latvian Road Traffic Safety Directorate shows that 11,7% of drivers are at high risk of falling asleep, and 1/3 of all drivers have experienced falling asleep at the wheel for a second in the last year.
By reminding drivers how important it is to take breaks, Waze can help prevent tragic accidents and save lives.

Lane Guidance
While using Waze on highways lately, I have begun to think that having the ability to see what lane becomes the off ramp would be great, especially in complex city interchanges.
Portuguese: Estava usando o Waze em rodovias e comecei a pensar que seria ótimo ter a capacidade de ver qual pista pegar, especialmente em trevos complexos dentro das cidades.
Spanish: Últimamente me he dado cuenta que al utilizar waze en capitales se hace muy necesario que waze indique cual carril de una calle, avenida o autopista, llega a ser una rampa, especialmente en complejos intercambios.

Please add/return the Separation Line on two-way roads
It helps wazers to arrive on correct side of road.
Give the correct route, without need to duplicate roads...Other option can be using the NUMBERS (houses) of roads to decide what is the correct way/side should be used...

Please REMOVE the SPEEDOMETER and Show the posted SPEED LIMIT instead!
I usually type long long long posts, but the title of this speaks for itself. Just a couple more details below.....
Nokia had a GPS app called HERE Drive. It showed you what speed you were going and what the posted speed limit of the road was. Very handy.
The release of Windows 10 has caused the HERE Drive app to be deleted and replaced with Windows Maps. Some of it the same and some different, but everything good was taken away. Windows Maps is horrible, and many people are now looking to choose a new app for navigation.

Flash screen or show some form of Visual alert (Maybe flash the screen white and black 3 times?) that would catch the drivers eye, when you have audio alerts muted? I mute mine as it causes my music to go quiet when an alert happens. (Apple CarePlay). A distinctive total screen flash might catch my peripheral vision, "Police ahead".

Add a traffic bar to map
Have a "Traffic Bar" that appear in the routes screen overlayed on the main map.
add a car to the bar that moves along with your journeys completion.
So when you are 85 percent home, the car has moved 85 percent up the bar.Also when the Bar-Car (Maybe we should think of a better name) gets near an event an audible alert gets triggered, like when you near a Cop it could say “Oh cock, its the Rozzers!” Or just “Police reported ahead”) Or when you are near a obstacle on road you could be warned – e.g. “Johnny…
