choose my custom route!
Have you ever thought that the driver does every day the same way to go to work or home, so he already has his favorite ways? Have you ever thought about leaving the driver predefine these paths and when to consult the routes have a new area for "Custom Routes" and showing the conditions of transit and time for those 3 chosen paths? I would feel more comfortable in knowing how long it would take if I had chosen that MY way specifically. Thanks!

COVID-19 Outbreak Tracking
Provide daily COVID-19 Outbreak Tracking. Your app should display red shaded bubbles over areas with outbreaks, with the bubble size proportional to the outbreak size. For example right now on March 19, 2020, there would be a large shaded red bubble over New York City. This would correspond to the current outbreak in New York city, and advise motorist to avoid this area as a stopover or even as a drive-through. This could help motorists avoid contamination and/or travel delays in the future if there are “containment “ areas. (You could get the data feed from John’s Hopkins…

Police Zones
Every time you drive on the highway, there are always spots where cops will hide out. Most people will slow down near no u-turn areas because they know of cops hiding there. When somebody makes a report of a cop in an area multiple times, zones or blue circles should be lightly covered on the map and fade over time. These zones will let users know "hey cops like this area a lot" or "ok cops do camp out over here just not recently". I think zoning is an easy thing to add and it helps people slow down…

Add a feature/option to avoid railroad crossings
Today I got stuck waiting for a freight train twice. It would have saved me time to have an option on Waze to give me an alternate route and how many minutes the detour takes in order to avoid the railroad crossing. When I got stuck for the 2nd time I took a right turn to explore the area and found an underpass 2 blocks away, which saved me about 5 minutes. This gave me the idea.

Settings for types of alerts to allow
There are many types of alerts the Waze client can display as a layer on the map and/or pop up on your screen, sometimes both visual and audible. We would like to see an new Settings area added for the types of alerts we want to see and/or ignore and never have a notification appear or be heard.
The notifications should include at least, but not necessarily limited to:
Speed cams
Red light cams
Police (speed trap)
Road Hazards
Road segment speed condition
Traffic Jams
Chit Chat
Accident233 votesGreat news! For each type of report/alert you’re able to specify whether you’d like it do be displayed on the route. Accessed via Settings – Alerts&Reports – Reports. What’s more, you can choose area (e.g. 5 km around you) for which reports will be displayed on the map.

Display map problems with area location
Messages title in the Inbox are general and not useful.

Bom dia
Sou de São Paulo, Brasil. Na minha cidade existe o rodizio de veículos, sendo de acordo com o final da placa dos carros.
Dependendo do dia da semana, o veículo não pode trafegar na area de rodizio.
Seria legal o waze ao traçar uma rota para o usuario, sugerir a opção de fazer o trajeto desviando da área de rodízio.
Esse recurso o waze ainda nao propcia.

Save and later upload client data for areas with limited cell and/or Wi-Fi only users.
The amount of data saved currently is insufficient to allow mapping of vast rural areas. Saving this data when storage is available and later uploading will speed the completion of your goals.

Having a paid version
I would like a version with better graphics and more details like the image of the road sign and auto zoom when approaching an exit.
For this I bought Sygic. For day to day traffic I use Waze but when going to an unknown area I have to use Sygic11 votes -
Fix the gas price functionality by adding additional shortcuts to update gas station prices and automatically remove old data
The current method of adding gas prices is apparently too hard for many Wazers to find. Editors are constantly receiving PURs regarding incorrect and out of date gas prices. I have three recommendations for where to add a shortcut:
- Add a button to the page that shows all of the gas stations near your location.
- Add a button on the gas station's info page right below the listed prices.
- If a user is located within the gas station area, give a popup (like when Waze detects a traffic jam).

search and set destination by grid reference
In the UK, websites often give a Grid Reference as opposed to a Postcode for the location of an event, especially in the countryside where a postcode covers a large area. The grid reference is therefore a more accurate way of indicating the destination.

Police Officer options
Any way to create an option to log on as a "verified" Police Officer so I can respond to hazzards not called in but reported to Waze? Maybe an option to create an overlay so if I'm signed on, I get notified of hazzards in my area?

Add option to display SpeedTraps on main screen without having to use menu.
Add in the settings an option to display "Speed Trap" info on main screen. This would display in either the title bar or on the main screen and would have an icon with two numbers: A red number that indicates the # of speedtraps on your route, and a Yellow number that indicates the # of speedtraps not on the route. This would be very useful because speedtraps move (police pull someone over and then sit in new spot), so it helps to have more advanced notice that police are in the area.

Option to keep "battery saver" always on
Waze has this new "battery saver" feature that dims the screen when there is a long way until the next turn/action. As I understand, currently this feature only kicks in when the battery level is low (<25%). Or you can manually turn it on for a current trip, but it revert to the default behaviour next time you start Waze.
I suggest to add an option to keep it ALWAYS on. Because I would like to use it all the time... Even if the battery level is not low, I'd like to save it for the rest of the day.…

Automatic Multiple Stop Route Optimization
Lets say I want to stop by 8 tourist locations in Washington, DC but because I am new to the area I will have no idea how to route myself optimally....so it would be awesome if I could just put in the location addresses or names and have WAZE optimize my stops to be most efficient and effective.
Now that would be an awesome travel tool! Heck it might even work for pizza delivery guys too! ;)

We hear the community’s voice and would like to share that while we can’t currently commit to a timeline, we do have plans to create a way to add more than one stop pre-drive.

Please create an option to use Waze in invisible mode
I know there is an anonymous mode in Waze but in my area, there are not many people using Waze so unless I want people to know exactly where I am at all times, I can't use it!
I love Waze and I'd be happy to have all my information contribute to traffic info and maps for everyone else, I'd rather not appear on the map as even as an anonymous icon. Would this not be a useful addition?21 votes -

I would like to see a way for Waze to distinguish between travel in express lanes or regular lanes on I-90 (Kennedy Expressway) and similar Chicago area roads. These are not HOV or toll lanes. Waze will often route me to the express lanes, but the line to enter the lanes negates any benefit, so I bypass and take the regular lanes. Waze, however, thinks I'm in the express lanes, causing navigation errors and headaches. Otherwise, I'm very happy with Waze. Thanks.
